| 1 | 09.09.2016 | thebigmontbowski | 8.0 | Rotten Ron Starr and The Honky Tonk Man just formed a very interesting tag team on Stampede. Ron was a bruiser. A rough character. He had a short fuse too. Stampede was neat in that they promoted shows everywhere, and I was in an Elks Hall in a small town that was packed to the rafters. Ron had a guy in the front row that put his hand on him during a fracas. He spun around and looked at the guy like he was going to literally beat him up on the spot. The character it seems never made it off the show as he became a masked wrestler. I was glad to see it because you never heard much from a very talented heel after he left Stampede. He and the HTM provided a lot of barn burner matches in the day. New talent would be very wise to go see how they told the story in their matches. It was crazy. |
