207.11.2025KaptainCirk7.0The man who made Crying Man Punk lose his shit over the most benign and trivial of circumstances. The former Jungle Boy is a solid worker and he's getting better at talking. I think he's hit his ceiling 10 years into his career but there's much worse places to be in wrestling.

1612.08.2025Rassle Fan7.0"If you have a problem with Jack Perry, you're the problem" -CM Punk. Jack Perry was a lot of fun with Luchasaurus. They were over as a team and had a nice run. Perry's first attempt at being a heel was pretty flat. I don't know who suggested and/or told him using Beethoven for his theme was a good idea. He had a nice run in New Japan and the back in AEW with the TNT title. The fanbase is invested in his return and it's for the best when he does return.

1807.08.2025Mini2.0His ring work is boring, his mic work is cringy, he seemingly puts zero effort into his physical conditioning, and he's a well-documented liability behind-the-scenes. At time of posting he hasn't appeared in AEW or NJPW for the better part of a year, and I reckon it's for the best if he never does again. In either promotion, he's a low point of pretty much any show he appears on, in terms of quality as well as fan interest.
1929.07.2025R3ves9.0Please bring Jack Perry back, he's really good and doesn't deserve this treatment of absence, this is the second time now.

2704.06.2025arminamin4.0Jack Perry sucks, Especially as a heel. His babyface run was alright. He's a lot smaller than most of the roster so he was easy to get behind. He didn't wrestle like a top babyface though and His promos sucked even back than. His heel persona is one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. He tries to act like a badass heel while nothing about his character or presence screams badass. The Scapegoat character had no direction to begin with and had 0 development throughout. Overall, Perry is an alright babyface, but one of the worst heels in th business ever.

3012.05.2025bherbert19808.0The son of a plumber (if you didnt watch What I Like About You just skip that) Jack Perry is a fearless talent who refuses to settle. He's rewriting his story on his own terms, and the fact that he's willing to stumble, get up, and try again is exactly why his ceiling is still sky high.

3731.03.2025Keithnelson182.0The one AEW superstar I can't stand, I get bored every single time he's on screen or just cringe at him trying to speak on the mic. He's also the reason why Punk left AEW and it turned out to be the bests decision ever. I literally just don't understand why he gets a push sometimes, oh wait, maybe it's because he's friends with the boring young bucks. I can't remember a memorable singles match he's had in AEW, most of his best matches have been tag or multi men matches. I just hope he goes back to the tag division where he belongs.

4514.02.2025Sleezy C9.0This man is still part of the future of pro wrestling, his earlier matches in AEW were incredible like his 10-minute match with Jericho, or his bury match with Christian. His storytelling even to today is just getting better with time. He went from a happy young Jungle Boy, to being a confused lost man after the man and friend he trusted most betrayed him, to then trusting one man only to fail again and again for it to boil over into a heel turn. Even if the CM Punk stuff was legitimate, it still helped his story now evolving into the angered enforcer of the Elite. The thing is not only does he wrestle well, but right now he has a forever evolving storyline around his character that overtime will grow bigger and better and even relatable as time progresses. It's a rare thing to see, but one I'm all for continuing to watch.
4608.02.2025TheMizBurnerAccount3.0The guy was a sympathy hire from TK and if he had pushed some of his more talented performers to the same degree that he did Jack Perry, ie: Buddy Matthews, Ricky Starks or Mark Briscoe, then maybe they wouldn't be struggling to fill out arenas like they are now. Wrestles like every other Indy schmuck with a shit physique and makes Ricochet look like Ric Flair on the mic. Serviceable albeit unremarkable as a lower midcard babyface, but a complete channel changing joke as a heel, he'll never get any better than what he is now.
4703.02.2025LongLiveInokism6.0I think up to this point in Jack Perry's career he has take every opportunity and done nothing but succeed. He is good to great in the ring (more good then great). He cuts acceptable promos and great backstage segments. He hasn't really been given a feud built around him, but we know he can go. I think we will really get to see what he can do once he looses the TNT Title. *EDIT* Leaving my original review because most of it still holds true, however, he did not capitalize on the opportunity with the TNT title, the scapegoat character/act needs and adjustment or it's needs to go away completely it stale and sucks a the moment. Don't even get me started on the dome match, it exposes all of his flaws and failures. I hope with some time away and a new/updated act, he can get back on track to what he was supposed to be.

5025.01.2025kirbystarwarrior9.0Perry has had one of the most fascinating journeys throughout his pro wrestling career that intertwined into the kayfabe storyline perfectly. His character work as of 2024, what used to be his biggest weakness, has improved drastically, whether it's poetic promos, strong in-ring character moments, or simply some solid lines to other wrestlers during backstage segments. Special mention goes to "They used to dance for me to" towards Danny Garcia, a brief but chilling way for him to say how Garcia can end up like him. His in ring work has a good balance of technical, aerial, and direct striking which regularly helps keep his matches fresh. He's been doing a fantastic job with his overall gimmick of lashing out at a world that rejected him.

