[10.0] "The Shield might be the best faction to ever exist in WWE, everything was good about them, and when you see what they've become it's just insane. Their hype, the constant qualities of the matches and even the harsh 2017-2019 era, their feuds was good. I honestly hope that one day we will see them again at least once."

[10.0] "When WWE want "cool" wrestlers, they found the 3 coolest guys, and made the coolest stable of all time. Seeing these 3 guys wreck coordinated chaos on the roster was so cool. Definitely one of the few vince ideas that really stuck, and was actually good."

[9.0] "I think toward the end they maybe milked it a bit too much, but The Shield were basically what was keeping WWE afloat in 2013-2014, along with Daniel Bryan. A group that created three huge stars without needing an established star with them is pretty damn impressive."

[9.0] "I love The Shield, but as a pure faction, they're a bit overrated. However, the popularity that Seth, Dean, and Roman have enjoyed individually and together is undeniable."

[10.0] "The Shield isn't just another faction -- they're the greatest faction of all time. They redefined what a faction could be, they elevated the business, and they pushed wrestling into a new era. Without The Shield, this industry wouldn't be what it is today believe in the shield."

[7.0] "Great, but overrated. Better as singles wrestlers than they ever were as a stable. Roman was way too green and they had to hide him every match. Mox was still immature in ring and wwe never understood how to book him. Seth was by far the stand out of the group and if it lasted a few more years, it would be a 10. Some stories aren't meant to be 5+ year things, but the shield should have been. With how great each of the 3 men became, a ton of people will retroactively give this group a 10. But again, 2020s Mox, Seth, and Roman were not 2014 Mox, Seth, and Roman. They all had shortcomings at that point, Roman especially. And good booking and decent storylines just isn't enough to elevate The Shield to anything higher than a 7 for me. The fanfiction was better than the actual wwe writing too."

[10.0] "Easily the best Trio in WWE's history. Their feuds with The Wyatt Family and Evolution simply prove this. The trio was so good that it is still being talked about in 2025, 11 years after they first broke up. Even their brief reunion stints were entertaining (maybe not as entertaining as their initial run but you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice). 3 massive breakout stars were created in 1 team and that is unparalleled"

[10.0] "The greatest WWE stable. When they debuted they brought a fast-paced, hard-hitting, flashy style in 6-man Tag Team matches that was sorely needed at the time. The Shield created three main eventers for the next decade and beyond. I don't know if we'll ever see something like this again, especially the part of having three new guys with such insane chemistry."

All three of these men became world title levels due to the shield (not saying that they all didn't have the potential before, but we see how often WWE missed on guys with similar levels of potential). Had a ton of great matches and feuds during their time together and had good chemistry together."

[10.0] "Oh The Shield, a beautiful memory of everything that is fine in this world. Everything was fine, his while, his stories, his whole. They took 3 boys (not very boys, they were not so young) from the FCW and they put them together, the best decision in WWE's story. I can mention many beautiful battles with people like CM Punk, Evolution, The Rhodes, The Bar and many more. You should certainly know them, and if not, you have to meet them."

"10' the greatest stable in the history of WWE. All of them have a special characteristic, Seth , Roman and Ambrose , their matches are fantastics, the mic skills of another level . They are the Marvel of WWE. They were the first stable I have ever seen when I was , a young . I love them, Specialty Roman. Good luck in their careers."

[10.0] "The Shield were one of my favourite stables in the history of wrestling. They had it all: a good walk-on song with a unique entrance by entering through the crowd; their aura that made fans stand out their seats when the music was on; the attire with the vests made them look rather ruthless and badass; each had their own unique dynamic feature in the group: Seth Rollins was the high-flyer who wasn't afraid to get airborne; Dean Ambrose was the brawler technician; and Roman Reigns was the brute powerhouse, or "muscle.". They all managed to make a name for themselves inside and outside the group; obviously, later on in their career, around the 2019 part, they weren't represented as the threat they once were, but personally, that didn't taint their legacy as a stable."

