[9.0] "For 21 years old, Nick Wayne is phenomenal! His recent TV time with AEW has really been beneficial for him. His in-ring talent is top notch. His mic skills are surprisingly sharp for someone as young as he is. I really respect Jericho for helping put him over and give him legitimacy. He's only going to get better too! Future world champion, no doubt."
[7.0] "He's the perfect mix of swaggy and dorky. A face that has presence, but also makes you want to see him get his ass beat. My main complaint is he can overdo it in the ring some times, if he tones it down a little, he's a future superstar no doubt."
[7.0] "Nick has everything you need to be a top star but he just needs to put it all together. He's shown he can go in the ring and can cut a decent promo when given the chance. He just needs to find that gimmick or hook for his character and then it's off to the races. I also really need him to get a better theme because it's so tepid. I'm never excited to see him come to the ring, and the crowd don't either because it's ass."
[5.0] "Not great. Even with his very young age, I think his 8 years of experience makes up for this rating. He's taking all the wrong influences and he performs rather subparly. Not a big fan at all. Funny as hell theme song though."
[7.0] "There's a lot of wrestlers I've rated recently whose ratable singles careers can be measured in fractions of an hour or two, but Nick Wayne has a hundred ratable singles matches since he turned, oh, 17. Wow. In fact, his earliest TV match was when he was 14? That kinda sucks, what a ton of pressure. Nick could have an absolutely glowing career, we are just too early into it to know for sure. As of now, with his pretty steady singles average of 6.7/10, I would like to see him get the National title. Give him a program on Collision, maybe a few months of singles matches and see what happens. As long as Andrade's not eating the pin for it, I'd buy him winning the National before Revolution."
[6.0] "Definitely a bit overrated looking back at it, but I don't think you can deny that he definitely knows what he's doing and he's much more of a competent wrestler and then some of y'all give him credit. He's still incredibly solid for now and he does get to deliver some shining performances as of late. I hope for him that he doesn't get lost in the shuffle in AEW and at I do hope for him that he continues to evolve and become much better than he is now, because as we've seen before from him, I'm sure he can get there."
[9.0] "This is just to say that Nick Wayne is a damn good wrestler and if he can stay healthy, steer clear of major injuries, and carve out a space for himself on the roster without hiding behind a mentor, he'll probably be one of the biggest stars in the industry before he's thirty."
[8.0] "I wasn't sure about Nick as an 18 year old acquisition - it felt like a charity case. I am happy to have been proven wrong. Moreso that, and I hate to say it, Billie Starks, Nick has improved greatly between signing and today. He's got a great look, good mic skills, and stunning ring stills. I think if he can get a little more camera time, and, well, put on maybe 20 lbs of muscle, he'll be a main eventer the likes of Kyle Fletcher."
[8.0] "He's risen through the ranks at an astronomical level that is seemingly unmatched by his peers. He constantly puts out barnburners and his heel work has definitely gotten a great reaction from crowds."
[7.0] "He's very young and is already VERY good for his age, imo. I've seen a lot of good performances from him and he was a great addition to the patriarchy. I do think he's a bit green when it comes to promos but like I said, he's still very young and it's only going to get better."
[6.0] "I will give him a six knowing that he has the talent for much more. AEW just doesn't want to push him right now and I kinda understand why, the guy has no promo or charisma at all. Just had a pure and complete ring skill during his Defy moments and development a good gimmick while he was at Christian Cage' stable. Good that they find out a position for him at ROH."
"Until then, it was just a childhood game, so when you're an adult. Build yourself up, little kid. Do you want to be like a bunch of freaking morbidities like lee johnson and blake christian in the future?"
[7.0] "In my opinion Nick Wayne will be one of the most interesting athlethes that we will see in the future because he is already doing a decent job at just 20 years old. I'm especially appreciating the storyline between him and Christian Cage"
[0.0] "Do you really think Nick Wayne was signed to AEW because he's interesting? No, he's only signed because he's doing what Will Ospreay does. But give Ospreay credit, he at least has the look of a wrestler, Nick looks like he's never seen a gym in his life. Tell me, what does Nick Wayne bring to the table? Is it his promo work? Well that can't be because his promo work is shoddy at best. Is it his look? Fuck no, he's got the face of an Eboy and the body of a Stickman. Is it his ability to tell a story in the ring? Pfft. he's signed to AEW, they know as much about psychology as Dave Meltzer does about... anything in wrestling. Is it his moves? No because he's doing the same indie, every move looks like a finisher, no psychology bullshit everyone else in AEW does. Yeah, sorry, Nick Wayne sucks. I apologise for my past review on CAGEMATCH where I was WAY too harsh on him but I expect more from AEW's next prodigy, something unique, something that separated him from others. When it comes to wrestling moves, Nick should just stick to writing about his favourite ones in the comment section of finishermania videos."
