[8.0] "(Grade B+) Good showcase for both Eagles & Desperado, both trying to make each other tap and high flying close calls, wasn't expecting Desperado to win though nevertheless good match"
[7.0] "I loved the start to this match with the high flying and close calls. Seemed like things slowed down a bit closer to the end, but nonetheless a great match from Desperado and Eagles."
[8.0] "Desperado and Eagles had quite a chemistry, resulting to a smooth and fast-pacing action. Never bored by what I saw here. They know how to build quite a great bout as they did some cool submissions sequences as well as high-flying and more impactul ones. Good final strech as well."
[8.0] "I'm not the biggest Eagles fan but he did some great work here and meshed very well with Despy. Both guys worked very hard and sold the limb work excellently. ****"
[8.0] "Probably the best match of the show for me. They had a good match, told a good story, and didn't overstay their welcome. I'd quite like to see Junior matches be like this and be resolved in under 20 minutes. There's nothing wrong with the division being something complimentary to Heavyweight instead of an immitation of it. Relatively short and sweet is a good place to be for matches in this division so that they can add a different flavour to the card, and I think this did that very well."
[8.0] "Another good match. Robbie can work well as a sympathetic babyface and Despy's heel work was decent enough to make this match better. The leg work was nice although it was pretty inconsistent at times. It did pay off to the finish which I always appreciate. I did lose interest at some points but overall it was still enjoyable."
[8.0] "This was another damn good match between two of the best technical wrestlers in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The selling was fantastic, the offense all had a clear purpose, and there were some genuinely impressive moments and transitions from both competitors. A tremendous story of Robbie Eagles proving he is willing to dig deep like Desperado has been pushing him to. All in all, a highlight of the show. 4 stars, 8 out of 10."
[8.0] "An excellent Jr match here, Robbie Eagles and El Desperado both showed a great performance here in what was for me the best match of the show, and an even better match than their Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome bout. The legwork of these two was great, and the selling in this match was excellent from both men. Eagles yelling at the end because of Desperado's submission was an emotional moment, as the win of Desperado with a bit of a redemption since he lost his two titles. ***3/4"
[6.0] "This improved as it went on but I thought this was mediocre for the most part. I like Eagles for the most part, same with Despy, but there were periods where they didn't really catch my eye. The work on the leg was a fine story to tell, consistent with a few of their other matches but they failed to make it compelling. The crowd got behind Eagles, who can work a crowd in his favour, especially at the end, at least. The closing stretch had some good exchanges and selling. The title change was a shocking result and the match finish helped with that. ***"
[8.0] "Really liked them working over each other's legs, and some great back and forth, counter wrestling, especially towards the end. Trapping both arms to finally make Eagles submit in the Numero Dos was cool."
[8.0] "Really good match between Eagles and Desperado here as usual when these guys compete for this title, their matches are never anything special but they're always good little well-worked wrestling matches as we like to see with two performers like them. The big highlight of this match was obviously Desperado's leg-work mixed with the fighting spirit of Eagles and it made for a pretty fun mix, the crowd was invested in the action and everything was really qualitative which made it one of the best matches of the week. I just don't understand the result which leaves me disappointed as the booking is really strange, why would Eagles lose his title to the one he dethroned when he was only on his second defence. He didn't even have time to prove himself when he could have had a lot of cool matches given the well-stocked roster, shame."
[8.0] "Good match. At first the Psychology was poor. Soon it improves. Match quality was good as others. A title change, dont know is it a good decision or not. But match was fine. (***3/4)"
[7.0] "Another good match on the show, but I liked their summer match more. This time, the first half of the match seemed to me too "viscous" and, besides, Robbie sometimes overacted. But like last time, there were great selling and Despy is always fantastic. ***1/2"
[8.0] "The leg work in this match was great, the selling was absolutely great, especially from the 450 from Robbie Eagles. I thought it was a pretty good title change. ****"
[8.0] "This match was great, it revolved around both guys working on each others leg, thiy did this in a good way, as they also sold lovely, especially Despy. His selling of the leg after the got his knees up to counter Robbie's 450 was great, it seemed like that he was genuinly in pain. The ending stretch afterwards was fantastic, as Despy logically won with his submission. I'm sad that Robbie lost but also happy for Desperado."
[8.0] "Great match. First 10 minutes were awesome, it kinda fell off a bit between the 10-15 minute mark and then the last 2 minutes were great again, enjoyed both men's leg work. Wasn't expecting the title change. ****"
