[8.0] "I saw most of Jeter's work in OVW BEFORE the stupid Spirit Squad gimmick, he was excellent and could both work and talk. He had an excellent feud with Matt Capotelli (RIP) where Jeter was a heel and Caps was the face. Like most members of the Spirit Squad, he was a good worker who got given a lame comedy gimmick and was buried immediately. Had heaps of potential and could've been a big deal if WWE used him properly."

[6.0] "From what I remember of him, he was real far advanced for age at the time, and for how long he had been in the business at that point. Because he started out as a babyface and he did everything good. he bumped great, he sold well, he had a fire to him, and he could draw emotion from the crowd. He also had an actual babyface and was in shape. The main roster saw him as a heel, put him with 4 other guys, and i feel like his talent kinda got put in the background after that. He never really shined after that, despite working in the top program because i think the WWE's minds were already made up who the star (s) were gonna be and that was Kenny & Nicky (Ziggler.)"

[5.0] "A capable lightweight worker who had a good amount of success in the then-WWE developmental territory OVW, Johnny Jeter was effective as a member of the Spirit Squad, but ultimately struggled to stand out next to the seemingly-designated breakout star of the group Kenny, and the eventual actual breakout star Nicky (Dolph Ziggler). Once the group dissolved, he found himself back in developmental and only returned to the main roster for a few tours of the house show/dark match circuit before leaving the company. Thus far his only notable return to the ring was to participate in the CHIKARA King of Trios tournament in 2014 alongside fellow Spirit Squadders Kenny and Mikey."
