[6.0] "The match itself was only decent, but everything surrounding it was really good, with the eventual result feeling like a big deal that shook up the status quo of ECW at the time. This match essentially split up the Triple Threat and sowed the seeds for the eventual Guilty As Charged 1999 main event between Douglas and Taz. A good bit of business, only elevated by the live crowd"
[3.0] "Strange set up, Bigelow suddenly wants to take the title from his stablemate Shane Douglas, not a lot of build up for that but here we are. Match was not without its moments but largely just sort of short and boring, Doulgas has not been an entertaining champion and while Bigelow can be quite fun, he doesn't really bring Shane up here."
[7.0] "I thought while this match was short it was good. Bam Bam comes out dominant out of the gate. Douglas has a brief comeback before Bigelow finishes the match. Overall the match was good but felt a little too short but that also does a better job of building up Bigelow."
