Uemura looks better and better all the time, physically and as a worker, and the sight of a Young Lion actively courting a beating from Suzuki does wonders to put him over with a crowd that already likes him. Suzuki remains the master of making everything he does look like it hurts, making the most of briefer match lengths. Great storytelling here along with a concise display of how even fundamentals can look terrific and compelling when done with personality."
[6.0] "Enjoyable undercard match the impressive taking the fight to Suzuki ultimately copping a beating both DOUKI and Tiger Mask played their parts as well."
[8.0] "The Match of The Night. These exchanges between Suzuki and Uemura were the best. They completely stole the show. Tiger Mask screwed up his Tiger Bomb, but besides that, everything else in this match was great."
[7.0] "I really enjoyed this. Yuya showed a lot of fire against Suzuki even before the match began, and he paid for it. A very simple and well-told story. Douki was good too, TIger mask was alright. Can't ask for much more in an early tag match on New Year Dash. ***1/4"

[7.0] "This was way better than it had any right to be and a testament to how incredible Suzuki still is, as well as how bright of a future Uemura has in pro wrestling. Uemura came out of the gate with fire, initially overwhelming DOUKI with his speed and going right after Suzuki. Any stuff here between Uemura and Suzuki was great, the knowledgeable, strike-savvy, pissed-off veteran just murdered Suzuki while Uemura tried to counteract his own murder by working much faster and throwing in as many strikes and moves on Suzuki as possible, even almost putting Suzuki in the Boston Crab, which would've been a great moment and I hope they pay that off at some point down the line. DOUKI was good here too, even though he and Tiger Mask weren't really the centerpiece of this match, he worked well whenever he was in there, throwing in some slick lucha-influenced sequences. Unfortunately Tiger Mask underwhelmed, as he so often does in the twilight of his career, slowing the pace of the match down and contributing a couple botches, but he wasn't in there for a majority of the match. Basically what I'm saying is I'm dying for Suzuki vs Uemura. Make it happen Gedo. ***1/2-"
[6.0] "A pretty solid tag match. The story revolved around Uemura standing up to Suzuki, which was interesting. This match featured some stiff strikes from Uemura, Tiger Mask, and especially Suzuki. ***1/4."
