[5.0] "These guys worked pretty well together! Billy Gunn was at home again in the tag division after a failed IC title push and Palumbo played off well enough. Also their gimmick pisses off the fake outrage people these days so that's fine too!"
[8.0] "Both men were good wrestlers, especially Billy Gunn bu when they first paired them I was so confused and then weeks of vignettes with them backstage had me doubled over laughing. They had great chemistry, I was always rooting for them simply because they were so funny. Why did they end on such a stupid marriage storyline? Should have kept the innuendoes going for much longer as they were so popular at the time. Boo."
[8.0] "I give these two guys all of the credit in the world .They were put together after WWF had pretty much given up on tag team wrestling in 2001 following the hardyz/dudleyz/e&c thing, yet still managed to be one of the most memorable tag teams of the ruthless aggression era. Say what you want about their gimmick, I loved it personally myself, but they went all in on it (looked alike, dressed alike, etc) , had good chemistry with each other, and made it work to a large degree. The pose down against stacy & torrie, the wedding to each other on live television with eric being unveiled as the preacher, and them working against Hogan for the tag titles was some of the most memorable stuff of that time frame on smack down. Another thing that added credibility to the act for me was that these are not two small guys. Billy Gunn is 6'6" or 6'7", Palumbo has gotta be the same thing. So when you got two pure athletes who are that size, look like they do physically, and can go in the ring, confessing their affection for each other you aren't gonna question it, and instead are just instantly take them seriously (at least I did). Their theme music was great as well, so damn catchy."
[0.0] "A walking, talking, living, breathing homophobic joke of a tag team, gets a 0 just for that alone. Even if you looked passed their shtick being homophobic, it's not funny in the slightest. Sure, Billy Gunn has his pros and Chuck Palumbo could have been something, but none of that matters when you're paired just to make a mockery out of homosexuality, and not only that, they were a bad pair for a tag team, have as much chemistry as Damage CTRL's early lineup. I wonder why WWE never seems to acknowledge this tag team, hmmm..."
[7.0] "If your tag partner is Billy Gunn, you'll do just fine Vol. 4. After being paired with "this guy, ah no - that guy, ok never mind: THIS guy" for a bit, Billy Gunn finally found himself on a more permanent basis with the fledging Chuck Palumbo. They had the approximate same size, approximate same speed and the veteran/youngster combo definitely worked well here. The gimmick became heavier handed by the week and went from genuinely funny and moderately realistic to "WWE style full bore, f#ck the ramifications". The modern twist could be done, with an eye on the earlier, often subtle stylings of the gimmick - and it could work for years on top of years. But no, this was The WWE - early 00's WWE! when all potential had to be squandered ASAP. This was Chuck Palumbo's best stuff. I liked what they did, but the "icing" on the cake was somewhat fecal in it's matter. Fantasy booking, Vol. 7, 314. hmm, that sounds like a fair score. 7.314 rounded down."
[6.0] "I dont care that billy gunn and chuck palumbo were heterosexuals in real life, these fuckers should have gotten married. Killed the gimmick dead and neither guy was ever as over as they were at this point ever again. They had good chemistry as a team in promos and in the ring and despite how dated and crude the gimmick is today they absolutly got it over."
[2.0] "WWE could certainly not get away with this team by today's standards, but even when they were around in the early 2000s this act felt out-of-touch with the times. Even if we remove the potential homophobia, the premise never even made sense. What exactly were they trying to achieve by pretending to be gay? This is yet another example of WWE method of coming up with half-baked stories & never being able to fully conceptualize anything coherent."
[7.0] "Outside of the pretty goofy and poor taste gimmick (which to be fair, was carried as best as it could with the both of them and actually was quite funny in some aspects just for how awkward the gimmick was) this tag team was pretty solid in the ring. Gunn could still go pretty well and was experienced enough to carry Palumbo, who wasn't as skilled in the ring but worked well as the brawler and big man. Not exactly one of the greats, but I don't think they deserve to be alongside teams like the New Rockers: these guys could actually put on a half decent match."