6102.01.2025IKEisOnline5.0Nothing about Jack Perry's current act inspires confidence. From his tepid promos to his confusing character motivations, Perry feels like a half baked idea that could have been elevated by a stronger performer. I don't think he's an entirely lost cause, but his act certainly needs some retooling if it's going to have any legs.

6902.12.2024danzitorock5.0Jack is not a bad wrestler in the ring, he's not my cup of tea, but I recognize that he has some talent, his moveset is pretty cool and I don't question his potential to produce a good match, but unfortunately he suffers from a lot of poor decisions and wrong attitude. Jack is an indie guy by essence, and I think that when you bring this energy to live television, you really harm the product, it's a waste. Apart from the workrate capacity, which is surely above average, I've never liked him very much, the character work is always weak and the guy really struggles with charisma.

7310.11.2024Willie 192007.0Jack Perry is one of the most struggling wrestlers to rate because he's improved in the ring, but heel work is only good half of the time and it really confuses me. Him as Jungle Boy was really fun and I loved his matches with Kenny Omega and Luchasaurus, but he struggled to get himself over as a face. His original heel character with his feud against Hook was terrible and honestly, Brawl In helped him achieve a character that works the majority of the time. His Scapegoat character was is a good character except I think he just doesn't execute it that well. His in-ring is good, his match with Danielson was amazing and I'm glad I got to see it live, however he just doesn't really move me.

7716.10.2024Vortex4343.0I usually try not to be negative on here thus I only ever rate matches that I liked but every now and then I just can't help but be compelled to be negative. Jack Perry is a very disappointing pro wrestler he hasn't evolved that much in the 5 years he's been on tv, that on it's own isn't necessarily that bad considering the weight of the expectations that were placed on his and the other 3 guys shoulders it's only natural that some may buckle and collapse under such lofty expectations but that said he has proven to be more of a detriment to AEW than the pillar he was made out to be. On the biggest show the company had done to date he opened Pandora's box and brought negative press upon the company culminating in the company's biggest draw being fired, honestly speaking though even if Jack hadn't done what he did Phil would probably have gotten fired over something else either way. After his brief new Japan stint and his match against Shota Umino I thought that was a change in trajectory for him, that things were starting to click ofcourse I didn't expect him to just be Danielson/Omega level worker over night but I atleast expect him to start getting better and getting to an upper midcard talent but seemingly my expectations were a bit too high yet again he hasn't changed much and him taking digs at Pepsi man after a full year after their altercation is proof of that. Jack in his current form will always be seen as the guy that got choked by cm punk and nothing more. Right now I rate him as third on the original four pillars way below Darby and Max but slightly above Sammy who let's admit isn't really that big a bar to clear. In closing I guess I'll say that we'll just have to wait and what's next for the guy whether he will be able to evolve and grow despite cm punk or he'll just continue being over shadowed by what has happened in the past, I can't help but think that if guys like Takeshita were afforded the opportunities he's been given they would be far ahead than he is now. Edit: It's been quite a while since I rated him a 4 and he hasn't gotten any better rather he's seemingly regressed in ring, "character" wise he is fine this is probably the most intriguing he has been since his initial heel turn over a year ago. I've tried giving this guy a chance I wanted to believe that after his mini Excursion he would miraculously have every thing click for him but nothing has changed at all he can't have a half decent match against Shibata freaking of all people and to make matters worse AEW are for some reason pushing him to the world title picture despite not having anything that make smaller wrestlers like Darby and Orange compelling to watch he is the antithesis to them he somehow makes me conscious about how small he is which is weird because I like small underdog wrestlers.

