[0.0] "17 minutes? 17 minutes for this match? Are you serious right now? I already hated this match for being trash, but giving this that amount made me hate this match even more. I hate Britt Baker and I'm not a fan of Thunder Rosa, they just had no chemistry here, it was non existent. It was sloppy and some moves didn't look good. I like their cage match more, sure it wasn't an all-timer, but it's better than this and better than their Lights Out match."
[5.0] "not a good match finish sucked and the match itself wasnt good either while i think both are good wrestlers in there own aspects they dont have much of chemistry other then the one match that aew loves which is the lights out one"
[7.0] "Just finished watching this for the first time. I do not get the low ratings for this one. Was it match of the year? No. But it was plenty good enough in it's own right. Definitely one of the better matches I've seen from Baker, enough to understand why they went with her at the top."
[3.0] "This was such a bad match between both women, they were never able to translate the personal beef they had in their rivalry into their matches, except for their AEW St. Patrick's Day Slam (2021) clash, and the in ring work and psychology displayed here from them, particularly from Britt was just bad."
[4.0] "Think its mad that based on these two names I preferred the Cargill match. I have no clue why this was on a PPV and their lights out match wasnt? This was just your typical Baker defence that Im getting pretty sick of at this point, especially when its up against one of their best talents in Thunder Rosa. Theres some good counters and spots here but buried inside some sloppy looking sequences."
[6.0] "Sure there are some clumsy spots, but nothing that should lower this match below a 5. This is a match that just has a very low ceiling as a result of Britt Baker's lack of athleticism and in-ring experience against tougher competitors. The more high-profile matches she has, the clearer it is that she's the product of a women's division that was really weak until the signings of Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, and Saraya later in 2022. This match is fine, but doesn't hold a candle to their lights out match the previous year."
[7.0] "Agree with Dave Meltzer in this case, because the match turned out to be quite good. In general, there is a certain chemistry between them and they work well in the match. In addition, they were given enough time. There were moments when you expect it to end, but the match continues, and there were also no particular clumsiness. In my opinion, a decent women's fight."
[8.0] "Rosa should have won (even though they're definitely putting the belt on her in San Antonio) but this was an exceptionally compelling, well-worked and narratively engrossing title match between two of the best in the company. Adored that final stretch and it succeeded at making me desperate to see Rosa get her big title victory over Britt, when I was totally fine with either outcome when the first bell rang. Gonna go down as criminally underrated because of this low score I feel."
[6.0] "A match that wasn't that bad, I point out that I watched it again without CM Punk Vs MJF just before. The public is still knocked out from the previous match and tries to timidly get over it throughout the match, it's not a gift for them to have placed them now. Rebel's distractions at the end are really annoying and the referee way too distracted. (3*)"
[4.0] "I've gotten pretty tired of the whole Britt Baker schtick, she's not bad in the ring and good on the mic but after so long of her matches following a pretty predictable formula it just started to grow stale. I thought this would be a better match and it wasn't, hard to follow up the match that came before it though."
[1.0] "So this match kind of made me uncomfortable. They were stiffing each other and not selling a thing, it was full of overbooking, and they had no chemistry whatsoever."
[4.0] "The only good moments in this match were: the avalanche air raid crash by Baker and Thunder Rosa's spear off the apron on Rebel, then this match is absolutely empty. For 17 minutes they exchanged bad moves, sloppy strikes, bad reversals and counters and bad sequences. I get that the crowd was dead and they were in the dead spot and this didn't helped tha girls but this match is still very bad and there are no excuses. 4/10 - 2.25*/5*"
[2.0] "Love this PPV but this match was the most disappointing match I ever had in my time watching AEW outside of the Exploding barbed wire deathmatch last year. The Rebel and Hayter distracting the stupid ref bit was super annoying and sucked a lot of the tension out of it, spots were clunky and slow as molasses which doesn't help after we had a match that was already slowly paced and my biggest issue of all was that for most of the match it made Rosa look like a geek, barely getting any offense in the first half of this and getting taking out with the title belt. MAJOR step down from both their Lights out match from last year and the CM/MJF match from beforehand. Also, there is absolutely no reason why britt baker needs to keep holding on to the belt outside of unnecessarily making thunder rosa's proper win on the 1 year anniversary of the lights-out match (which if that was the case DONT BOOK THEM TO FIGHT ON THE PPV JUST FOR ROSA TO LOOK LIKE A GEEK TONY)"
[7.0] "I think a lot of people got mad that Britt retained and let their bias play into their rating. I don't think it was a great match or anything but i think it was better than its been rated."
[8.0] "Slow, very slow start but by every few minutes the match gets better and better. Surprisingly the interferences added to the storytelling of this match."
