El Desperado vs. Robbie Eagles

[7.0] "Pretty good main event, this revolved heavely around the limb work of each men, both targeted the others legs and the work itself was good and Eagles selling was fantastic, Despe's initially as well but towards the end he kinda forgor about it. While the work was good as I said, I think the type of match kind of hindered them to have truly phenomenal outing since at first they worked over each others legs and then they focused on their leg submissions, which was good, yes, but for me it never got so exciting as it should in order to reach the next level."

[8.0] "Another great performance put on by Eagles, as well as for Despy. A story of legworks while each man sold the other's work so well, even though each work was different. Desperado was agressive as hell wheras Eagles showed great resilience and was methodical. They've took pleasure to tore the other and hit as hard as they can the other's face. Despy and Eagles can't miss when they're on the same ring."

[8.0] "Good way to end this event. Robbie it's becoming one of my favorites participant of the tournament. What a dynamism to focus on different things on each match. In this one, the leg and the submission were tje standards to get the victory. Really nice. Good match. [****]"

[8.0] "Second best match of the tournament for me. Didn't have quite long enough in that high gear at the climax to reach the Eagles vs Phantasmo match, but still great. ****1/4"

[8.0] "Good match but still not great, the pace of the match was very very normal with no climax, that is the general problem of the tournament"

[8.0] "The fighters worked on the opponent's leg, but with different methods. Robbie Eagles and El Desperado already know each other very well, each used their strategy successfully and they did not have to doubt their work. As a result, it was the lottery that decided everything, where the fighters tried to seize the initiative in which Robbie, working correctly with strike strikes, dexterity and technical processing of the leg, was still able to take the necessary balls for himself in the tournament. El Desperado this time took a more limited strategy of fighting, for which he paid. The variety made the Australian's victory quite natural."

[7.0] "Really good match, but I'd not rank it among the best matches of this Best of Super Junior, unlike Hiromu/Yoh, Eagles/Yuta or Kanemaru/Hiromu. It was still interesting, Eagles and Despy both had a good selling during this match, and Eagles winning against Despy to still have a chance to win his block is an interesting story, and it gives us something else than just a block final between Despy and El Phantasmo. ***1/2"

[10.0] "Tremendous match between Robbie Eagles and El Desperado as every time these two wrestlers face each other no matter what the context, when they face each other you can be sure you're going to witness a certified banger as they're not able to offer bad content and even less so together, they had a lot of great matches in the past and I think this one is the best of their saga. For me this match ticks all the boxes to be considered as such, firstly because it was the main event and it lasted more than twenty minutes but also because the content was mind-blowingly perfect, I wasn't expecting anything as great as this and yet I just said I've seen all their matches before so that's how much this one really exceeded all the general expectations. Sometimes wrestling is so simple yet so effective, that's how I would describe this match which was mainly based on leg-work from both of them on each other and yet it was overflowing with quality. Everything about the attacks and the selling was done to perfection, all the moves were perfectly executed and every detail was important. This match is for me the best of the tournament just behind Eagles vs Phantasmo, I'm never disappointed with Robbie and Despy, absolutely never."

[7.0] "I don't have much to comment about this match, but I want to point out that this right here is their best match-up so far, and this was a pretty darn good match! The legwork from both men was great, and their selling was also on fucking point. This match has a strong thecnical display, but also some very cool looking strikes and bumps, turning this into a good mix of both styles. Really enjoyed watching it. ***3/4"

[8.0] "This was like a better version of their tokyo dome match with both guys aggressively working over the legs, but the improvement these guys have had over the past few years made this easily their best match together, great main event."

[9.0] "This was great, one of their best matches. They brought everything they had and even more. The leg work and counters were so good, the submissions even better. Their verbal selling was the best of the tourney. The finish was really well done. This just worked on every level."

[9.0] "A great main event match. I have a lot to say good about this one, really. First of all, this match probably had some of the greatest leg selling I have? EVER seen. I'd expect it out of Eagles and Desperado, since they? re the best at that easily. It was intimidating because the loser was eliminated and the winner was likely taking B Block. The story as well was one of the coolest aspects of this matchup. Moves were perfect, whether it be technical moves (primarily leg submissions) to strikes and some insane big moves being hit primarily by Eagles, this was an awesome match. I don? t think it? s in five star territory, but it? s definitely close. [**** 1/2]"
