[6.0] "The first two rounds were light on quality wrestling, the triple threat being a lone exception, making it seem like the tournament was heading towards disaster. Thankfully, the two clear MVPs of the tournament, Nigel McGuinness battling through injury and Chris Hero dismantling his opponents provided solid matches throughout. The first semi-final was exciting while short and awkwardly booked, while the second was a wrestling masterpiece. The finals managed to up the ante and provide a worthy conclusion to the tournament. While the tournament is flawed and its influence is limited to the bubble of the weekend, BOLA 2008 had just enough great matches to end with dignity and not be a shadow on the legacy of PWG's annual tournament."
