[0.0] "I can understand almost everything in pro-wrestling, from the Gobbledy Gooker to absolutely unneeded gory blade jobs, but this guy is one of those things I really really don't understand. A heel referee who inserts himself into main events and title matches to cause mayhem? What's even the point of that? I am fine with fast counts, slow counts and assorted referee mistakes to build up tension in an angle every once in a while but Tirantes has been steadily at it for about three decades now and he's only slowing down because of his age. Leaving aside the meager payoff from his far too many storylines (since he's a referee he cannot get beaten up, at most he'll get a haircut), even from a strictly kayfabe point of view it doesn't make any sense that any tecnico would want to be in a match with Tirantes as a referee unless he's a complete moron."