8009.10.2024Wangler6.0Was fine as the workhorse of Jurassic Express and as the rather bland but durable underdog in singles but awfully miscast in what's supposed to be a powerful corporate faction. Think AEW may be trying to portray him as a sort of lobotomised Raven minus 50lbs. Above average in the ring and quite like his old van but with his boyband looks, small frame and being about as intimidating as a lollipop man, simply isn't credible as a badman.
8104.10.2024TripleCrown4.0The guy is just too small to be taken seriously. The height thing is whatever, guys like Danielson, Guerrero, Benoit, Balor, etc., aren't the tallest and still had great careers. But he just lacks any kind of muscle, he just seems like a random kid who happened to walk into a wrestling arena and have a match. I do think the whole scapegoat gimmick is good, and a good direction for him. But what happens after that gets stale? As Jungle Boy I thought he was alright, and if he had stayed in that comedy-esque role it would've suited him better. It's just impossible to take him seriously as an actual wrestler when he doesn't look the slightest bit tough and doesn't really pose any kind of threat. Wrestlers are supposed to be larger than life, or offer something that the average person cannot. Unfortunately, Jack Perry is just that, the average person.
8202.10.2024TomTakagi5.0I simply still do not see it. His match with Bryan was good, but with Bryan's greatness "good" isn't good enough. Maybe his style is more suited to being a babyface. Moreover, maybe his best fit is a babyface with a big tag partner. Did he peak in Jurassic Express?
8302.10.2024Saladbagel5.0He's okay. The scapegoat version of him has potential, but as it stands right now, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry is a forgettable wrestler who happens to be constantly given chances in AEW to stand out, whether it's having a flashy tag team gimmick with Luchasaurus or being a "pillar" of AEW despite being nothing exciting back then. He's unquestionably below MJF and Darby, but I don't think it's a stretch to rate him as Sammy's equal or superior. That said, Jack Perry needs to do a lot more to be considered "interesting, " and doing stuff like how he tarnished his TNT belt back then would be much appreciated in fleshing out his potential.
8430.09.2024RaysBru7.0Perry strikes the nerve of wrestling fans by blending reality and fantasy, which is what wrestling is all about. Being the Scapegoat is a step up from being Jungle Boy and he's a good worker too, still needs to work on promos but he's young and will improve.
8529.09.2024SadDoro3.0Even Bryan Danielson couldn't get something interesting out of him. Jack Perry is a profoundly uninteresting wrestler being made to work with wrestlers who have way way more obvious upside. He worked alright as a babyface tag team guy but he has not at all lived up to his nebulous "potential" as a heavily featured singles act. His matches are almost always a skip for me. He's definitely athletic and I can see he isn't just half assing it but he simply does not have the dynamism I expect from a wrestler of his standing.
8628.09.2024JUNAK1YAMA6.0
8726.09.2024jsborts7.0Jack's good in the ring and he's improved a lot on the mic, but his character work went from hokey to awful to pretty decent, which is a vast improvement. The best thing he has to offer is a genuine athleticism and good in ring timing, so at the very least the part he's most talented at is the most important thing: in ring work. He will have time to grow into his character, particularly as he comes back to what he probably most naturally is, which is a babyface. But he did a hell of a job getting over again with the scapegoat gimmick, and I give him a ton of credit for overcoming some impossible odds to do that. Looking forward to what's in his future.
8824.09.2024deanepuddle7.0
8923.09.2024maven lover4.0This most recent "Scapegoat" gimmick has rendered me completely unable to take him seriously. It doesn't at all matter "whose side you're on;" the simple fact of the matter is that "I got the shit beaten out of me 8 months ago in a shoot fight by my rival, whom is 20 years my senior, & that's why I'm such a tough, serious badass whom should never be taken lightly" is NOT a good wrestling gimmick. He did his best work partnering with Luchasaurus in Jurassic Express, & without Luchasaurus there, Jack Perry's forgettable ring work, clear physique issues & mad cringe promo game are on full display; & especially as he nears a full decade of experience, Jack Perry has no excuse to be this mediocre in-ring. Unfortunately, he seems to have deemed it necessary to make up for all this by expressing his toughness through ill-advised & dangerous hardcore spots, including a recent "gimmicked" chairshot to the skull, in a seeming statement that deeply unsafe & possibly career-ending spots are not just tacitly acceptable, but should be openly encouraged. Unfortunately, he will likely be left to continue his path without proper supervision, & I fear a future where Perry's wrecklessness will eventually backfire, leading to a career-defining/life-altering injury of some sort.

9311.09.2024CrayJeV8.0Jack Perry has turned one of the most embarrassing moments in professional wrestling history into one of the greatest career resurgences I've seen in a while. He has turned around his career in an insane way. From being apart of Jurassic Express with Luchasaurus in a great tag team but one that I felt was never able to be a truly world class one, solely because of the nature of the gimmick. And then after the Luchasaurus turn I genuinely do not remember a single thing he did until he joined the Bullet Club. Current Jack Perry is simply an incredible gimmick. The Dominik Mysterio of AEW, Jack Perry has true heel heat, something awfully uncommon in modern wrestling.
9409.09.2024arisenby8.0[8.3] Perry strikes me as a guy who's good and can pretty consistently deliver, but whose skill will always be overlooked by some people solely off the back of a backstage incident where he really didn't do anything wrong. That said, said incident has almost been a blessing in disguise, as the new Scapegoat gimmick it inspired has done wonders for him, off the back of a very so-so initial heel run that wasn't helped by the choice of Beethoven for entrance music. Outside of that, he was a good tag guy, has shown to be pretty good at working a crowd, and has a pretty good look considering he's not incredibly built. Not the perfect wrestler by any means, but he's good.

10005.09.2024IoIyo8.0Phil fans review bombing this guy is very funny to me. He's far from a perfect wrestler but he will always deliver in a big spot and has become a very enjoyable promo over the last year or so. I even liked his HoT stuff which is insane because I find the HoT generally awful
