[5.0] "I feel Animal was always the less dynamic of the two Road Warriors. For a wrestler in his time, he was probably a tick above average. Being in a tag team was probably the best use of his talents. The few times he was left on his own support that assessment."

[8.0] "Great wrestler. He was best with Hawk as a tag team guy as his solo runs or his teams with Droz and Heidenreich just did not reach the same levels as the original Road Warriors. He was good inside the ring and he had a ton of charisma. Best with Ellering as the mouthpiece but could do well on the mic himself."

A legit powerhouse in every sense of the word. Very intense both inside the squared circle and on the microphone. He always conveyed a lot of strong emotion whenever he delivered his promos. Every move he did inside the ring was heavily impactful as well, especially that patented power slam of his that put away many of the opponent over the years."

[8.0] "Was on fire early in his career, but it didn't take long when he seemed to be a bloated shell of his former self .... that being said, he wins points for unforeseen longevity. While his pairing with Hawk was legendary, his career outside of that-not so much, but again - points for being competent in the ring and going along to get along for so long! His WWF work was mostly poor, but he faired there better than Hawk. He seemed kinda lost when in WCW without Hawk, but was still serviceable. His team with Heidenreich was AWFUL. Notable for having probably the best powerslam and likely the best flying shoulder tackle. Rest in peace big man."

Ma Stump Puller wrote on 25.03.2020:
[6.0] "Only good when with LOD. By himself, his selling was laughable, getting up instantly from piledrivers, his wrestling was very restricted to power moves and headlocks, and he really couldn't work in any real capacity. All of this is disguised well while with the much more capable Hawk so take it for what you will."
JEK 1991 wrote on 31.01.2019:

He has tired to form various versions of Legion Of Doom but they did not go anywhere. I did not like his Road Warrior gimmick in WWE in 2006. Decent moves but his singles career is not that great."

[9.0] "Half of my favorite tag team of all time. Though both men were powerhouses, Animal provided the ground-based assault to serve as counterpoint to Hawk's propensity for taking to the air. Known for a number of impressive power moves, including a press slam he could put on just about anyone, and one of my favorite renditions of one of my favorite moves, the spinning powerslam. He was also a good promo - while both had an intense style on the mic, Animal came off as being the more level-headed, while Hawk was the wilder one (I assume that's why Animal usually started their promos). When he and Hawk tagged up, their styles perfectly complimented one another. After Hawk's unfortunate passing, Animal did his best to keep the Road Warriors name alive, by way of his participation in the Road Warriors DVD, as well as a somewhat ill-advised "new LOD" tag run with Heidenreich in 2005. Now retired, but still makes appearances at signings and conventions, and made a one-match special appearance on WWE Smackdown in 2012."
Squared Circle wrote on 14.12.2015:
[10.0] "His longeivity and the ability to survive without Hawk, add a point. The powerhouse on a team that didn't need a powerhouse. Decent on the mic, but didn't have to be either. Hawk was dynamic there as well. There will never be anything like them again and the "Big Man" was a big part of it."

[6.0] "A man that tried his best to keep the "Road Warrior" name relevant in 2005 and while he had a decent run with the tag titles with Heidenreich in 2005, creative had nothing for him in 2006 and by then, his fizzle fizzed out and he hasn't been in the wrestling business for almost 10 years (since 2006. )"