[10.0] "When little 13 year old me got into wrestling, it was purely for the shield. I loved everything about them and I doubt I would've continued watching if it hadn't been for the shield"

[10.0] "One of the, if not, the most iconic stables of all time. The dominance they displayed in the ring for the short time they had was nothing short of awesome with their story still being used today, like in WMXL. An EASY 10/10."

[6.0] "The success of the three members individually has benefitted their reappraisal in the past few years. They were pretty good as a team but I never saw them as anything special until they went their separate ways. Of course, they wouldn't have had the chance if the Shield wasn't a success so I'm not trying to rewrite history, but I'm going on how I felt about them at the time. They're really only know for the matches with Cody and Dustin, The Wyatt Family, and Evolution. The Cody/Dustin match is incredible with a great story behind it and the match with the Wyatt Family was a wild brawl. The Evolution matches were ok but something didn't click there. They're nowhere near the greatest stable of all time for me because they barely made it two years. If you want to count the reunion runs that's fine but all 3 were already established by then. Equating their singles success to the stable is like saying The Rockers are the greatest tag team of all time since Shawn Michaels became a legend. While there's no Marty Jannetty to be found in the 3 members, Edge & Christian are also not the greatest team of all time because they never achieved the type of longevity needed as a team. The team got them noticed, their talent carried them to singles success. That's the difference."

[10.0] "[9.6] Absolutely deserving to be within the top 5 for best factions of all time. Their success is solely down to scale; there are only three members, but they had extremely defined characters and dynamics within the group. No matter how you feel about it, it speaks something to a groups dynamics and appeal when they become one of the only times where I can remember wrestlers having fanfiction written of them. On top of all this, every member is fantastic in their own right, and I think they're the only faction active where every member has been a world champion for at least one promotion, with Roman and Seth holding multiple WWE championships and Dean, now Jon Moxley, being the undisputed ace of AEW with his own handful of championships. They were genuinely a crystalized image of the future of american wrestling, and I'll be very surprised if it's ever replicated."

[10.0] "The greatest faction in the history of the WWE. Made all three future WWE world champions. Had as near a perfect run the first time round. Told and continued to tell compelling storylines ten years after Seth Rollins first took a chair to Reigns' back. 5 Stars."

[10.0] "These three people is really change the game by their in-ring abilities, storytelling etc they are the best three man stable in wrestling but more than anything their bond between each other is something special."

[10.0] "There are very few stables that have defined the modern era of professional wrestling, and even fewer where all members involved became real stars in the process. Enter, The Shield. This stable really dominated wrestling in the early 2010s and made their presence felt, they were like The Nexus, but with fewer members and much better since all three of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns became singles stars and all three eventually became World Champions at one point or another. It was cool to see them reunite back in 2017 and get back together for one last run in late 2018 to early 2019. Even though there may never be an official re-reunion of this stable, it was awesome to have witnessed this aura-filled group of three men who would dominate wrestling for a long time both as group members and singles competitors."

[10.0] "The Shield is probably the most important stable of modern pro-wrestling in North America, they completely shaped the way the game is played and how the next years would look, three different persons, from different background and styles, that together created some really nice stories and developed a strong bond. If you look at how wrestling went for the next 10 years, these guys were probably the most prominent figures, all of them have legendary careers. This stable was excellent when they were heels, and kept excellent when babyfaces. The Seth Rollins heel turn is probably one of the most shocking and impactful turns of all time, I can't remember many moments that broke so many people's heart. Whenever The Shield is mentioned or those three guys are together are a legendary moment, and that says it all."

[10.0] "This might be one of the best factions in modern WWE history. The stories told in this group were amazing and both runs with the group were amazing with some awesome matches. The three men in the group have ruled wrestling for the last decade and still run it all, Roman on Smackdown, Seth on Raw and Moxley in AEW."

[10.0] "Thanks to this Stable that Wrestling is hot, thanks to this stable that we have 3 Pillars of modern wrestling. Moxley/Dean, Seth and Roman, how can we forget when their music played, Seth's betrayal, the comeback, the feuds, everything was perfect, we will never have another shield."

