[8.0] "I don't watch a lot of shoot wrestling, but I loved this. Not too dry, there was the right amount of character work and visual storytelling to keep me engaged."
[8.0] "I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would, as I do not think the UWF format translates well to tag matches. But the exchanges between Minoru Suzuki and Yu Iizuka were so good, it was easy to overlook that."
[8.0] "Finally we get to see Suzuki show the type of wrestling he used to be known for. All four gave a very good performance. It was nice to see Iizuka's team, the underdog team, being able to fight back."
[9.0] "Real brutal match with great grappling exchanges, and great flurries of strikes from Iizuka. And grappling, like in this match, is a place where Suzuki is at his best. In general, a really good veterans vs rookies match."
[7.0] "***1/2 Very good tag match. Suzuki is a different beast under UWF rules, and finally he isn't being treated as a meme like in his NJPW matches. The rookies fought hard till they bled. Nice grappling exchanges."
[8.0] "I didn't supposed that bout to be that good. Suzuki and Sato beating the hell of young punks Izuchi and Iizuka as the youngsters had their time to put the vets in difficulty. Great grappling and strikes. The youngers took their beating like princes."
[9.0] "A violent tag match, featuring some awesome and vicious grappling by Sato and sheer aggressive violence by Lizuka. It was also another match featuring Suzuki, two in a row now with the other one from GLEAT, where I'm finally starting to love Suzuki once again."
[8.0] "Part of me was kinda scared that this would be a complete domination from the veterans, especially as it was the second match on the card, but thankfully it wasn't, Izuchi now as part of GLEAT, making a clear separation between the Pancrase veterans and the GLEAT youngsters. I'm kinda tired of Minoru Suzuki's matches, not that he's bad, but there always has to be a 5 minute interruption where they brawl outside and it's always the same and it's always boring, thankfully the UWF rules won't let him do that, still he sneaks a few moments which were actually good as it tried to stay within the rules, but the match was great, Izuchi and Sato starting the match and actually getting some nice grappling, instead of the veteran making the young guy go for the rope quick, the teams mixed up and everyone had nice sequences, the veterans were leading the match with no points lost until Suzuki used a punch making them lose a point, and for a while I thought that'd be their only point lost, but Iizuka got Suzuki with a kick to the head knocking him to the ground very surprising moment and very well done, of course the veterans won, but Izuchi and Iizuka still looked very good."
[8.0] "Great story told with the more experienced and skilled Suzuki and Sato dominating Izuchi and Iizuka in brutal fashion for most of the match. Iizuka looked great in defeat with his brief but impactful comeback against Suzuki."
[8.0] "These UWF matches, when there good, they really land that sweet spot. Im amazed with young talent on this roster and there all look they can handle themselves even against seasoned vets like Suzuki. Wish we had some more Suzuki here. little Irrelevant but after seeing him in DDT the day before, now this and all stuff he's done in NJPW and US over the year, he really convinced me that he is an all timer with his versatility like terry funk"
[8.0] "Suzuki is a lot more interesting these days when he's not in New Japan can be do fresh stuff. He was good here, but the real star was Yu Iizuka who is one of the best in the world these days. Izuchi was also a good pickup for GLEAT. And Sato's grappling with Iizuka was a lot of fun."
[8.0] "Fantastic tag team shoot-style match with Iizuka and Izuchi showing a ton of promise and Suzuki and Sato working a very tight submission grappling style that worked very well with their more energetic and athletic opponents. Suzuki did some of his usual shenanigans but kept it to a minimum. I liked how Iizuka managed to get a comeback on Suzuki before being tapped out by the Pancrase veteran. He looked strong in the process despite the loss. Really good stuff. ****1/4"
[7.0] "That was good. Hikaru Sato is, of course, a real ring general and Izuchi and Iizuki were really impressive. However, it was too short to be more than a good match."
[8.0] "This was a very good example of how well UWF rules tag match can be. All the work looked crisp as hell and realistic, Izuchi got the inside of his mouth busted open in a strike exchange. Suzuki does not do much but gets the win for his team at the finish"
