His ring work reflects the quality of somebody whom has had a decade more experience than him. Barring any acts of god (or, something more likely, bad TKO management), he could become a universally loved mainstay for WWE."

"Dragon Lee, where do i even begin? Your talent is being wasted. You're arguably a top 10 wrestler on the planet but despite that fact TKO/Hunter see you as a low midcard guy. Your swag too different, your move set too smooth, your mask too sexy, your money too big. I love you Dragon Lee. You will be on my GWE list. You have the best suicide dive in pro wrestling today, you have the best david vs goliath capability being locked up in da fed. We seen hints of greatness when you're given tv time, hell even on the mic you're underrated. I hope one day the wwf sees value in you or you are able to take your talent elsewhere and thrive. We miss you Ryu."

[9.0] "The only thing Dragon Lee doesn't have is that little bit of charisma needed to make him a megastar like Rey Mysterio (who doesn't have a whole lot of charisma either.) In-ring, Dragon Lee is up there with the very best. In every promotion and country he has been to, he has always put on a great show and adapated to the style very easily. In-terms of wrestling ability, you can't ask for anything better in my opinion. His WWE stuff is alright, he was unfortunately lost in the shuffle until he and AJ Styles teamed. Since then, he has gone up a level in my opinion and his future is very bright in WWE."
[9.0] "One of the best things that AJ Styles did before he retired was put Dragon Lee in a good position. Since Dragon Lee won the tag titles, he's been able to put on such good performances and it's clear that creative realized it because he's been getting showcased so much better on TV. His work in NJPW is still the height of his career by far, but I can see Dragon Lee doing big things in the future. For a while his run on the main roster wasn't good at all but it's clearly improving.."

His moveset is nothing short of incredible, I'm really enjoying his run in WWE as of now, but obviously creative does not take his seriously or utilize him to his fullest, to the shock of nobody. He needs to work on his mic-skills to really shine. But he has the potential to be a big star."

"Dragon Lee is a beast in the ring. He always seems to know what he's doing, and I enjoy every match he has, no matter who it's with; he always gives his all. I like that he's used as a mainstay for AAA and WWE collaborations, but I feel he deserves a title shot. Obviously, he still has a long way to go at the promo making level, but he's a great wrestler."

Unfortunately, and I say this without any tribalism believe me, he didn't choose the right company to exploit all his talent in the ring. If he'd gone to AEW, he'd already be a big star and the darling of the public. We miss you Dragon!"

[5.0] "I had seen a bit of Dragon Lee prior to him joining WWE & I was never all too impressed, despite him having a rather favorable following from the non WWE fanbase. Sure, he could do a lot of the lucha stuff pretty well. But despite that & even having a dragon persona, I never felt that he clicked with me. Now in WWE, he feels like a poor excuse for Kalisto. WWE has tried for years to find a good replacement for Mysterio & I don't think they have it with Dragon Lee. Now that Penta & Fenix have also found their way to WWE, I don't see him making much of an impact there. Probably he will be slotted into whatever they end up doing with AAA. Perhaps he'll be a player there. But for now, whenever I see him listed in a match, he always just feels like he's kind of there."

This man is an incredible talent; a prodigy way beyond his years and it's a shame he doesn't get to show it like he used to. He's so much more than what you see on Raw (or Speed...)."

[2.0] "I will give Dragon Lee the benefit of the doubt, I hardly ever watch any wrestling that's not WWE. I've watches some TNA & AEW matches from their respective YouTube channels, but I mostly stick to WWE. With all that being said, Dragon Lee is extremely boring. He has the same shtick as Rey Mysterio, which is "I'm Lucha! Cheer for me please, you love Lucha, right? ! " and it's a terrible gimmick. He also has really boring wrestler. He doesn't deserve to be anything more then a low mid-carder for life. Boring wrestling isn't helping him either. He also can't tell a storyline to save his life. I really want him to go back to NXT, so I don't have to see him on my screen every week. He also has the boring storyline with The Judgment Day. Please go somewhere else Dragon Lee, you honestly suck. All he does is high flying moves and nothing else. No promo skills, no facial expressions, no nothing. Just extremely boring wrestling. He didn't deserve to be NXT North American Champion. Boring, TV changer, Snorefest master wrestler. 2/10"

He has been built up as the superstar on the main roster but hasn't been presented like anything other than Rey's side kick but he has shown his potential in CMLL, NJPW and NXT"

Well, maybe because that's because Dragon Lee is already good enough to be NXT Champion and beyond. Incredible in the ring and is absolutely one of the best high flyers in WWE and one of the best luchadors in the entire world. Can't wait to see him on the main roster in the coming years."

He's had a lot of good matches, but his strongest have been in Japan. His feud with Hiromu Takahashi elevated him and put him on the map. He's a cardio machine. His suicide dive is INSANE. He's got annoying habits like his Shibata cosplay act, and when he's not working in Japan he feels less special."

[7.0] "Amazing combination of athleticism and in ring skills, and not too shabby at submission moves as well. He was very lucky that defining feud with Kamaitachi (Hiromu Takahashi) happened so early in his career, helping him bypass the CMLL booking morass and making him a big deal in Japan. And Japan, or to be more specific NJPW, has treated him well and made him a much bigger deal than CMLL where he would have been no doubt lost in the shuffle and forced to play backstage politics: amazing matches with Shingo Takagi, Taichi Ishiimori etc and very high quality wrestling all around. Again I won't comment on his decision to leave CMLL: his plan was probably to become a regular in NJPW or at least a freelancer mostly working in Japan and hopefully CMLL won't object to that."

[7.0] "Despite my 'harsher' ratings (I only reserve 9s and 10s for Tanahashi/Kobashi-tier performers), Dragon Lee is one of my favourite workers in the business today, and a contender for the most incredible Luchador I've ever seen. He is an out-and-out great worker, is a tremendous athlete, has superhuman cardio, is in outstanding shape, has a great look, and can put on great matches with a variety of opponents. The fact he is merely 24 years of age is truly mindboggling. With more experience his psychology and selling will improve, and he'll become more and more confident in his ability to assert himself and work the crowd. He's one of the only current junior heavyweights in the world I could see retiring as a 9/10 for me. The fact we've only just begun to see his journey and he's already this gifted is genuinely exciting and commendable. All of that, and he's a lovely human being too. I look forward to him and Takahashi lighting the Junior division ablaze."
