[7.0] "[3.5*] My match of the night. This was very well executed, it was not just a spot fest, the pacing was perfect and they gave the audience time to breathe between the spots and sequences, they slowed it down before the climax and it made the climax stretch look pretty good. The AEW youngsters/spotmonkeys should watch this match."

[7.0] "Excellent match and best match of the show. A lot of crazy moves and incredible wrestling. This match was great, it's a shame that for me the show was below average, this used to be a typical match for Dynamite, not the best one - {***1/2}"

[7.0] "Excellent TV match. Pentagon Jr. always delivers when given the opportunity. He could be a much bigger star in my opinion. He did a great job putting over Swerve here. Hard hitting, fast paced, with a great crowd. Everything you could ever want from a good Dynamite match. The attack by Page after the match only made it better. This was my kind of wrasslin'."

[8.0] "How, what a great match. The pace was amazing, the violence was on high level, such a cool action for only 13 minutes. The Canadian Destroyer on the apron and they trying to snap each other's arm was nuts. truly one of the best matches under 15 minutes of the year. (****1/4)."

[8.0] "Penta went LU mode here and it ruled. Shit like this is what makes him good, not spotfests like he's booked in just because he's a luchador. This felt like a fight that happened to have wrestling and high spots, and Swerve added just as much as Penta did. Big bumps with enough time to breathe in-between, some hard strikes, tons of innate charisma, and Nana/Alex being really great seconds at ringside. The biggest issue really was this served no purpose other than to have Swerve keep getting wins and Hangman attack him after the bell (which was a fucking baller segment FYI); Penta eats another singles L not even a week after what they described a big win, when I'd think he should be at least trying to get the title his brother just lost from OC. But all that aside, in a vacuum this match was definitely the most exciting of the night and highlighted two guys that should hopefully being getting into singles title scenes early next year. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Random matchup, but very enjoyable. Spot-focused, but I don't care. Swerve and Penta had serious intensity here and for a midcard TV match, this was top notch. Destroyer on the apron was gnarly, as were the arm snaps. Penta's best showing in what feels like a long time, and another great match for Swerve that proves he's well on the way to becoming a main eventer. Page coming out at the end was the right move, even if the table spot looked sloppy."

[8.0] "very satisfying performance! we need to see much more from these two! Penta is such a great wrestler! my god, did you see that Canadian Destroyer on the apron? Swerve showed a nice performance once again, but I think this match had much more potential than this to be honest. a hardcore type of match for this would've been greater. (****)"

[6.0] "It was already according to the usual structure. The beginning here was very viscous and a little dull. Then the Canadian Destroyer came to the apron and the heat started. Although I dont like it when, in the midst of a match, wrestlers begin to neglect selling for speeds, fortunately it was not here for long. The ending came out very bright with a constant change of initiative and Swerves cool heel work. Not a bad television fight, although also out of thin air."

[8.0] "Every week, I keep saying that Swerve has great chemistry with his opponent but it's becoming clear that Swerve (like Omega or Danielson) is the type of wrestler that produces a good match against anyone. That's not to say Penta isn't a great wrestler (and didn't have a great performance here). It's just what I'm learning about Swerve's in-ring consistency and urgency. The highlights in this one (for me): the dueling arm snaps, and the through-line with the Made in Japan/JML Driver counters. Penta did a fantastic job in selling damage inside and outside the ring. Swerve's biggest offense looked devastating as a result. This was my Match of the Night, and a very good TV match (with a compelling post-match angle with Hangman to top it off)."

[7.0] "This was a really good match: both men delivered nice perfomances and the action was really fun and excting with lots of cool spots and sequences. Penta's springboard apron canadian destroyer was a thing of beauty and Strickland's stomp on the floor was great, too. There were a couple of ankward moments but nothing that hurts the match. Post-match with Hangman's attack on Swerve was great. 7/10 - 3.75*/5*"

[8.0] "This was a very good outing between these 2 at the end of the day. Swerve Stickland is looking better and better every time I see him wrestle, and Penta can always put on a great match. Some decent storytelling From them as well with Swerve putting a major target on the arm. Swerve wins with the double stomp. 8. ****"

[9.0] "You need only listen to the crowd to see how fire this match is, the chips in the silent arena were gnarly and there were tons of really create spots. The sequences on the apron are a standout for me. The 'right' person went over and this ontop of kieth Lee vs Damoa Joe ad the crowd really hot. really fun TV match"
Matt Macks wrote on 09.11.2023:
[7.0] "Good match between two professionals. The premise of Swerve trying to remove Penta's mask did not really come into play until the post-match angle, so this was rather a "standard" match that showed off each character's moveset and personality and made for a fun time. The crowd was hot, the commentary was great, only the winner was pretty much clear from the get go. Fun."

[8.0] "Sure he may have committed an on-screen felony by breaking into Hangman Page's house, but Swerve Strickland is still a tremendous wrestler. Penta El Zero Miedo seems to be the go-to wrestler in AEW to beat without any fear of losing his aura, sure it would be nice for him to win a big match one of these days, but Swerve is the higher priority. This time they explained that Page was banned from ringside to explain why he wouldn't go after Swerve first thing. Great match, then we got the expected angle."

[8.0] "This was my match of the night. I love both of these guys. Penta is probably my favorite Luchador right now, and Swerve is doing some of the best work of his career. Of course, I had high expectations and they were completely met and then some. (****1/4)"

[5.0] "5.5 - Very good at times but also so unclean. Aubrey counting the three while blatantly looking at Penta's shoulder being off the mat was amateurish. Penta beat the hell out of Swerve, with very big spots throughout. Didn't end up making sense as a PPV warm-up, as Swerve should be dead from the apron destroyer, and they should both have broken arms."
