Mercedes Martinez vs. Willow Nightingale

[5.0] "A decent match, definitely felt quite slow and plodding, Nightingale has come a long way in the two years since, but the action was all serviceable. The main issue was a lack of crowd interest by the end and some really spotty selling from Nightingale. Nightingale got the win with a roll-up and totally no-sold the offence in the final stretch after winning. Not actively bad but nothing all that good here."

[5.0] "[2.5*] The match was actually solid, Mercedes had a very good showing especially with the DDT on the ringside and the fisherman suplex. However, the ending was really bad. A powerhouse like Willow should not be no-selling huge bombs with big impacts like this. I took 0.25* because of it."

[6.0] "Good effort by them, this was a nice match, pretty decent. It had fun action outside of the ring, and good interventions by Diamanté. At the end, Mercedes showed a lot of power and seemed to have everything under control but the victory slipped - {**3/4}"

[3.0] "The Finish really hurt the match, I know Willow had to get her win back but the way to have her win hurt Mercedes, Willow has kicked out of the OG Drop Before, why couldn't she just do it again & then do a little more before Willow Slips over? That's why I can't put this over their Supercard of Honor 2022 match. Plus this whole part of the feud was not doing any favors to Latina's Most Wanted. It was Just Tony Knee Jerk Booking."

[5.0] "This is AEW NOT ROH I do not know why we keep getting matches from ROH builds. It is plenty on the main roster in the womens division not being used just use them. That being said the ending of the match I did not like (no selling an impressive move). All in all it was a fine match and moved the story along."

[6.0] "I want to respect what Martinez did in her career but her 2020s work is just so dull and this was emblematic of that. This match felt like Willow working the most generic TV match of all time that could've been against any run of the mill heel ever. Willow is awesome at both selling and tossing people so that worked but not THAT well. Stat looked rad as hell after the match though. **3/4+"

[6.0] "This match was more plodding than I expected it to be, but was otherwise well-worked and physical. It's fun to see Willow against other wrestlers in the division who can match her strength and deadlift abilities (for example, the finishing sequence in this match is impossible to pull off with any other wrestler in the division unless their name is Hayter or Statlander). The mini-feud they're doing with Martinez/Diamante vs Statlander/Willow isn't a barn-burner/must-see situation, but it's compelling enough for a mid-card story on Collision. One small quibble on the finish - I thought it was incredibly creative and technically achieved what they wanted to do, but I would've liked to see Martinez delay the cover for another second or two to sell the idea that Willow gathered her wits before the reversal."

[4.0] "first part of the match made mo go to sleep so i wasn't really interested when it picked up pace. Strikes looked bad and sloppy, in the end Willow casually no sells top rope razors edge and roll Mercedes for the pin. There was some story leading to tag match with i don't give a single f$#k. Skipable encounter"

[4.0] "Alright match but just very heatless and with no purpose. It's bad when you have matches that are there just to set up post-match stuff rather than the matches being the main thing moving things forward. But again, that is the standard for this division."

[5.0] "This was fine but nothing amazing. Willow got hit with an irish whip into the barricade and she later hit a pretty good three amigos and Mercedes hit an awesome fisherman bomb. Statlander saved Willow from a two on one attack by Diamante and Mercedes Martinez after the match. But yeah kind of your run of the mill match here."

[6.0] "Decent outing with Willow Nightingale getting a much needed win on TV, after the ball was dropped on her following her Owen Hart Tournament win. They're still going with her and Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Martinez and Diamante, which has been done already."

[5.0] "This was a disappointing match. Not bad in anyway but just there. I was surprised at the length as it flew past but not in a good way, more like it felt like nothing really happened. These are two of the better in-ring women wrestlers in AEW so it was a missed opportunity. **1/2."

[6.0] "I thought this was a pretty good match, I'm glad that they're using Mercedes Martinez and Diamante more and glad that they are building a rivalry between them and Willow and Statlander."
