[8.0] "Perhaps its a bit indicative of the insularity of NOAH's main event scene with how many times a handful of vets have won it, but in general its done an incredible job upholding a consistent string of high quality wrestlers who can live up to the high bar set by the kings road founders."
Zak22 wrote on 30.11.2024:
[8.0] "In the beginning, this title was the best in the world with the AJPW vets carrying this title to excellence, but these days the belt feels small time, mainly because NOAH feels small time. There are still some great champions and some brilliant matches but from a pure feeling perspective, its feels like the king of the non-mainstream belt rather than mainstream important in its own way."
Pigeon Scratch wrote on 15.08.2024:
[10.0] "The legacy and prestige of this belt has been solidified just by Kenta Kobashi's over 700 day reign, not to mention some of the best wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling have hold it, such as Mitsuharu Misawa, Akira Taue, Jun Akiyama, Kensuke Sasaki, Minoru Suzuki, etc. It hasn't been at it's heights in a bit, but with time it has been able to garner back some of that legendary status again. Despite more recent history being not as comparable to it's greatest moments, it's still one of the best world championships from japan, rivaled only to the Triple Crown and IWGP Heavyweight."
NEVERoverweightChampion wrote on 30.06.2023:
[9.0] "Belt that saw some of the biggest legends in Japanese wrestling history win it. With that said for a while the title lost a lot of its meaning when lower grade wrestlers won it and even in the more recent years the booking has been pretty weird. Still a prestigious belt but I hope NOAH protects it a bit more in the future."
JUmbo Akiyama wrote on 22.12.2022:

[10.0] "What a legacy this title has, in my opinion the most prestigious title in wrestling TODAY, it still has held up its prestige after all these years."
munrapido3 wrote on 02.05.2022:
[9.0] "Definitely a remarkable world championship with a really good lineup of champions. If we're gonna talk about the GHC Heavyweight title, most fans will never forget about talking Kenta Kobashi's legendary 2-year reign. The fantastic matches, unsurprisingly, are the golden standard for this belt."
Lalo Campos wrote on 19.10.2021:
[10.0] "One of the most prestigious World Championships in the world right now, Kenta Kobashi had the greatest reign in wrestling history with this title"
NOAHVoyager wrote on 15.03.2021:
[10.0] "My favorite Championship in all of Professional Wrestling! It got a decline with the Suzuki-gun shenanigans, but right now the GHC Heavyweight Championship gained his prestigious back with excelent title runs of Sugiura, Kiyomiya and Shiozaki, which made the GHC Heavyweight Title the most prestigious in the Puroresu World right now."
PuroresuLover wrote on 12.05.2019:
[10.0] "Since the beginning, we always had great champions and great matches. For me, the GHC Heavyweight Championship is the most prestigious Title of Puroresu, and Takashi Sugiura with his fourth reign proved that."
RatingsMachine wrote on 28.10.2018:
[6.0] "What was at one point the most important title in Japanese wrestling, with All Japan having fallen from its heights and New Japan mismanaged to the point that it almost went out of business, the GHC title's prestige has taken a major hit as NOAH's fortunes have likewise taken a hit."
forkboy wrote on 23.12.2016:
[6.0] "Just a belt that's suffered a lot because NOAH has suffered since the classic AJPW generation passed their peak."
Ice wrote on 14.05.2016:
[5.0] "Ever since guys like KENTA left the company, this title is hard pressed for value. It was made famous by Misawa but it's gone through a TNA-like decline in terms of booking and work as a title. It seems more like a title that can put you in a glass ceiling more than something to elevate your entire presence in the past couple years."
Undisputed wrote on 07.02.2015:
[9.0] "In my opinion this title is one of the best in the world. Very good champions like KENTA, Naomichi Marufuji, Go Shiozaki or legendary Kenta Kobashi or Mitsuharu Misawa and many fantastic matches for this championship."
Fighter Daron wrote on 29.01.2012:
[8.0] "This title, as NOAH, has two sides, one is with Misawa, Sasaki, Akiyama, Takayama, Go, Morishima as champions and the great reign by Kobashi, but the other is with Ogawa, Rikio, Marufuji, the new generation failed reigns and the grotesque more-than-needed extra longer Sugiura reign."