[8.0] "Don't know why these guys are rated so low. Billy and Chuck weren't around for too long but they were very memorable. Probably the only really memorable thing Palumbo did during his tenure. They also had good chemistry as a tag team."
[9.0] "Wow what a terrible rating, makes me wonder did you actually see their backs tag segments or there ring work together? They really jumped into the gimmicks and were funny as heel and good in the ring. What a team."
[8.0] "Ich fand die Beiden extrem gut zusammen. Sie beide sehr gut harmoniert und hatten auch ein Gimmick welches alle beide sehr stark gespielt haben. Mit Rico hatten sie zudem noch den richtigen Manager. Die Storyline Schwulenhochzeit war einfach nur grandios."
[10.0] "Why are these two rated so damn low? They were a great team, had excellent chemistry, and the gimmick did what it was meant to do, and that's piss people off. Billy & Chuck were great."
[10.0] "Ich verstehe die schlechte Bewertung nicht, beide sind nicht so schlechte Wrestler; das schwule Gimmick mag zwar eine Zumutung sein, aber schlussendlich wurde es eh als ein Missverständnis aufgeklärt; und das Spielen mit Doppeldeutigkeiten ist doch eine unterhaltsame Sache. Außerdem waren Billy und Chuck ein besseres Team als Hulk Hogan und Edge oder the Hurricane und Kane. Also verdiente Tag Team Champions, schade, dass sie nicht lange existierten."
[1.0] "Kann damit überhaupt nichts anfangen wieder einmal ein Team zusammen geschmissen da man nicht wusste was man mit den beiden anfangen soll. Einen Punkt gibts wegen den teils lustigen Segments."
[0.0] "War wirklich nicht mein Ding. Nix dass ich was gegen Schwule hätte, aber so einen Angle kann's auch nur in der WWE geben. Nach dem Motto "Schwul ist cool" hat man hier wieder versucht Quoten durch eine bestimmte Fraktion zu fangen. Und dass Chuck heute den harten Biker spielt ist diesbezüglich ohnehin eine Ironie!"
[2.0] "Billy war ja als Teil der DX besser aber das hier war halt nicht viel. Nett war es und brachte wohl auch ein paar Comedy Segmente. Von den Matches her war es aber eher im Minus Bereich."
[4.0] "Rico als Manager war schon immer der Hit! Für Chuck Palumbo konnte ich mich allerdings noch nie so richtig begeistern und Billy Gunn hatte seine besten Zeiten mit den Smoking Gunns und den New Age Outlaws schon längst hinter sich."
[2.0] "Rico wusste als Einziger bei dieser Sache etwas zu unterhalten (und bald auf die Nerven zu gehen), der Rest war klischeehaft, lächerlich und überflüssig."
[8.0] "Ein gar nicht mal so schlechtes Team ... Rico als Manager konnte ich irgendwie gar nicht leiden, aber trotzdem hat das Tag Team bei mir einen guten Eindruck hinterlassen!"
[2.0] "Nein, das gefiehl mir nicht .... Palumbo war einfach zu tough (FBI) und Gunn zu egal, als dass mich das überzeugen hätte können. Umso lächerlicher, dass Monty jetzt diesen VKM Angle durchzieht .... er hat ja schliesslich selber jeden Scheiss mitgemacht. Dieses Team durfte viel zu lange viel zu erfolgreich bleiben, das konnte nicht mal Rico retten."
[2.0] "Lächerliches Tag Team, dass irgendwie nie zusammen gepasst hat. "Dank" Rico gibt es keine 6, denn der war noch der einzige der zumindest einwenig unterhalten konnte."
[4.0] "Praktisch die einzige Rolle, in der mir Billy Gunn einigermaßen gefallen hat. Die Matches gegen Hulk Hogan waren sehr unterhaltsam, doch der Rest eher nicht. Der "Gay Wedding"-Angle und alles drum herum war fürchterlich. Das Beste an dem Team war Rico als Manager."