[8.0] "Cool during their time, third best modern stable to bloodline and wyatt family; but every member of the group is very overrated in my eyes. As a group, they were near perfect in the begining, and i didnt mind the seth turn at all; it felt fresh, cool, and just done right. The Ambrose turn was a bad call due to timing but oh well. The problem is that other than the cash in, all of Seth's most famous moments are him injuring someone. Moxley doesnt feel like a wrestler as much as a drunk dude getting mad at a bar. Roman is cool with the tribal cheif stuff, but predate that he didnt do anything special. All deserve their hall of fame under the circumstance its either right as thye retire, or under the same year as roman out of respect. Just my 2 cents."

[10.0] "The Shield, Roman, Seth and Dean One of the best and most dominant Stables in WWE history. They won the Tag Team Championships and the United States Championship. They dominated their rivals and had good rivalries.Unfortunately Seth betrayed them in 2014, but they returned in 2017And their last fight as a team in 2019 was a victory, I hope one day they return one last time"

[10.0] "A collection of some of the finest wrestlers in the 21st century, they were made to be like a big deal and booked PERFECTLY."

[10.0] "Unquestionably the best wrestling stable of the last decade, at the very least. Not much else really to say, this is how you build a faction. You have them show up, and win. Not too complicated. Three great guys who would each go on to cement themselves as singles guys."

[10.0] "Possibly my favourite stable of all time. All 3 men moved on to be main eventers in their respective promotions. Each guy played his part so well. A shame we'll likely never see & match either with the three or between the three ever again."

[10.0] "The Shield was great from start to end, and every member became a main eventer because of it, when they could have floundered without the group. The only downside is that the blowoff to the Shield was a bit lacklustre, with Roman not being a huge part of the fallout, and the Triple Threat happened 2 years later at a B-Show instead of at Wrestlemania. Plus they had multiple classics, like their debut and their match with the Wyatt's."

[10.0] "The Shield is the best trio in wrestling history and the best tag team in wrestling history makes them the goats."

[10.0] "Arguably the greatest trio of all time. The Shield was a shot in the arm for a WWE that was lacking in depth at the time. Shield six-man tags were almost guaranteed to be banger matches every single time, even just from an in-ring perspective there's few stables that are on their level. They were also just plain cool, both as heels and during their brief face run. Their face-off before the first Wyatt Family match got "this is awesome" chants based on the hype alone, and at the time it felt 100% earned. When you add in the legacy of the stable, elevating three relative unknowns into main event talent, it's hard to think of a faction that has done more for its members. WWE tried to go to the Shield reunion well a few too many times after their initial break-up, but that problem has been solved by Moxley going solo."

[6.0] "They're alright. It's undeniable that this faction was what got 2 of its members over but the Shield didn't age well. Now, except for Moxley, Rollins and Reigns are boring stale acts that are shells of their former selves, and even Moxley's getting there. The stable was great at first, but as the guy below me stated they became so overused that it became an overexposed uninteresting act designed to get Roman over."

[10.0] "Fantastic Stable. Always a thrill to see them even when the booking wasn't good. The wwe selected the right components that later made history."

[10.0] "The Shield is tied with Bullet Club for the most important stable of the past decade or so of wrestling, and for my money, Shield was better even if it wasn't AS influential as BC. The group catapulted three guys from just being bodies in FCW/NXT into being era-defining main event guys in WWE, with Seth & Roman becoming staples of the current era of the company and its future, while Dean used his momentum to go back to being Jon Moxley and become one of AEW's core backbone of stars. As a unit, they were presented as an unstoppable force, going undefeated for the better part of a year. Their feud with Team Hell No lead to one of the most consistently great in-ring TV feuds of the 2010s, pumping out a ***1/2+ 6-man tag regularly. They were part of a number of great moments, feuds, and matches outside of that even, and after Seth's heel turn, reunions and references were just sparse enough that they weren't overdone (whereas Bullet Club is STILL going and definitely shouldn't be). There just isn't a better example of a stable making every single member of it a star."

