Dax Harwood

[4.0] "Because FTR is undeniably one of the most beloved tag teams today, I think he deserves to be called a "good wrestler" on that merit, which is good because his in ring work is very bad. I've always been truly shocked at how people don't talk about the divide between Harwood and Wheeler's skills. Harwood is really, really bad in the ring. He clearly understands psychology, but in singles competition, that can't make up for a lack of fundamentals, any kind of mid or high spots, selling ability, technical skill, or athleticism. Again, FTR is admittedly a 10 (they aren't my cup of tea, but I'm not blind, I see why they're where they are), but Harwood really probably should transition into another team if he and Wheeler ever truly split long term."

[8.0] "Dax the Axe is the best wrestler on FTR, one of my favorite tag teams ever, but also can be extremely interesting alone, his solo runs are great, it's unnecessary to talk about him as a tag wrestler, phenomenal, consolidated, immortal, but he's also very good on his own, it's always interesting and enjoyable when he has singles matches, I love his style, he's an awesome and smart worker, very charismatic as well, strong personality, passionate for wrestling, a student of the game, I'm a huge fan of Dax, the wrestling business need people like him, wrestlers like him are getting rarer and rarer these days."

[7.0] "This guy never gets tired of hearing himself talk about how great of a tag team wrestler he is, and while that's only somewhat true, I just don't get his appeal. He looks more like Arn Anderson's son than Brock does, but he acts as if he's Hulk Hogan of tag wrestling. He's dull, FTR is dull, and his running his mouth is annoying."

"A traditional all around brawler and wrestler. ( No flips, just fists automatically lowers his his overall rating to most people I'm sure. ) Dax has proven that he's one of the best. FTR is in the argument for one of the greatest tag teams of all time. This however hasn't stopped Dax from passing on what he knows by wrestling singles matches to elevate Other talent that might need it."

FTR is a great act, but I find that his individual performances in singles matches lack the standout quality , outside of a good slingshot powerbomb, that other people see. Even in FTR, Harwood's contribution doesn't particularly shine for me. On the mic he is serviceable at least, he has been featured in more singles matches than necessary, and Harwood hasn't delivered the kind of impact or excitement that makes him a good single wrestler."

[8.0] "All of my thoughts on Cash are the same for Dax honestly. Great Wrestler and I would I agree is the heart and soul of FTR, the only reason why he is higher then Cash is because he got a singles run."

[4.0] "He's really bad on the mic, trying to come off as a tough guy but being weirdly insecure in kayfabe and out about the most mundane shit. All the crowing about old-school logic/rules/etc. amounts to him just re-enacting spots from Bret Hart or other tag teams. For as much as he has a reputation of a technician there are some oddly weird moments in his match that are outright sloppy or just don't make sense. It always seems to come from the place of wanting to be too clever by half but just making him and the opponent look bad."

"The weak link of the most overrated team in modern-day wrestling, and is an annoyance outside of the business. I'm fine with FTR on their own, but I shudder to think of how awful Dax would be by himself."

[8.0] "Good in ring wrestler. Better in tag team than as a singles wrestler but can go alone if needed. Is pretty good on the mic. FTR has been one of the best teams in today's wrestling."

There's something comforting about him as well. He reminds me of my dad (and I'm 10 years or so older than the guy). Love watching his matches."

[9.0] "The best of the duo, he has a classic wrestling style and does it very well, I agree with his comment comparing him to a modern-day Arn Anderson. As a singles wrestler despite having wrestled little, he has done very well and has shown that he can manage as singles to spare. And little more to say, I like it as a wrestler and I think that in AEW it fits very well with the wrestling style they are looking for."

[9.0] "I'm not really the guy who likes comparing past wrestlers to present wrestlers, but the more I watch Dax Harwood/Scott Dawson through the years, the more I see him as a second-coming of Arn Anderson. From the bald-headed look to the mean expressions all the way to the detailed body language and movement, this guy just got Arn all over him! This isn't a knock on his ability as a worker either, as he has proven multiple times that he was every bit as good in the ring as he can be. Fantastic tag team wrestler who could also get it done in singles. Can work as both face and heel, as seen from recent work lately. Amazing in-ring psychology and top-notch timing. Good promo when given the right material to work with. Just an all-around excellent wrestler who I can see giving a ten in the near future."

[8.0] "Dax is good on the mic and great in the ring. He excels as a tag team wrestler, but in his early days of NXT we did see him play with some solo character work and while he wasn't given much to work with, we did see a little bit of something in there which could lend itself well to a singles run. Dax is very good in the ring and can deliver the message for FTR in a way not many others can. Very very good at what he does."

[9.0] "Uncle Dax is easily one of the top 10 wrestlers in the world just from his work as a tag team wrestler, he has a great old school pick of moves, amazing charisma in and out of the ring and most of all he has on of the best heel character in the world and the number one reason why FTR is the best team in the world Currently."

[9.0] "He's awesome. He gets wrestling, little things, storytelling, even as a singles competitor he did his job more than good. Match with Punk was awesome and last two tag matches against Briscoes and YB are all-time classics."

His mic skills aren't bad and I actually like his look since he is reminiscent of old school wrestlers which works for his shtick well."

As a tag team, FTR are one of the best currently out there... but honestly, considering how thin the tag team landscape is in every company, that is not saying a whole lot. FTR are solid in the ring, but as characters, they are on the bland side. If you compare them to the Dudley & Edge & Christian from the Attitude Era, or to The Hart Foundation or The Rockers from the Rock & Wrestling Era; you'll see how FTR fall short. That aside, FTR have great technique & many current teams of today could learn a lot from these guys. They are wrestling historians & have tons of respect for the business. I will say that Dax is obviously more comfortable on the mic than his partner."

[7.0] "Original Comment (29/07/2016): Sure, Dawson is lacking promo skills, his physique is not up to WWE's standards, he is short, but... Have you seen him wrestle? The guy has awesome in-ring psychology, his style fits him perfectly and I hope that his tag with Dash Wilder ends up being successful in both NXT & WWE's main roster. Edit: Bumped up my rating to 10. He had some amazing matches recently and got a lot better on the mic. One of my favorite guys on NXT (alongside Nak). Update: Yeah he is good. But his look got a bit worse and his promos repetitive. His style doesn't work in the main roster."

[7.0] "Dawson is the better part of a tag team but he lacks the potential to ever be anything more. It's honestly the ideal position for him because if you put him with someone better he'd probably just end up super overlooked."

[3.0] "Average wrestler, doesn't really bring much to the table in terms of versatility or mic skills. Somewhat bland but the tag team division suits him well. Otherwise he'd be going nowhere as a singles competitor."

[8.0] "The best tag team wrestler in the world at the moment. Scott Dawson just absolutely nails it; his mannerisms, his facial expressions, his offense, his selling are all so, so, so good. I really want the Revival to never break up because they are such a fantastic team, but I'd like to see how Dawson would do in singles action. He's great."

His promo skills could use some improving a little bit, but what saves Scott Dawson for the time being at least is that he has a manager, that being Sylvester Lefort, to do a lot of the talking for him if Scott ever needs him to."