[2.0] "Boring, heatless, overlong, uninteresting with no build up and the wrong winner. Yay. Who the fuck did we piss off to get an almost twenty minute Britt Baker match ffs? *."
[4.0] "Unfortunately, I found this match to be quite dull. The wrestling itself was fine but was also lacking energy. Something just felt off in this match. **"
[5.0] "This match was better that Cargill/Conti, but not a great one in my opinion. Good technical wrestling and storytelling from Britt Baker, but not enough in a title match."
[1.0] "If a single match can sum up everything wrong with Britt Baker's title reign, this would be it. Shotty in-ring work, generic heel outside help, knowing that San Antonio was only 2 weeks later made the result predictable and Britt did not do anything in the match to help suspend the disbelief. This would've been better off as a tag match building to the cage match"
[6.0] "This had a huge disadvantage having to follow the Punk/MJF Dog Collar fight prior, and you could tell this wasn't going to be anywhere near the level of their St. Patrick's Day bout from last year. Every move they did was met with a lukewarm response, and none of the nearfalls created could draw a pop. Jamie Hayter and Rebel made a late run-in which slightly woke the crowd up, but this eventually turned into a Britt Baker Screwfest as she retained once again to the crowd's silence. Although the incorrect outcome and the tepid environment knocked this down to a tee, the work from Baker and Rosa here was acceptably solid enough to make this watchable. I have to ask, though, why defeat Rosa here if you're gonna give her the hometown victory the following weeks anyway? [**3/4]"
[7.0] "Very good match. Did not realise this match had so much hate and for no good reason. Some people just really hate Britt and will trash anything she does. Not even close to being as bad as the rating suggests. I agree much more with Meltzers rating here. Solid work throughout and I get that some people found the interference from Britts group overdone but that's what warranted the cage match a few weeks later. As said very good match but did suffer from its placement in the card which i felt with a few of the other matches on revolution."
[7.0] "This was a good match, but it didn? t live up to their classic match on TV. Felt a little too long, and with a show filled with classic match, the crowd wasn? t as up for this one."
[2.0] "THIS WAS BOOOOOORING AND LOOOOOONG. Especially following the Punk and MJF epic this needed to be short and sweat but it wasn't. An excessive amount of interference made the ref look stupid. There was a stupid near fall where Britt curbstomped Rosa on the belt. She ended up pinning after a normal curbstomp anyway which was doubly stupid."
[2.0] "Another plodding Britt Baker PPV match. Britts title reign has been god awful, especially her matches. They have put her in the ring with some of the best women on the roster and she just cannot get out of her own way."
[3.0] "Largely uninspiring performance, which was highly disappointing, and the result was also disappointing. I realize they basicalkly held off on Thunder Rosa winning so she could win it in her home town, so why waste the time putting it on the pPV when these thing lasted 4 hours? I would have much rather been able to get to bed a bit earlier..."
[5.0] "Unfortunately the weakest match of the show, was hoping for much more considering their classic Lights Out match but Baker isn't very impressive in non-gimmick matches and too much interference spoiled the whole thing."
[2.0] "I like Britt the character. Has a great look, can talk, and feels like a star. In the ring is where a disconnect occurs. Even with a solid worker like Rosa, she can't keep her head above water for a near 20 minute match. These two had great chemistry in the hardcore match but it's starting to feel like that was lightning in a bottle."
[2.0] "Damn, this was so boring. I understand that they had to follow Punk/MJF, but it was so long and uninteresting. Baker's heel work was a chore to watch. She added nothing to the match. Rosa was slightly better but she could not save the match from being really bad. The same old interference only made the whole situation worse. It was a shame that this match was a low point in a fantastic show and sumps up the whole women division in AEW."
[3.0] "The booking for Baker's reign has been awful, not fun to watch at all. It's like the worse of NJPW's booking recently with House of Torture. Match itself wasn't too bad, if not a bit rough round the edges. But the same old interference shtick during the match ruined it"
[3.0] "Such a disappointement. I was so hyped since their last encounter but AEW went to some WWE shit where the heel's camp intervened everydamn time. This had some nice wrestling but that became overwhelming as Hayter and Rebel broke the thing. I fell asleep at the end."
[3.0] "This match was fairly boring and did not benefit from being immediately after MJF/Punk. It becomes a de facto intermission match, and Baker (while I think she's a star) is not good enough in the ring for 15 minute matches."
[4.0] "I really thought that this match will be THE match, but in fact no it was too basic and simple. For a rematch it's a bad one and the women really were better in their first match than this one."
