[8.0] "Meiko Satomura continues to look great in this tournament. This match was excellent, and stiff but in a great way. Meiko's kicks look so incredible and Martinez sells them so well. The power of this match is what makes it. Recommended watch."

So beautifully stiff while also selling Martinez's blows well. Seamlessly moving around the mat, her submissions are so nice to watch. Hell, she somehow manages to make me like Cole as a commentator when he's talking in matches she's in. Solid match."

The chops by Martinez were impressive and she meshed well with the Japanese legend whose offense was brutal as always. Still Match of the tourney so far and the third best women matches in wwe this year."

[8.0] "This match is 11 minutes, but it feels more like 15 to 20, which is really the only thing that holds it back. They both take their time, and both get a number of big moments in (and small moments as well), looking just like the top-class veterans they both are. Unfortunately, there's not much of a feeling of urgency to the bout or much story to tell -- just two great wrestlers going at it hard, but not fast. Overall match: 82/100."

[9.0] "Now this is an excellent match. Heard from the tapings all kinds of praise and this totally delivered, in my opinion. Loved everything about this match. The structure, the pacing, the strikes as well as the mat work. Everything clicked perfectly. Mercedes Martinez being unrelenting with the front face lock, trying to wear Meiko down but Meiko not giving up, laying into some body shots and making a great comeback with some nasty strikes that created a thudding sound. A real compelling match that got a well deserving ovation from the crowd. ****1/4"

Both women looked great and strong with neither being able to fully put the other away. Easily the best match of the tournament thus far. ****"

Beautiful, crisp wrestling from bell to bell without having to leave the ring once. If given half an hour, I can only imagine the magic they'd make now that they've shared a ring once."
Rybackobashi wrote on 12.10.2018:
[9.0] "Wow, I feel like this match has been underrated quite a bit. I thought it was fantastic, both women were on point and went at war, just stiffing each other in front of a great crowd. Not much to say really, it was just an excellent back-and-forth strong style sprint with solid in-ring storytelling, and it was damn enjoyable, probably Martinez's best performance and match ever. One of the finest women's wrestling match you'll see all year ! ****1/4"
