[7.0] "I really enjoyed their match which they had a month earlier, although they couldnt quite reach that level here. They also went for a more hard-hitting match, especially in the last 5 minutes, as the last minute was really nuts in terms of intensity but also urgency, especially from Taichi who really wanted to get the win, but that might be also my only complain, that it lacked urgency in the earlier stages of the match, for example when they started out or when Taichi was behind on points, it didn't really feel like he could be bothered to catch up, until the end that is, as I said."
[7.0] "They've showed they can put on some very solid fights in that time span, but otherwise, that counting pinfalls shit isn't the thing I like the most. Pinfalls have to be rare in a wrestling bout, for me. Nevertheless, they told a good thing about it, that really peaked during the final minutes. They've kept the shit simple and that was maybe the best thing to do."
[7.0] "Shingo & Taichi have great chemistry. Unique concept, especially in the realm of NJPW, that with some tweaking could be an exciting stipulation to use occasionally."
[5.0] "I didn't like the rules. Shingo and Taichi are amazing wrestlers and in this match, they had good interactions. However, the booking and the interest were spoiled because of the rules, which were actually a bad idea."
[7.0] "Man I love these two together. My only problem with the match was the finish fell a little flat as I don't think anyone expected Taichi to get the points he needed with the Gedo clutch. If he'd pulled off the black mephisto with time expiring I think that would have added more drama. They should have also had more than 10 minutes. But very enjoyable stuff. ***1/2"
[7.0] "A fun stipulation that adds some more shine to mostly joke title (elevated largely by the two men in this match). Loved watching Taichi scratch and claw his way back from a big deficit. Takagi delivered as usual with big lariats and energy."
[7.0] "The KOPW trophy has been saved from cursed booking. After 2 fun matches between Takagi and Taichi, I think that the KOPW trophy is starting to build some steam and not be a joke championship. 7/10"
[8.0] "This was a fun match and it was interesting how close it got and really made the whole stipulation incredibly fun to watch. Takagi was the guy to win but Taichi looked strong coming out of this. ****"
[7.0] "An entertaining 10 minutes that brought some life back to the show after the four previous matches all failed to deliver much of anything to enjoy. The stipulation made every interaction crucial and Taichi and Shingo worked the match well. Kevin Kelly gushing over Miho Abe on commentary was amusing and didn't prevent him from properly calling the match."
[8.0] "A great sprint with such an interesting stipulation that brought a high sense of urgency from both wrestlers. Both went off the charts with insane offense and the chemistry was superb. KOPW is slowly getting its resurgence, and this might be the breakout match for the said title. I expect more of these interesting, engaging bouts from this division in the future. 4 out of 5 stars!"
[8.0] "Wonderful stipulation put on practice by these two. These 10 minutes felt pretty intense, and anyone at the end could have the most counts. It's great what New Japan is doing with this title. [****]"
[9.0] "This feud is the first time that the KOPW trophy was used in a creative and interesting way, and this was a terrific capstone to the feud. (****1/4)"
[7.0] "Very interesting type of match in which every move is very important and every kick feels like the last one. Shingo Takagi and Taichi saved this trophy from oblivion and came up with a cool type of match that can always be used in matches for the King Of Pro-Wrestling Championship. The match turned out to be tough and beautiful, I am glad that the fighters were able to take wrestling on a new interesting path even in such conditions."
[8.0] "Great concept and a really really fun match, the only match on the card that truly had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess who was gonna win. Glad to see KOPW doing well and no longer just being the Toro Yano cup. Hopefully they can keep up the level of excitement in the future that they were able to get in this match."
[8.0] "The only match on this show that I watched and I am happy I did. What a fun, heated sprint that was good from start to finish, with an exciting ending too. More stuff like this please."
[7.0] "This is a unique spin on the Iron Man rules. The rules were that each pin count would add to the score and whoever has the most by the end of the 10 minutes wins. Meaning each fall matters. And while it didn? t make for an amazing match, it made good use of the two guys while still leaving room for a more standard match. The match was able to create a decent narrative out of the point system with Shingo going 5 ahead, forcing Taichi to step up to try and equal the tally. The best part of the match was in the final minute where Taichi refused to stay down even for a one because he needed to stop the points gap. Eventually Shingo won by 1 point but it was a compelling story for Taichi. ***1/4"
[7.0] "This is probably the end to the KOPW feud between Takagi and Taichi, but it was probably the best KOPW feud ever. This was a super fun match despite its runtime. From the focus on counts being points to how exciting this match was, and the wrestling was really good. With how fun I had in this match, Im honestly going to elevate the rating. Easily the best KOPW Title match yet, and a super entertaining one. Takagi is the key to elevating this title, and hes already doing well. [*** 3/4]"
[7.0] "A match where both Taichi and Shingo Takagi's physical and mental state were pushed to the limits! It could've been better, obviously, but still is a pretty darn good match that gets you off your seat. The last minute is just absurdly awesome, especially when Taichi locks the Gedo Clutch and can't get enough pinfalls to win. Also, the crowd being white hot from end to end was great! ****"
[8.0] "Really good match under a unique rule. Both started in a slugfest and later showed great urgency at getting as many counts as they can. Shingo was in the lead for the most part and Taichi put on a great fight, loved the way he kicked out Shingo's sliding elbow at zero. The whole final minute was insane. I would love to see more matches conducted under this rule. 7.50/10"
[8.0] "A really creative, fun, and fast paced match here. They took the last 10 minutes of an Iron Man match and made a 10 minute match out of it, which didn't even really lessen the tension or excitement you'd get from the 50 minute build."
[6.0] "I am really enjoying this new page of KOPW's history. Shingo and Taichi are really giving some much needed fresh air to NJPW. The match was alright but the stipulation made it exciting."
[8.0] "This was sooo fun. Both guys killed it and Taichi coming this close to win was a great touch. Shingo has really brought another level to the kopw trophy and I hope he holds on to it for a long time."
[7.0] "The rehabilitation of the KOPW trophy has been great. This was super creative just like the first match and they played into the stipulation perfectly. They didn't just go for roll ups the whole match, they were methodical and intelligent. The finish with the Gedo clutch almost tying the match was awesome. Hope Shingo keeps this trophy for a while. Top tier creativity. ***1/2"
