608.03.2024Burning V Sternness4.0This was okay, although the crowd didnt really get into the heat segment that much. Bigelow should have probably had a couple more near falls on Goldberg before eating the pin, especially in how decisive the finish was. There was zero doubt as to who the better man was here, and Bigelow was kind of done as any kind of a top level attraction following this, although he was a solid part of the mid-card for the rest of his WCW stint. I think that if they hadnt delayed on this for as long as they did and if theyd had a more back and forth brawl in the match itself, then this could have been a bigger deal. Still, a babyface won clean with their finish, so Ill take it

918.11.2023BrianRichterX72.0I did enjoy the spectacle around it with these two big guys going at it. Loved the staredown and the couple of moves that were done here. That doesn't mean it was anywhere near a decent in-ring match. The middle of the match with the holds I didn't like. So this just gets a *1/4 from me.

1601.03.2023hfield076.0well crafted match that played to both men's strengths and did everything it needed to. Work rate matters very little with a good crowd and two wrestlers who know how to tell the story they were there to deliver. ***1/4
1727.02.2023Hypocrisy6.0Hier ist doch ein Unterschied im Standing spürbar. Bam Bam Bigelow kann hier versuchen was er will. An einen Sieg glaubt vermutlich nicht mal er selbst. Schade.... er wurde als Gefahr für Goldberg in der WCW eingeführt und wurde doch nur völlig chancenloses Opfer.

1922.01.2023Jesse Bedlam6.0A solid match that shows off the best and worst of these two heavyweights. The start and finish of this match when these wrestlers trade and threaten big moves is some exciting stuff, and Bigelow does a great job at making Goldberg look great. However, the middle stretch when Bigelow is wearing down Goldberg on the mat is incredibly tedious and seemingly drags on forever. ***

2322.09.2022CLUCK2.0this is boring match for me, it hard to tryna focus to this match because it's really boring to watch
2408.07.2022Derek Joists4.0Goldberg should never be in a match this long, especially against someone as slow as Bigelow was by this point. A dull, unnecessary match.

2619.04.2022mjp287.0Solid match, which offered more of a brawling style than some of Goldbergs prior matches. Weak points were that it got a bit slow at times and Goldberg hit a pretty weak Jackhammer to finish. That said I felt the match and feud in general was a complete waste of time. I could never understand why Goldberg went from being WCW World Champ and the most over thing in all of Wrestling (alongside Steve Austin) to feuding with Bigelow. Imo Bigelow should never have been forced into a feud with Goldberg when he arrived in WCW (typical WCW overbooking) and Goldberg instead should have been having a return match with Kevin Nash at this event (rather than 4 months after his title loss at Spring Stampede).

2918.03.2022TigerDiver4.0This was a mostly dull but acceptable hoss match. Bigelow is a good big man, but not great, and he's not going to carry Goldberg to something worthwhile. His control segment was pretty plodding, mostly holds that led to nowhere. Billberg made his usual exciting comeback for the win. [**]
3022.02.2022Garmonbozia5.0They lock up, then Goldberg shows dominance. Bigelow works on the legs of Goldberg. Finally Goldberg hits the spear!
3123.08.2021Shibata975.0It's always impressive to remember how over was Goldberg at that time. Every move he make, the crowd cheers, and when came spears and Jackhammer they look like Beatle's groupie in the sixties. So it really wasn't a surprise to see that Bam Bam didn't get to much of the light in this one. After being hardly dominated by Goldberg, he decide to attack is knee which is quite a good booking, showing that even a big badass men like the Beast from the East cannot challenge him at the powerhouse game. A long sleeper some headbutt on the knee and a nice diving headbutt later and it was game over after two spear and one impressive Jackhammer. Good storytelling but not a great match. [52] ** 1/2
3222.03.2021Loki Hipster God6.0Goldberg looks super impressive here, throwing Bam Bam around like a ragdoll and making it look easy. The match slows down when Bigelow goes on offense as he works over the leg, which is a smart strategy because taking out Goldberg's leg would make it more difficult for Goldberg to execute the Jackhammer. Bigelow then puts on a ridiculously long sleeper hold. I'm not sure why he put on a sleeper hold when his gameplan was to attack the leg, but it's a boring spot that completely takes the crowd out of it. I actually had the match rated at a 7 before this spot knocked it down to a 6. Thankfully things pick up after and we get an exciting finish. This was ultimately a solid hoss battle, but could have been improved with some time shaved off.
3325.11.2020Mizzle Assault Ant8.0This match of big men is honestly excellent for what it is, Bigelow is a little past his peak but still bumps around for Goldberg admirably, and Goldberg is working extra hard at this time. More evidence of the continued value of Goldberg.