[3.0] "Normally for someone as young and inexperienced as Nick I wouldn't bother giving them a rating on this site, but right now he's the reigning ROH Television Champion. He's not a good wrestler, though he's certainly better than you'd expect at his age because he's had so many matches already. He's not good at promos, which is why I figured he was put in a stable with Christain Cage. He does an okay job of trying to get heat."
[7.0] "Insane potential, already done many wonderful matches. I will say the exact same thing I said about Kyle Fletcher before. Let him some time to reach his real form, his real self, what kind of pro wrestler he will be. He will get gold, he will get experience, and one day he will also be one of the greatest and most influencial young guy in the business. Right now he is 19, he is nailing it, let's see in the future."
[8.0] "The improvements are evident. Having Christian Cage as a mentor can be a crucial factor in his career. I'm confident he will have a good run in the BOTSJ tournament and will be able to show what he's truly capable of."
[7.0] "Crazy that he's been wrestling since he was 12 years old. He's starting to show some signs of growth as a performer and not just an athletic talent. His promos are slowly but surely getting better which makes sense since he's being mentored by Christian, one of the best promos. His ring psychology is starting to come along as well. He's further ahead than a few of his contemporaries who were given an easy road to stardom."
[6.0] "Still very young to the business, but he has something. He reminds me of early Dominik Mysterio before he found himself. Dom seemed good enough in the ring, but lacked any character & was only there because of his dad. Dom eventually found a character he could latch onto & that made all the world of difference. If Wayne can find a character of his own to latch onto, I think that would make people really buy into him. He has time to get there, but working for someone so inept as Tony Khan will make getting there a bit of a challenge. For now, I rate him a bit above average."
[10.0] "Nick is a young and talented wrestler who still has a lot to learn. In real life he is very humble which only provides a contrast and emphasizes what a good job he does as a heel. I really hate that he doesn't maintain a consistent kayfabe on social media and in the different companies he wrestles for. There is room for improvement there."
"We definitely need more twunks in rings. That why we watch wrestling right ? I hope he doesn't grow muscles and turn into something weird. Ahh and yeah should do hardcore matches ? yeah ! plsssss >3"
[8.0] "I originally wrote an incredibly negative review about this man, and I was wrong. I was clouded by one particular friend who hated him, and that affected my opinion. However, he is a prodigy! He is an excellent heel, he knows how to play a crowd better than some twice his age. His mum being apart of his presentation is unique and I quite enjoy his chemistry with Kip Sabian. His recent effort in his zero hour match at Dynasty helped solidify my opinion, and my opinion is Nick Wayne is one of the best heels AEW has in its midcard currently. I see him doing big things in the future"
[8.0] "At his young age he has. a gigantic talent and at only 16 years old he already had a professional contract with aew but he still has a lot to do, it is a good idea for him to be in a stable so that he has a presence on television but without giving him all the prominence yet."
[5.0] "Nick's time to shine is still years away due to his young age. He's gaining valuable experience working alongside Christian, and when he's ready to be pushed as a singles competitor, it'll be up to him to make the most of the opportunity."
[6.0] "Really solid wrestler who has all the potential to be a great star at the young age of 19 years old. He's already the youngest champion in AEW history and has been great so far."
[6.0] "He got talent for sure, but the overexposure throughout the years in GCW and AEW really slowed his progression. Being the prodigy really is such a common symptom of a career being dragged down by meaningless hype lol, if he consistently be in the East West Express (DDT run? ) and hone his skills over these few years (im not gonna say some judgemental bs about get some muscles but it sure is a good idea though), he would have grown a lot more."
[6.0] "With the right opponent, he can put on a damn near 5-star classic. On his own however, he is far from extraordinary. One of many to play to the style that American indy wrestling appreciates, but is far from a master of it."
[6.0] "Very young and promising talent. Can have good matches with the right style and opponent. His time in AEW is exposing his flaws that the indies covered up. He has shown that he has the potential to be a star but needs a little more time to develop into a star."
[7.0] "Right now, I'd say 7 is a fair rating for young Master Nicholas. As time goes on, he's only going to get better. This kid has his best years ahead for sure. Granted, he's still a kid & barely out of childhood. Nevertheless, he may have the brightest future in AEW & all of pro wrestling."
