Whatever talents she's had both in-ring and on the mic have not been properly showcased on the main roster in years. Not her fault, but unfortunately it gives her a relatively empty catalog of moments and matches lately. As a result, there's really very little to go off of when evaluating Michin over the past several years."

I hope sooner or later WWE gives her, her flowers and she wins a mid card title for a couple months, because she has always been booked as a jobber at WWE. She's currently carrying her group wrestling wise as BFab is pretty bad and Jade continues to be unsure and botch here and there and I think they should recognize her efforts and rewards her something down the line."

[3.0] "After (credit to her) busting her ass on the indies for around 7 years, she made it into TNA, wherein her work just barely reached the proper side of "just okay". Shortly after, she was shoehorned into WWE and immediately, aggressively regressed from a status that was already not great. Her mic work is high school theater class level & she's impossible to take seriously in the "Baddies" stable (The "Baddies? " Really? ), wherein she teams with a wrestler whom is considerably worse than her in a subservient role to a wrestler whom is considerably worse than her. I don't think I've ever seen a match from her that's made me go "Wow! "."

Megansindgo wrote on 23.06.2026:

[3.0] "I mean c'mon... I seriously doubt anybody could name one good match she has had after being in the business for 16 years. I remember her as a character in TNA, and thought she was alright... and then she went to WWE and just.. yeah. Completely void of personality, no pop, not exactly awe-inspiring in the ring either. She's just kind of there. She's at least a pretty solid wrestler but that's all she really has going for her. Have to rate her a 3 based on the 16 years of experience in wrestling yet not one good or memorable match."
firemeetswater43 wrote on 17.05.2026:
[3.0] "I'd give Michin a 3 because while she's reliable in the ring, she still hasn't really broken through as someone who feels important on the roster. She can put on decent matches and always gives effort, but a lot of her work has no standout moments that make you remember her. A big issue is that she often feels like she's there to fill out the division rather than being treated as a serious threat. WWE gives her opportunities here and there, but she rarely gets momentum or a storyline that lets her stand out long-term."
PWC wrote on 05.05.2026:
[6.0] "I really liked her a lot initially in TNA when she was with the Dollhouse with Taryn, Marti and Rebel. She was goofy and in a good way, could put together a very good match (watch her stuff with Gail in TNA back in 2015-2016) and she can do some crazy things like hurricanranas and package piledriver in the ring. Her matches with Rosemary and Allie in 2017 were also really good. However ever since 2018 or so, it's been downhill for her ever since. Got lazier in the ring, lost all the spark she had on the mic when being with the Dollhouse in TNA. Her initial WWE run was 1/10 terrible and the less said of her "Reckoning" character the better and her re-hired run is also equally as bad that I wouldn't be surprised if she was gone sooner rather than later at this point."
Khalid Ace wrote on 04.05.2026:

She was never a great talker or even as a character but her in ring work was her only good thing and she has declined badly to the point that I truly believe she is the worst worker in WWE currently just behind the Bella Twins who aren't even wrestlers because she has been constantly giving us some horrible performances"

However, in WWE, she is being underutilized. I wish the company would recognize her talent, as well as that of other talented indie wrestlers like Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, and Kay Lee Ray"

From her early days on the independent circuit to her stints in TNA as Jade and now WWE, she has consistently delivered solid in-ring work and connected with fans. Mia Yim stands out for her resilience and passion, overcoming injuries and setbacks while continuing to evolve as a competitor. She has held championships and been part of high-profile storylines, and her presence adds depth to any women's division she joins. Though she has yet to receive a big push in WWE, her talent and work ethic are undeniable, making her a reliable and respected figure in today's wrestling landscape - one capable of bigger things should she get that push"

It's not necessarily her fault as her booking is pretty poor, but at the same time she hasn't really shown much when she gets the chance"

If you can't offer the audience something more than average wrestling, that's bad. If she was initially positioned as a jobber, I'd even give her a 7, but she's been a contender for the US title for months: the newest title in WWE, which is pretty important, the title needs to be promoted. And how are you going to catch an eye to title if Michin is fighting for it?"

[4.0] "Not sure how her current overall rating is as high as it is. Everything she does is average. Even her finishing move (Eat Defeat) is a copy of Gail Kim who is overall a much better wrestler than her. I think her best persona was as Jade in the Dollhouse when she was one of Taryn Terrell's "associates". Curious that her wrestling style is as "Allrounder". I don't think she really fits the WWE roster particularly because in the WWE you either should have good charisma or good wrestling ability (or be connected to the Samoan Dynasty aka a relative of the Rock), of which she has neither."

Her NXT run was decent and then she got put in the terrible Retribution group. When she returned they put her in the OC which seemed forced. They have been using her more on Smackdown and she had a good feud with Jaida Parker in NXT. With how deep the talent is in WWE, I don't think she'll be champion but she is a good utility player."
Odinohka wrote on 22.08.2024:

While her charisma and acting aren't sensational, the fact remains that she has a certain presence in the ring and really good technical skills. While it's hard to imagine her at the top of the card, especially after her long-standing poor writing and inconsistency at certain points in her career, she definitely deserves a place on the card, whether in the Title Picture dnun a secondary title or forming a solid women's team."

When the NXT women's division was at arguably its peak in 2019-20 she didn't really stand out and was overshadowed by other competitors such as Ripley, Belair, Io, Dakota and Candice."

Her movements are slow, her attacks completely lack impact, and she's usually really sloppy whenever she has to pull off a spot/exchange with someone instead of just being allowed to get 100% of her offence in. The worst part is that she doesn't even look any better when working with far better wrestlers than just the usual sub-par workers in the Impact women's division. She's just bad all around."

She had a nice run in TNA/Impact as Jade, including a good feud with Rosemary. While not among the top pushed stars in NXT, Yim had good TV matches and took some crazy bumps along the way. Now she's a member of RETRIBUTION using the name Reckoning, it's still early days to see how she takes to this role, but given her track record, she'll make the most of it."

No. But she showed that she can deliver with great energy (Her Street Fight with Candice or the Ladder Match with Io). I don't know if WWE will make her a top star. But she would be ready if they gave her a chance (in my opinion)."

I think after she falls short against Shayna at the upcoming Takeover, she'll likely be the female version of Kassius Ohno -- someone who's good in the ring & who can act as an enhancement talent for the people coming into NXT who likely have more to offer. That's not a bad role to have & I think Mia would be good for the company with that."

She can do just about everything; sell, work, look good, etc. Talking might be my only knock against her but I don't put a lot of stock in talking because wrestling's where it's at in my book. It is unfortunate that Yim recently lost her Shine title but she is going to TNA so I guess she had to drop it before getting fully signed. Nikki Roxx dropped her WSU title in a similarly before heading to Dixie land. I only hope Mia has better luck in TNA then Roxxi did."

She was formally introduced on the national stage in ROH, where she served as a valet for one iteration of the Embassy stable, but her in-ring national introduction came in TNA where, as Jade, she was brought in as part of the Dollhouse stable. Though meant as a backup character, her talent allowed her to stand out, and with the stable now history she's become a new breakout star in the Knockouts division with a reign as Knockouts Champion already under her belt. A valuable addition to any women's division, and sure to be a prominent player in the years to come."
