Shotaro Ashino vs. Yuma Aoyagi

[7.0] "[3.25*] Very good match, with a lot of stiff action. Yuma took two INSANE head bumps on the German Suplexes and it looked pretty nasty. Match was very fun and well worked, but the lack of atmosphere and the full silence took me off a little bit. I never really had full attention tho, it felt like a very good match that will be forgotten 10 hours later."

[7.0] "Too short to be a classic but really good action while it lasted. Ashino and Aoyagi are two of the most consistent performers in All Japan and they lived up to that reputation even if the match never kicked into a higher gear. ***1/2"

[8.0] "What a great match, this had an entertaining build up with an absolutely bonkers crescendo. One of my favourite moments outside of the finishing sprint was smooth transition from a failed pinfall attempt to an ankle lock. Ashino looks like he's legitimately trying to kill Aoyagi at times near the end and it was fantastic to witness."

[7.0] "The best match of the tournament so far, this was just great as expected between these two great talents. Yuma Aoyagi acted like a dick from the start by slapping Ashino who eventually got pissed and they beat the crap of each other intensely inside and outside the ring, throwing each other on the chairs. Aoyagi started to work Ashino's neck with a DDT outside the ring, the neckwork was pretty interesting all along and prepared well the end game. Ashino came back and both gave their all, Ashino threw some hainous German Suplexes, some of the most brutal of his career and a brutal lariat, it seemed like he didn't seem to forget what Aoyagi did earlier in this contest. Ashino was determined and unstoppable, Aoyagi understood that he did a big mistake by slapping Ashino and lost against him in a really decisive way - ***3/4"

[8.0] "The best match of the tournament for me, just a great competitive match with Ashino hammering Aoyagi with lariats and suplexes to get the win"

[8.0] "Two really good pro-wrestlers had a really good pro-wrestling match, which surprisingly is exactly what this tournament was sorely lacking up until this point. THAT Lariat by Ashino was the biggest highlight - it was something else, absolutely flawless execution. ***3/4"

[9.0] "Best Match of the tournament up to this point this was pretty great. You expect these two to put on a great match and that's exactly what they did. This match had more fire than basically any match previous to it and it really woke me up from my champion carnival doze."

[8.0] "oohwee oooohwee ooh boy mhm yup thats some good fucking shit right there, Shotaro tried killing Yuma on 5 different occasions and it went hard as shit. Some nice submission reversals and a very enthused crowd really rounded out the murder death suplexes. Very good cute sexy little match"

[6.0] "Nice little match between Yuma and Ashino. A fast start, with some solid nearfalls, and one pretty crazy suplex where Yuma got dumped on his head. Not sure I love Ashino winning though. 3.25 Stars."
