Prince Nana

[8.0] "Prince Nana has got to be the best comedic manger wrestling has seen in the past decade. He always manages to stand out, whilst also not overshadowing any of the wrestlers, which is incredibly impressive. He's great with the fans, his dance, his shouts, his mannerisms, etc have always made me laugh. An expert on getting acts over. Perfect level of goofiness and humour like some others have said. Very entertained whenever he's on screen."

[8.0] "I don't know much when Nana was a wrestler, but as manager, he's one of the best in AEW. He's goofy and fun to see. That dance he does always puts a smile on my face."

[9.0] "I don't know much about Nana as a wrestler, but I love him as a manager. He's just so goofy and fun. The dance is infectious (though I do prefer the "Big Pressure" dance over the "Hit Different" dance, if I'm honest). As somebody else said here, his character doesn't overpower Swerve's character, but rather acts as a sort of foil to Swerve's dangerous, serious persona. This makes a really good dynamic enjoyed by many of Swerve's fans, if not most of them, including myself."

"Great character who doesn't overpower the wrestler, he entertains well and gives serious the part when required as well. In 2025 you require this kind of manager only. His dance has got real over and helped Swerve and AEW.."

[10.0] "My god, my god! He's a huge manager, I'm going to talk about it now, and he's currently the best manager in wrestling, any promotion combined. I've rarely seen such a perfect match with a wrestler as Nana is with Swerve. The two pull each other up, and it's perfect. Perfectly in his role, always in the right place, he knows how to step back when necessary for Swerve, he makes Swerve's chants House Over, and his dancing adds to Swerve's aura. Beyond that, he showed with Ricochet that he could also be serious and bring emotions to life."

[7.0] "I wouldn't say he'll go down as one of the all time great managers in wrestling history. But he brings a level of fun to the show & adds something to the guys he's managing."

[10.0] "Only rating his manager role, he's been the best manager in the world these past few years with Swerve. He adds so much to the presentation and stories of Swerve, he also was great with the embassy. As a face or as a heel, he knows to add just what it takes not to overshadow the wrestler."

[6.0] "He could be up there with one of the best managers out there currently but I personally can't stand his dancing because I think it takes away the seriousness of Swerve who is a massive star. A locked-in Nana could be magical with current Swerve but at this point his attitude just doesn't match that of his current wrestler."

[9.0] "A fantastic manager in an era that desperately needs more of them. I've been a fan of Nana's since the early days of the Embassy in ROH, where he helped get Jimmy Rave over as a top level heel. I always felt like his skills would translate well to a bigger stage, it just never occurred to me that his biggest role by far would be as a babyface manager to a world champion. As great as Swerve Strickland is (and he is tremendous), it really seems like Nana was that missing piece that finally took Swerve's act to the next level. The dance is fun of course, but he's so much more than that. As mentioned below, his ability to get himself AND his clients over is a truly valuable skill, and one that other managers could really learn from. I'm so happy to see Nana finally getting the recognition he has always deserved."

[10.0] "For over 20 years Prince Nana has been one of the best managers to come out of the indie scene, possibly THE best, and his modern resurgence in AEW is definitive proof of that. His presence is always felt but he never gets more over than his clients (and that's with him actually still getting over), and he can cut a promo while giving his client's charisma room to breathe. He was never some excellent wrestler but when he had to be in a match or take a bump he played his role perfectly. He was there during some of the Golden Era of ROH's greatest moments, and now he's there during some of AEW's best modern moments. The business is better for having guys like Nana."

[8.0] "One of my favourite characters from ROH mid-2000s, who almost 20 years later has ditched the indies for a high-profile manager role in AEW where he is still a delightfully entertaining character. He is never going to be "the guy", but as a heel manager he is pretty much perfect, as he can talk, put the focus on his protege and make any match more entertaining by his outside antics."

[10.0] "Prince Nana and Swerve are a genius pairing. Prince Nana is a heel you can easily boo, he's always scheming to help his guys but not stealing the spotlight. Prince Nana is awesome at doing the small things (reacting to the match, coaching his wrestlers, taunts). I think he's the heart of the Mogul Embassy."

[7.0] "Good manager for many years in ROH. Managed several top talents at times in ROH but also had times where he and his clients faded into the background. Bringing him back to ROH after Khan purchased it was a smart move for nostalgia, but he and his clients have not been allowed to do much with it yet."

[8.0] "Always an entertaining manager. Plus it's great to see someone who is actually African-American in a position of authority. A refreshing change of pace. I haven't seen much of his wrestling work, but his ringside presence speaks for itself."
