I will say malakai black could be a big reasoning for her demise. Super cringe character, cant cut a promo, cant sell, theme.musoc sucks. All around probably the worst wrestler ive ever seen. Yes, even big swole might be better and that's really saying something because she's also a minus 10. I dont see what Tony Khan sees in her other than she's an edgy goth character. For the love of god stop booking her and actually push a decent women's wrestler"
[6.0] "I know alot of people are not a fan of her but I think she is decent but not great love her character love her personality good chemistry with skye blue. People need to be patient with her. I know she is green in the ring but she doesn't deserve to be hated."
[1.0] "She has had 1734 days to improve & if anything, she has grown even worse since her injury; this is certainly something other-worldly, in & of itself, considering that her early work found her in the position of making the House Of Black look like weak men that needed a Hot Topic girl at ringside to win. It was depressing to watch Khan take the belt off a super-hot Statlander & stick it on Hart at Full Gear '23, because Hart has a terrible physique, has terrible flow & terrible fundamentals constantly, is very meandering/awkward, & her " creepy glare" thing is so impossible to take seriously that my face hurts. Talents like Anna Jay, Tay Conti, or Penelope Ford may lack in certain areas, but good lord, they don't routinely pump out matches with notable, individual errors throughout that stick out like a sore thumb every single time they go out there. Her " spooky" video packages are well-produced-if-unoriginal exhibitions at best & " Maximum PG-13 cringe laughing-at-the-screen horror" at worst. Am I really reviewing a " spooky goth" character in 2026?"
[0.0] "How is she still in the spot she is? She's been green for years now and just does not seem to get better one bit. Her in ring work is basic, slow, and sloppy and is just a huge tv channel changer overall. I don't know why they put the TBS title on her as it should have been somebody else with that belt. She's still young but at the rate she's been wrestling, it does not seem like she's going to be getting better anytime soon. Her matches as TBS champion were flat out terrible. It felt like Jade Cargill's reign of terror all over again. She did nothing during blood and guts when everyone else put so much effort into it."
[2.0] "To quote Jesse Pinkman: "SHE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS". Like, out of all the AEW wrestlers, she seems to have really regressed in terms of ring skill, and it's so blatant, meanwhile all her generation are evolving and getting pushes and titles, and Skye Blue, her supposed lackey, is about to breakout. It's disappointing, considering all the potential she had not even a year ago, when she kinda turned babyface (Julia seems more fit to be a babyface, and while I understand her spooky gimmick is to turn away from the cheerleading character she had, it's showing its limits)"
[4.0] "Yeah, she is not even close to be good. The presentation is great, gothic and dark style that actually work with me, but she is still bad in ring. I mean, she don't even became yet okay or decent, even being one of the 10 wrestlers that had most fights in the entire promotion in 2025. Yeah, maybe she is just not good."
[3.0] "I'm not sure to which extent she has regressed or to which extemt she simply hasn't progressed at the pace I was expecting that allowed me to be more charitable about her work in previous years. At this point she has been in the business for closer to a decade than not, and it's simply not showing. I would believe you if you told me this was her first year. Not a good promo either with this whole shining thing she has blue are doing, someone backstage needs to let them know that it's not working (for their sake). Regardless of her clear limitations, I do think she could be a good manager. Obviously she hopefully finds a form in the future. In recent months, she's gone as far as to be an active detriment to the weekly product and I have found myself just skipping most matches involving the sisters of sin, because its simply not fun to watch."
[2.0] "Julia isn't particularly great as a wrestler and she's had quite a few major botches lately, like her moonsault in the women's tag team semifinals. I'm ranking her at a 2 because her character work brings her up just a tiny bit. In my opinion, Julia is also brought down significantly by the disbanding of the House of Black. I'd imagine she's an amazing cheerleader; she just isn't a brilliant pro wrestler."
[6.0] "I think Julia has improve quite a bit. Her overall presentation, and her work with the Triangle of Madness has carved a nice little niche for her. I don't see her winning the Women's Title anytime soon, but she's a solid act that helps to elevate someone like Thekla, and her and Sky Blue are believable in the Tag Division in a way neither of them are in singles."
