Osamu Nishimura vs. Yoon Kang Chul

[6.0] "The eternal rivalry goes on between these two even in this random ass indie show for a belt that's literally just the NWA design with a South Korean logo plastered on it lol. I'm not quite sure what they were exactly going for here; initially it felt more UWF-ish with the open-hand slaps and kicks, but then it becomes more of a classical catch kind of affair. Kang Chul seems to have plenty of Korean fans consistently chanting for him but I'll be honest; he's pretty non-descript here. Nishimura carries this immensely and he brings in a lot here with his mat-work, becoming a nightmare in how he consistently finds ways to bend and hurt Chul's arm. At one point he tried rolling out of a double wrist lock and Nishimura just is right THERE with a cross armbreaker, no delay whatsoever. Chul still kept trying, but Nishimura would be always changing positions so that didn't matter; incredibly badass work right there. They do mostly generic mat-work here though and Chul while shining in places felt like the most mediocre act: ok strikes and grappling but nothing stands out with the guy. He does some flips that barely land the mark as well which didn't help things. I feel like the (mostly) Korean pro-Chul crowd here help this a lot given they mark out to shit like a Butterfly Suplex and just regular moves, so they add a lot in terms of atmosphere, keeping the chants and cheers going for the guy as Nishimura goes though his usual performance and gets him over. The second part to this match is pretty much all Nishimura on the leg, so you kinda get what you expect in terms of that. Nishimura fires off a top rope knee drop in his late 40's pretty good though. They do the Sayama/Otsuka figure four roll off the ring spot. The finish is screwy as the hard camera doesn't catch what's going on at the side they are, so all we see is Chul landing some goofy strikes and rolling in to win via count out.....which gets him the belt, somehow? As stated, it's screwy and built to protect Nishimura. This is a supreme carryjob by the man to get this guy to a actual solid outing as he does most of the actual spots and moves alongside playing the subtle heelish vet beating down on the younger guy. Chul is as stated above not really good at anything, but he plays a decent enough babyface and can at least be led to better things. Nishimura can do these kind of matches in his sleep: that said, it's still a decent outing for that exact reason."