[7.0] "Nick wayne is good, however he doesn't quite have "it", however, having said that, he's also 18, which is the same age as me, which is mad. I loved his match with Swerve in DEFY, other than that he's been grand. He has a great future ahead of him however unfortunately only a 7 for now"
[6.0] "Nick Wayne debuted only a couple months ago and he's already one of my favorites on the AEW roster currently. He's only 18 so I don't expect him to be amazing. But he kinda is to be honest. Like he can go in the ring. He's better than the so-called veterans in the business and has so much room for improvement while already being great. Overall he's a great talent and I can't wait to continue to see his progress."
[6.0] "There's a lot of pressure on Nick Wayne, described as a wrestling prodigy very early on and promised an AEW roster spot when he was still 16. As it stands, Wayne is a pretty good high flyer, but with limited abilities when it comes to selling, constructing matches, cutting promos and showing character work. He's 18, so he has a lot of time to develop. The raw talent is there, but he needs to put in the work."
[4.0] "Nick is too young and it's surprising AEW's trying to elevate him so early on in his career. My concern is that they're putting too much pressure on a kid who's still green to the business. He has a bright future, though."
[8.0] "Nick Wayne is VERY good for his age, obviously he's not on the level of guys like Ospreay who are way more experience but it feels wrong to put him on that level yet. I'm confident he will get here in time, maybe earlier than most. Overall he shows an incredible amount of promise and i very much look forward to seeing him grow as a wrestler and as a character"
[2.0] "That kid is too young We're not at an age where we can evaluate. I think it's too much I wonder if they are aware of the Japanese teenage debut wrestlers At least 20 years old can be evaluated. It's too early to evaluate a teenager wrestler"
[7.0] "Some really stupid comments here. The guy is very young and very talented, he's way more than a highflyer he can work a slow pace he already has done some 30+ minutes matches and they are quite good. If you're mad that a 17yo kid has some hype it's your choice but don't come here to bash his rating"
[6.0] "Still very young though he's a dark horse for the future shows some wonderful high flying skills and has no fear over his own body getting hurt though other then high flying his in ring lacks I would say give him 10 to 20 years and he'll be up there in a top promotion as a midcarder."
[2.0] "Overrated and overhyped. The most overrated wrestler I've seen since the hype for Glacier coming to WCW. This wrestler is third generation. He is ok, maybe a little below average in my opinion. He does all the same moves as other CZW guys did a few years ago and GCW guys do now. Nothing new or innovative. But because he's young people talk about him. So much hype just because he's young as if there's never been a wrestler that was under 18 years old before. If he was 23 or 24 years ago, he wouldn't stand out at all and people wouldn't make a big deal. He should be able to move around like he does at such a young age, now if he was 60 years old that would be impressive. I just don't understand. I have seen 5 of his matches in GCW and he's alright, but nothing special, just endless hype because of how young he is but in actuality he is just average in the ring and not very innovative, not great on promos and not much charisma."
[5.0] "he may be a great talent in future and i will change the rating probably but now i don't see anything special about him besides him being just 17 years old. he is an unpolished gem and i'm looking forward to see more of him when he gains more exprerience and an actual character. but for now i think 5 is a proper rating."
[8.0] "I could go on the whole ? hes only 17? stuff but truth is that he is really good. Having banger matches with Ospreay and Zayne, he shows that he can keep up with the best of them. Still has some stuff to work on, but he is one of the best indie wrestlers right now, age aside."
[3.0] "At this stage he is an overrated, overhyped rookie. Sure he is only 17 and can do some high flying, but besides that what else does he have? His look is generic (he's a kid to be fair to him), he has no personality or charisma, and from what I've seen, he has no grasp on selling or psychology. The definition of a "get your shit in" type wrestler like Will Ospreay used to be before he improved slightly. The fact this guy has already been signed to an AEW contract while Khan passed up on some of the best women's wrestlers in the world is an embarrassment and he should frankly be ashamed."
[5.0] "People really need to calm down. Nick Wayne is an agile kid with some good high flying moves in his arsenal. Hasn't really had an amazing match yet(he is a child tbf) but the way people talk about him you'd think they were watching Bryan Danielson. Let kids develop instead of saying every wrestler you see is actually the best in the world"
[8.0] "This guy has no right to be as good as he is at such a young age. The sky is the limit for Nick Wayne and he has really been proving himself in GCW in recent months."
[7.0] "Nick Wayne's talent is undeniable, and his charisma and ability to connect with the crowd are very advanced for a 16-year-old. He obviously has a ton of room for improvement, both physically and in terms of psychology, but the excitement around him is understandable."
[7.0] "Young and still developing, but already a very capable high flyer with a strong base of technique. Not surprising since he grew up around the business and trained with his father since he was young. He also has that connection with the audience that you can't teach. As he fills out and continues to improve, he could be really special."