[1.0] "Unironically one of the worst on AEW's roster. Her presentation is great I'll give her that. She has a good look, cool entrance, & dope ring attire. That all ends there, though. Her moveset is absolutely horrible outside of a moonsault that almost never lands, she has no actual in-ring psychology and constantly looks lost/unsure of what to do. She's only gotten worse since her injury and after 1.6k+ days of wrestling she has had no real improvement. I'm not going to say she's a lost cause, because she is only 23. But fucking hell does my day get worse seeing her on a card. I don't even think her spooky sister (Skye) is a good wrestler either, but I much prefer Skye because while she isn't a great wrestler she clearly knows what she's doing most the time & takes some great bumps. Julia is one of the most nothingburger wrestlers I've ever watched, and I REALLY need TK to stop the experiment because she's just not cutting it. She's such a sneak in ToM."
[0.0] "Julia is very slow and clunky in ring, she can improve as she's young, but she is far from being ready for national TV. She is carried by her aura, and character work. She would benefit a ton from an ROH run at this stage of her career. Edit a couple months later: Well, she may have gotten worse since I first rated her, she almost always looks lost in the ring, and actively ruins the tag matches she is in. One of the worst on AEWs roster that consistently gets TV time. It's gotten to the point she is now a detriment to others, I don't think it's intentional but I've realized recently she sandbags her opponents a LOT. It's over, stop trying to make it work."
[0.0] "Where to start with this one. Oh, I know. We can start with the fact that her negligence is directly responsible for the torn UCL that Penelope Ford suffered last week. This injury has now denied Penelope her chance to participate in the tag team tournament. And, even worse, it has cost Penelope her spot in the historic first-ever women's Blood and Guts match. Penelope Ford does her Orihara Moonsault all the time with no issues. She makes it look easy, in fact. But such a moonsault requires TWO PEOPLE to break the fall. This was the first time that Skye Blue and Julia Hart were the ones to take Penelope's moonsault. Skye did her best but Julia was out of position and made no effort to get in position. She stuck her arm out and then went down as if she did something. Plenty of other people have pointed out Julia's shortcomings in the ring. But when it causes another wrestler to suffer an injury, then it should at least be pointed out. I get it, it's a risky business and people do get hurt. But this is so brutally unfair. And an error so easily avoided but so costly to Penelope, who was having a great year and was on the verge of some historic events in the women's division."
[7.0] "I give Julia a 7 mainly because I am massive fan of her and always will be she has a great look and presence which is always great to have also she is naturally athletic which is a massive help as she is not the biggest wrestler. I feel she was really getting on a roll in mid to late 2023 to the point she won the TBS title in what is my favourite match she has ever had to the point that she had to drop the belt when she got injured although I think she would of dropped it to Willow regardless. she was very rusty for the first couple months she was back which is the problem of AEW losing dark so their is no way for people to pick up reps as she is someone with only 5 years in ring experience with big parts where she had no matches. But since the start of April all of the matches she has had have been very good to watch and it is clear to she is getting better again she is moving smoother and her move set has increased in size adding some nice spots into it like the old school which fits her gimmick and I do feel she will reach the point where she is a top midcard to lower tier main event talent in a couple years."
[8.0] "I'll never understand the hate. Of course she's a little clunky, she's 5 years into her career and has wrestled less than 100 matches. Her first AEW match was her 8th match in front of people. She improves in leaps with every match. Also, her presentation is phenomenal, she has so much aura, she delivers better promos than a lot of the roster, and she's a storyteller through and through. Her corruption storyline as well as the storyline with Skye and the black mist is one of my favorite AEW long-term stories, not to mention they're such a fun team to watch who clearly have a ton of chemistry. Defending her on the internet isn't enough, I need a gun."
[6.0] "She has a great look, but beyond that, it's been tough to see very much that can get her to the next level. Her matches are as basic as can be & even during her midcard title run, she never really found herself in an angle that captured hearts or minds. I hope she can find her way in ring & in terms of self confidence, because I think there is a lot of upside with her. But unfortunately, she's someone who needs a strong coach to pull that out of her & I'm not sure AEW has the foundation for her to grow to her biggest potential."
[8.0] "I've never been disappointed watching Julia Hart wrestle. She takes herself seriously, is multi dimensional and has natural athletic ability. She has demonstrated her versatility with being the all American cheerleader for the Varsity Blonds to playing a mysterious goth character with the House of Black. She invests in herself by wearing outstanding outfits which makes it easy to follow and distinguish her from other wrestlers whether the action is in the ring or on the outside. She's only 23 years old and has a very bright future if she continues on her current trajectory of improvement. A concern I have is she may be injury prone which could shelve her for a long time. She needs to learn how to protect herself better."
