His catchphrase of "Hello Ladies" was a huge hit, again go back and watch the first time he was on t.v.. Those two words ignited the crowd as much as any opening to any other music they had lol. The latter part of his run was more focused away from the character and on his in ring work which was ok because he was a good in ring worker. I remember him having solid feuds with Rikishi, him and Lance feuded with the Dudleyz, Jerry Lawler, etc, but I guess to me the first year and a half of the Val Venis character was his most prominent ( Spring 1998- Early 2000). |