[10.0] "Easily the best stable of the 2010's. Dominant heel faction, made-up of younger guys from NXT, that just took over the show. They felt like a big deal and had memorable matches. All of them went on to become world champs on their own."

[10.0] "There is only one stable in WWE history that helped make every single member a bona fide superstar. This is that stable."

[9.0] "One of the greatest and most dominant stables in wrestling history. It's a shame they ended the way they did but they couldn't stay together forever, it is WWE after all. I do believe they should've been together for longer during their first run, and never of gotten back together, but that's my personal opinion. Every single member of the shield had the look, skills, personality and charisma but they are all 200% better now then they were at the end of their 2012-2014 run. I think that the shield breaking up was also one of the best decisions made. Seth Rollins breaking up the group to become part of The Authority and win the WWE Championship was an amazing booking decision and I wouldn't have it any other way. Roman Reigns was forced down our throats, constantly being put in the title picture, but it's ok now as he has developed into the amazing character he is today - but he definitely didn't need to be shoved down our throats as I'm sure it was affecting him with his heavy work schedule and denial from the fans. Dean Ambrose was kind of left in the shadows until he won the MITB briefcase and cashed it in on Rollins to win the WWE Championship, who had just won it off Reigns. Now, Rollins is a heel playing a Messiah gimmick, Reigns is a heel playing a Tribal Chief gimmick with the Universal Championship and Ambrose (Now Jon Moxley) is in AEW doing some of the best work of his career."

[7.0] "As much as they were exciting and had a firepower, their members were not as good at the time as they are now. Roman was just starting his wrestling career. He was godawful and did the least work there. Dean Ambrose completely changed his style that gave him momentum. He was not the guy from CZW anymore. And Seth was great but his moves were limited and he didn't perform 100% of his true talent. Very overrated stable."

[10.0] "The Shield was one of the best things that happened in WWE. They all had their roles- Rollins the genius, the pace setter for the Shield, Ambrose the mouthpiece and Reigns the enforcer. They had an impressive and lengthy undefeated streak and defeated a lot of 'dream teams'. They all became world champions after disbanding but individually none of them had that insane appeal they had together."

[8.0] "I think the Shield is good, but I don't think they are one of the best factions of all time. Their beginnings have a cloud of confusion around it, as WWE didn't know how the group should be associated with CM Punk. Once they moved away from the Punk angle, Ambrose had the US Title that he never defended & Rollins & Reigns felt rather random in the tag division as champions. The Shield's best feuds came against the Wyatts, Evolution & the Rhodes brothers. Their reformations always felt wither forced or felt like they just didn't capture the same synergy that we saw from the team initially."

[10.0] "One of the best stables ever in terms of in-ring and character work. What makes it even better is all three went on to world title success so this was no Jannetty-Michaels situation."

[10.0] "One of the best stables ever and certainly one of the best stables of the 2010s. Incredibly chemistry and such a badass look. There was no weak link and their break up skyrocketed all of them to the top of the singles competition."

[10.0] "Probably the best 2010 onwards stable in WWE, and one of the best in Pro Wrestling. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are both charismatic, Roman Reigns, the big dog, the strong man of the group. They delivered a lot of great matches and feuds, this is the reason why I consider The Shield so epic that even its return in 2018 was more than okay. Great stable."

[10.0] "I've always liked The Shield. Didn't matter when they debuted, up to now, I've always liked them. They just reformed on RAW this past week, but we all know this is supposed to start the slow heel turn for Ambrose. I'm glad they decided to do this first then just have Dean turn heel right away. because I wanna see more Shield matches, especially today, since nowadays there are no good teams on RAW, (or at least teams that are used correctly) with the exception of B-Team and Revival."

[10.0] "Incredible chemistry as a trio, with countless incredible matches. Each member has their own style (Reigns the power, Seth the high-flyer and Dean the 'leader') which gives the group an interesting dynamic."