[4.0] "So...she doesn't seem to improve, if you compare her to the likes of Skye Blue, Roxanne Perez and many more. Her feud with Jamie didn't help nor elevated her, and she seems to be constantly stuck in the midcard. Hope she can catch the rest of her peers"
[2.0] "The cheerleader gimmick was bad but the pivot to being goth is pretty annoying on several levels. It seems like a cheat code in wrestling to just start dressing black and doing spooky stuff. It never really goes well, and here it's pretty bad because Julia Hart is very small and also not good at all at wrestling. So you have a lot of situations where wrestlers have to sell two levels of stupid unfortunately. I guess with Malakai Black gone things might go different since he seemed to be the main guy behind the spooky stuff."
[6.0] "She's young and has a lot of potential but she really needs a big improvement in-ring wise. She looks so lost at times during matches, I think a Japan run could help her a lot. She's got the presentation, entrance and promos right though which are her biggest upside. If she can improve in the ring, she can easily be a big player in the coming years."

Its her in ring work that needs improving the most. She's not terrible but right now her best is just passable."

You can tell almost everything has been practiced beforehand. Better safe than sorry for sure but the art is making it not look that way. Still, she has zero presence even with a bunch of bells and whistles trying to make her seem ~mysterious~. She often can't even set up her own finisher right. Absolutely bizarre she's gotten the push she has without anything to show for it really."
[8.0] "When not injured she is one of the best in AEW today and one of the most exciting wrestlers in North America. Over the last year she has improved amazingly and has the presence to match it. She has a stellar moonsault and I look forward to seeing more of her."
[6.0] "Between a 6 and 7 on this. Her entrance is among the best in wrestling, but her tbs title run was unfortunately marred by injury. Capable of very good matches with the right people, but still green and guilty of weak offense at times. Presentation-wise fantastic, and I'm certainly rooting for her to succeed."

Yes, shes got a lot of improving to do but the womens division seems to be amazing signs of improvement so im rooting for her."
[9.0] "She has one of the best entrances in wrestling. Her presentation is on point and she carries herself like a star. She feels like a star when she appears. In the ring though, she's not usually at a level to match. She's very young though and will continue to grow."
[0.0] "To this day, I still don't understand the hype for her. She seems lost in most of her matches, when she participates in matches with other fighters she doesn't seem to connect with them. I hope she proves me wrong, I hope she improves and becomes a star. But with each match of her that I watch I believe less that this is possible."
[7.0] "When the House of Black started no one could have thought that the person who would benefit the most from it would be Julia Hart. I've loved this girl since just before the HOB, with the Varsity Blonds not really but when preparations started for her turn I got into the game and wanted to see. Since then I have followed her every day with real interest because it must be remembered that she was only 22 years old, 20 at the time of her turn. She has everything to learn so yes she is not an Io Shirai, a Mayu Iwatani, a Suzu Suzuki or even a Mercedes Mone. Obviously she still has a lot of flaws in the in ring but she is progressing and this is clearly visible. The more time passes, the more credible and fluid she is in her matches, not to mention her character and her charisma which is also progressing a lot. The public reacts when she is there, proof that AEW is right to bet on her in the future and is absolutely right to already use her a lot because that is how she will become an excellent wrestler. The future will tell but I sincerely believe in her."
[9.0] "Julia is a star. Not a future star, she is a star. She is one of few talent I watch AEW for and without a doubt she has what it takes to be at the top of this industry within due time. She is fully emersed in her character and plays the part better than anyone else in an ominous gimmick. The timeline of Julia Hart and her growth will be looked back on one day and some will say... How didn't I see it sooner."
[2.0] "Not good four years in. Aew signing Cody's students with zero in ring experience no reputation made for themselves in any kind of way has always been a failure on this companies part. There is a number of mind blowing talents out there that could have been signed in her and all of there places specially in the women's division and the complaint and much more the cope of "booking the women better" would maybe not be as prevalent if talented signings would have been made. There's women with 4 years experience that are generational having matches of the year contenders regardless of gender and aew fans insist that this mediocre talent is as good somehow? Nah the women's division will continue to suffer with talents like Hart being the centerpieces"
[10.0] "One of the best young talents in AEW at the moment. Transformed her character from a silly two dimensional cheerleader gimmick to the leader of the House of Black. Shes killing it with the TBS belt. Shes the only one in her faction right now bringing more interesting motivation to her matches than simply doing run-ins and beatdowns after matches. Excited to see if she will recruit more people to the faction and bring some substance to the group."