[5.0] "Pretty flat for me and badly positioned on the card. A long awaited rematch from their epic lights out match from a year ago which not only made both women a star, but also got eyes on the AEW women's division, this match was marred by too much interference and terrible officiating as the referee seems to forget that he can just throw Britt Bakers goons out as we've seen in other matches. I have a feeling this is going to lead up to a cage match, but to set up a PPV match for it is a bit underwhelming."
[6.0] "Yeah, this wasn't great, obviously, but still presented something different on this show, so that is that. I think the problem with Britt is that they are expecting too much sometimes as far as match length goes. And I think Thunder Rosa is hit and miss. To me she has heel vibes. In the end, they had to follow the Dog Collar Match. And please, everybody stay out of f'n Florida for a long long time!"
[5.0] "Fine match overall, but not something I expected from wrestlers like them. They definatally can do better. It's obvious that Rosa is going to win the title at her hometown, but what was the purpose of this match then? We had a terrible amount of distractions, making it boring, as we already saw this exact outcome in almost very single one of the DMD matches. They really should've just given Rosa the title here or not have this matches booked in the first place."
[7.0] "not their best match and it was hard to follow after the dog collar match, but I really enjoyed the match and I think we'll get a rubber match with a huge stipulation (cage match maybe? )"
[2.0] "Worst match of the night. Thunder Rosa should be the new champion, Baker has become stale with the crowd and the reign has become old and boring. She? s been champion long enough, but that? s not the end of it; how is the referee going to get distracted 6-7 times by those at ringside and not boot them out? Any other time in AEW, it takes 1-2 times to boot a person after a distraction. Unrealistic, annoying match with the wrong result too. However, this match tells us a lot about how the AEW womens division functions, Baker is the Charlotte Flair of AEW."
[7.0] "People are being so harsh on this match. It was good back and forth action. These ladies performed well despite almost no build on tv prior. They worked well with the limitations they had. Not to mention this match was right after Punk vs MJF. Such a difficult spot on the card to be on. It was a decent match that was a solid 7 with some nice and varied offensive."
[6.0] "Expectations were not met. The girls seem to be able to work with each other and the expectations from the fight were not overstated, but still something is wrong. It seems that Britt and Rosa have not fully worked out the technique of movement and tactics of combat. Of course, the general impression was also spoiled by the interference and stupid behavior of the judge. It seems like everything is clear, but for some reason the interventions do not stop the whole fight. Dirty moves helped defeat Britt. By the way, the new design of the title is not bad, although I liked the last one. It was necessary to present it during the course of history, and not just like that. The content of the fight was better than the execution, for aew women this is a common problem."
[4.0] "Disappointing. At times it looked like they were moving in slow motion. DMD is clearly NO ring general, and I don't think she is a gifted athlete at all. I have seen Thunder Rosa wrestle many, many times outside of AEW, so she is not the one in question here. The constant shenanigans were everything that I hate about North American Mainstream wrestling and I don't like seeing the influence of it around the world, such as BULLET CLUB's House of Torture. This rivalry is pretty overrated, and these 2 can only have a great match WITH weapons. I reiterate: (1) Moving in slow motion. (2) No life to this match whatsoever (3) shenanigans by way of inference from non-participants. All of that combined makes for a bad match. You would have to be an idiot to call this match good."
[1.0] "Wow, what a lifeless match! They literally had nothing to say to each other, and their overrated hardcore match didn't help them in any way. In fact, it was a shame to watch this, and they failed the match from the very first minutes, given Britt's mediocre abilities for chain wrestling, and the presence of fire in their confrontation, which had to be immediately ignited at the beginning of the fight, as Jericho and Kingston did. They just went from spot to spot, the expression on Rosa's face showed that she didn't like it herself, and the terrible sense of timing for both killed impressions even from potentially cool moments. The ending has ruined everything. What an annoying waste of perspective enmity (1/2*)."
[3.0] "Honestly it felt like this match could have been good, but neither woman seemed to actually care for being in it. Had the makings of being something worthy of a title match but was just delivered with no passion, which made much of the match come off as sloppy, with either mistimed or half-hearted execution of moves. The swerve ending may well be some of the reason for this, with the decision to hold off on Britt giving up the belt to Rosa for a couple more weeks, this match had little reason to be on the card."
[8.0] "People are way too harsh. This was not so much worse than ALL the rest of the Revolution matches as this rating would imply. Also 'House of Torture' type shenanigans does NOT make it a 'bad' pro-wrestling match."
[3.0] "Never came close to the hype of the build or their PWI MOTY 2021. I appreciate Baker's love for professional wrestling but she was all kinds of sloppy here; Rosa did better. It was a poorly worked match and the shenanigans didn't help either. Overly long, convulated and sloppy. I expected so much more. *3/4"
