[8.0] "This was another epic match between the two. Like the match at All Out 2021, Britt was ruthless and threw everything she had at Statlander, with her getting some awesome near falls and came so close to winning the title. Kris caught Britt off guard with a roll up for the win."
[7.0] "This was a fun main event between these two. I'm not sure why AEW booked these two faces to fight, especially when Statlander is the champion and Baker is the hometown girl. Either way, this was an entertaining match and, as much as I like Baker, I'm glad Statlander got the win."
[9.0] "Nice to see folks take a break from crapping on Britt Baker because, as usual, when given a chance she acquitted her very well. There's no doubt that Statlander is the better worker of the two and helped make this match special, but Britt was hanging right in there the whole time. Great TV match, really fun."
[8.0] "This is legitimately the best no-bullshit singles match Britt Baker's ever had in AEW or anywhere. While I do genuinely think Britt is just a bad worker, I'll say she gave Statlander a LOT here. She really hit Stat with everything and let her survive it all, down to literally stringing three of her finishers together for a 2 and multiple escapes of the Lockjaw, all in front of a very pro-DMD crowd. Stat on the other hand took all that Britt gave her and really made it into gold between solid selling and really clean reversals throughout the match. One thing that took a little away is that Britt really has a shallow moveset, even for a 12-minute match. There were several sequences where she literally just did the same move 2-4 times in a row and none of them looked any good, but I guess she was saving up because once it was time for the final 5-minute stretch she pulled out of every tool and kept the crowd guessing. The finish was a bit lame but Britt despite it all is still over and beating her clean here would've maybe gotten Stat booed. Really good, borderline great, and again that is REALLY saying something for a Britt Baker singles match. Stat is awesome. ***1/2+"
[7.0] "The match started slowly and some sequences throughout the match lacked urgency, but Britt and Statlander both made the important spots in the match work. The near-fall after the angel wings/curb stomp combo was well-executed, and the audience was buying in. The visual of the finish was fantastic, and I thought Statlander's trap pin looked believable. I wish Stat would lean into her strikes a little more, but it seems like she's getting better. And she's one of the most reliable women on the roster when they need a good match out of Britt."
[4.0] "I did not like this match. The first half was was very slow with a lot of sluggish exchanges and mistimed spots. Then, coming back from commercial, they decided to run through MOVEZ and kickouts. This is the worst type of match in my eyes. No spirit behind it."
[9.0] "The only thing this match needed was a more decisive finish and maybe one big high spot. I'm not normally one to complain about the result if the match itself was good but it is hard to see Britt doing the favors in Brittsburgh. The roll-up win opens the door for a rematch and gives Stat the rub but I think there would have been no better time and place than in the first women's main event on Collision in Britt's hometown to do a title switch and contribute to the feeling that the title doesn't always have to switch hands on a PPV or at the culmination of a long storyline."
[7.0] "In one week, Statlander gave Jade Cargill the best match of her life, and the best match Britt Baker ahd in the entire year; that shows how good the TBS Champion is. Even that I don't really enjoy Britt in the ring very much, I can't deny that, no matter where she goes, crowds seems to love her. Good match. ***3/4."
[7.0] "A very good match for this women's main event (which is rare enough to highlight it at AEW). Probably one of Brit Baker's best matches, who if she is not the best wrestler knows how to make a good match with the right opponents and Kris Statlander seems to know how to make good matches with everyone! They knew how to create the suspense necessary for people to invest and react in favor of the underdog! Very Good !"
[7.0] "Really solid main event, easily the best Britt Baker's match in a while and it's mainly because of Kris Statlander, who's on the run of her life as Tbs champion. The crowd was hot for Baker, both women delivered good perfomances and the action was enjoyable. The closing stretch was great, I loved how the final minutes were unpredictable with an awesome nearfall and the false finish with the lockjaw. Since they were in Pensylvania I thought they were gonna give the title to Britt but they did the right choice by having Kris to retain. It was normal for most of the time but the final minutes were thrilling and elevated the whole match. 7/10 - 3.5*/5*"
[7.0] "Pretty standard for the most part, but the last few minutes were very intense and full of interesting transitions. Also, and this is relatively unusual in AEW, this was an unpredictable match, and both competitors had almost equal chances of getting the gold."
[8.0] "Kris Statlander is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best American wrestlers. In matches without stipulations, she again gave the best match of Britt Baker's career. When Jamie Hayter comes back, I really want to see Kris vs Hayter. Kris vs Shida would be a dream too."
[6.0] "Britt Baker is cold as ince right now and I assumed she was winning the belt in one of her many home towns to warm her back up, instead she takes another pin fall loss which was at least interesting. This match was fine but not sure I would have sent a crowd home down when you want to get them buy tickets next time the show rolls around"
[8.0] "Arguably the best Britt Baker non stipulation singles match ever? At the very least it's her best match since 2021. I've always been a Statlander believer but I honestly did not think Britt had this in her anymore. She doesn't need to be Manami Toyota she just needs do be consistently good enough, which she hasn't been for a long time. This was very good though, some great nearfalls, no botches, good sequences and a crowd that was involved. A pleasant suprise and a more than worthy main event for the show. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Kris Statlander has had a great two days of television, first leading Jade Cargill to her best match right as Cargill leaves the promotion, and here having arguably Britt Baker's best ever match (or at least Baker's best match that didn't involve weapons). I was half expecting to see a lot of orange and red on here like with most DMD matches, but thankfully not so far. Baker had her old college right behind her, but they weren't totally against Statlander either. I feared Hikaru Shida running in to turn heel, but that didn't happen, instead Statlander leveraged out of the Lockjaw and caught Baker for the pin. I liked Baker targeting Stat's knees, maybe leading to a retelling of the Orange Cassidy story with his Best Friends partner as she survives challenge after challenge, injury after injury."
