[7.0] "Good and satisfactory match and Title defense of Awesome Truth to open this raw, entertaining match with a proper result, nothing tood spectacular like for a 10 but definitely absolutely not bad at all for something less than a 5, and also that end of the match with Ciampa rejecting the handshake with Truth and Miz looks like a turn heel of Tommaso Ciampa which is something that worries me a little because I think #DIY deserves to be Tag Team champion once, draft to SmackDown and they defeat Austin and Grayson maybe, but returning to the match, a good match to open this Raw so 7/10 [***3/4]"

[7.0] "Fun tag team match. The in-ring work was solid with nothing negative to say about it. R-Truth being in his fifties and still being able to wrestle as well as he does is incredible. Did not think that #DIY had a chance as this was Awesome Truth's first defense on a random episode of Monday Night Raw."

[6.0] "The Awesome Truth team isn't really about ring work at all (though I do think Truth is still great, for his age or otherwise, ) and while both teams were able to put together a totally serviceable opening match, the bigger deal is that there was a bit of a threat of breaking up DIY afterwards, which is a little scary to consider. Nearly every segment in this episode was faction/teams threatening to break up, and even though DIY was the first to go out, it still feels like there's was the least logical."

[6.0] "Solid match for the tag team titles. A pretty good back and forth with some nearfalls. Not anything that really stood out, but it was all fine. With how much DIY has been pushed, it's a surprise they aren't the new champions. After the match, Ciampa refused a handshake and later walked out on an interview, teasing a breakup of DIY and a heel turn. Not sure why they couldn't have won here and had a run with the belts for a little while. Awesome Truth winning the titles was a good moment, but they didn't need this. 6/10"

The near falls were good and Awesome Truths new finisher is genuinely one of my favorites in the whole roster. Nice to see theyre serious about Awesome Truth, but I think D.I.Y shouldve taken home the gold. Im very intrigued by the alluded Ciampa heel turn as well."

"A great match full of entertainment showing you do not have to have the most intense and serious competitors or storylines to have a good match. If anyone says any of these competitors are bad wrestlers make sure to show them this match. I am getting a little tired of the whole DIY is DX gimmick."

Miz is trying really hard to match the energy and the athletics of his peers. I don't think it's necessary, but respect! The match also had some unexpectedly good near falls. The teaser for a change in DIY at the end is something I expect and fear at the same time - simply the bad aftertaste of a rivalry that was breathtaking, but...well, literally breathtaking, too."

[6.0] "This was a lot of fun. I may or may not agree with the winner, but I can certainly appreciate the fact that this match was truly good. The Miz has improved so much in the ring late in his career and that is a rare sight to see. R-Truth is also perpetually entertaining. As for DIY, there are few better than them. They put that on display once more here. Again, not sure about the outcome, but I try to focus exclusively on match quality here. As such, this was beyond satisfactory. 3.25 stars, 6.5 out of 10."

[6.0] "I have to be honest, as much as I like DIY being in the Title picture, watching them receive another shot, this time against new champions making their first defense while being so over with the crowd was not that appealing to me and I didn't fully understand why making DIY lose against them when they should be getting some more credibility and a more solid story to get noticed by the crowd. Well, I think the match gave me a little answer for that judging by how Tommaso Ciampa rejected the handshake from Awesome Truth. I'm not sure if I will like a DIY heel turn or another Gargano vs Ciampa feud for the 108th time, time will tell. As for the match, it lacked some consistency at times while some other parts greatly surprised me because of the nice flow of the sequences, specially those from Miz and Gargano. Ciampa being the one who was more angry at the result kinda makes sense since it was his fault that Miz could break up the pin attempt after the Meeting in the Middle, but it's also quite hard for me to believe that a veteran and a smart wrestler like him starts celebrating the victory before making sure Miz didn't stop the count. Quite a few inconsistencies, but an overall enjoyable match with an intriguing ending (***)"

[7.0] "Okay, the first title defense of the Awesome Truth. I was completely sure that DIY wouldn't win, so I put up with it in advance. But I still hope that sooner or later Johnny and Tommaso will win the championship. Although, maybe they will go after the draft on the same brand as Grayson and Austin. And DIY will be challenged for titles A-Town Down Under."

I'm happy that R-Truth has the chance to shine while also keeping his comedy act alive. DIY is one of the best tag teams in WWE. Perhaps they'll get their chance to hold the titles at some point. Considering what transpired after the match, it'll be interesting to see how Cimapa's story develops."

"Understandable, need DIY to drop that DX Gimmick before they win any Tag titles and please Miz leave the Rapping to R-Truth alone."

[6.0] "This match was decent - nothing extraordinary but not disappointing either. I was rooting for DIY to win, yet I get why its not the right time for Awesome Truth to drop the titles. Fingers crossed for a title change at Backlash. The most notable moment came post-match when Tommaso Ciampa didnt shake hands with Awesome Truth. I'm keen on seeing DIY stay united for now, but curious about the potential fallout from this angle."

"Just an ok match, nothing special and I think the wrong guys went over, didn't hate the little angle of Ciampa not shaking hands after but that's really the only notable thing that happened. Overall just a solid part of the show."

[4.0] "A fine opener, and that's the nicest way to put it. WWE have their own unique style, and not many people are better at it than The Miz & R-Truth. Whether that's a good thing, ehhhh. Not for me. This combined with Ciampa and Gargano being booked like clowns, causing the crowd to not care at all about them. Miz and R-Truth were over though, if it were me I'd probably prioritize getting the two younger, fresher guys over. Having Awesome Truth win does nothing but hurt Gargano and Ciampa, it doesn't elevate Truth or Miz. It didn't progress anything. It just happened. Nothing went wrong here, but nothing to go out of your way and see."

[7.0] "In a RAW full of little character details, Tommaso Ciampa being salty at the end of DIY's unsuccessful challenge for the World Tag Team Championships caught my eye. DIY has swung and missed for those belts multiple times in recent months. I'd be interested to see if he's finally had enough and if that will result in tension between him and Gargano. The match itself was good. Mike Mizanin made up for his poor hype man skills with good in-ring work. R-Truth played his hits. DIY was typically excellent. Both teams sold well that they were friendly with each other and the match was counter-heavy and flowed well as a result."