[8.0] "For how green she used to be, with a terrible gimmick and not particularly good in the ring. Her joining the House of Black and the entire storyline with being misted by Malakai Black, has made her a must watch in terms of her entrance and aura in the ring. Her in ring ability has increased massively since this point and winning the TBS title is clearly a reward for how far her character and ability in the ring has come in the last four years. The fact she's only been wrestling since 2019 and is already captivating to a lot of people is a good sign for her future."
[6.0] "Am I the only one who doesn't really get the Julia Hart hype? Like her character work is good and that's really it. I think I've only heard one promo from her and it wasn't anything eventful. As far as wrestling goes, she almost doesn't unless it's a squash match which doesn't make sense because of her size. Maybe in a couple years she'll be better but right now she's just mid to me."
[3.0] "Another young talent from AEW that has potential, however if relying on her gimmick (aka WWE does) more than her in ring skill is the focus, then AEW is not the place for her. In ring skill is AEW's main focus for fans (OG fans not AEWWWE fans). Yes her "moonsault" looks good, but people forgot she was a cheerleader, so why are people shocked? Julia needs to go to Japan/Indies to get those reps. Otherwise I do not see anything improvement as a wrestler and just a prop. Yes her look is good (just like Jade Cargill) but it can only carry so far. Also AEW should consider she was under the Nightmare Factory so do not be surprised if she jumps to WWE (same with her husband Lee Johnson) to be with Cody & the gang."
[8.0] "Someone who's definitely a rising star. Her character work is top notch, whether she's a quiet, ominous manager to the rest of the House of Black, to a trolling, malicious sadist who love to beat others in the women's division, Julia Hart consistently makes a strong impression every time she's in the ring. Her ring work is also great, mixing in graceful gymnastics with brutal beatdowns. Add on her subtle tactical mind, and impressive manuevers in the ring, and it makes for a great wrestler."
[5.0] "The praise that she gets is really odd. Her 'great character work' is just having a well-executed entrance and a great look. Aside from that, she's average in every category. People are just excited about her because she's new and is a rare example of a female talent in AEW that is being given consistent booking and is being presented well."
[2.0] "Right now Julia is literally just a prop or an additional 'aesthetic piece' for the House of Black, only ever showing up as their "cutesy" little goth friend to either (1) stare down their opponents with an annoyingly false sense of superiority (given she's accomplished literally nothing to justify that confident attitude), or (2) constantly, egregiously interfere in their matches and save them from defeat, despite how that actually majorly detracts from the "dark and brutal fighters" image they try to project, since they're then shown as incompetent and weak by having to constantly rely on a tiny, young, inexperienced girl in order to win their matches. There's certainly no future for this character of hers since she definitely hasn't developed it in a single meaningful or interesting way in the year that she's been with the group, and since AEW Dark closed down she's not even getting wrestling reps anymore, so I fail to see what AEW could possibly intend to do with her. The few times she's actually wrestled have always been very forgettable anyways, with her in-ring skills being around that Anna Jay, Bunny, Abadon level of not *quite* terrible but definitely still showing no promising upside to justify any further training. It's not like her actions or presence affects how the other HOB members are viewed by the audience either, since she's never been shown to have a stronger connection with any one of Malakai, King, or Buddy compared to the other members, so her character/role can't even be used to meaningfully tease and build-up an engaging inter-team dispute. Her one current redeeming feature is just how young yet confident she is in her performances, since even if the confidence she shows makes little sense for the logic of her character, the fact she's comfortable enough displaying that confidence at all is still somewhat impressive, especially for someone so young and inexperienced. I guess I'm therefore not saying she's a total write-off *just* yet, and maybe she can eventually even direct her confidence towards a significant end, like if she somehow manages to make a major overhaul on her wrestling skills and/or character development."
[10.0] "Right now my favourite thing about the House of Black. Fell in love with her theme, her entrance, her look, her gimmick, her character work, she's improved in the ring (despite not being perfect but still okay). What more can you ask for a wrestler in a division that's full of problems? Her antics are also kind of funny. And she gets even beaten up by wrestlers, which is something you don't see out of other valets. Right now what I want to see from her is getting ready for some titles, because she needs some"

Now, I would like to rate her higher, but currently her moveset it's very limited (I think she should definetly adopt more of the aggresive moves or quirks of the stable, Matthews' being a great example she could incorporate to improve her character) and she barely has time to show it off. Her submission move/finisher it's absolutely terrific, and I can't wait to see her using it on live TV against one of the faces of the female division; they should pair it with a joshi soon, and definetly give her longer matches, even if (in the meantime) it's only in house shows. Keep up the good work Julia!"
