[7.0] "Not as good as their previous match but a lot of fun nonetheless. The Ishii vs SHO encounters were the highlight here, would love to see them go at it for the NEVER Openweight title down the line. ***3/4"
[7.0] "This match felt like a step below their previous encounter a month back. There is another excellent SHO vs Ishii stand-off and I? m enjoying their budding rivalry. At one point I really thougt SHO pinned Ishii after a Straightjacket Piledriver. Fun match for what is essentially a house show, I guess."
[7.0] "I agree this was a step-behind the same match a month prior, but it's still a solid encounter that succeeded in upping fans' investment in Sho. Yes, he was the MVP of the contest, but he was also scripted to be. Ishii got the duke, here, because it would be counter-productive to have Sho pin Ishii just prior to the G1 in which Ishii will most likely emerge with a losing record. What stood-out and moved me was Sho's deep admiration for, what I assume, are the physical, etc sacrifices Ishii has made to NJPW. When I saw that deep-bow it took me back to Ishii/Okada II from the NJCup '19 in which even this top guy offered the same deep-bow to Ishii-san in-a-sign of almost an apology as everyone realizes Ishii (has) deserves/d a bit more than what he will get, yet he'll never be allowed to headline a major show such as NJPW at MSG. Sure, they did the same group-hug, raise-all-our-hands gimmick they did in the previous month, but more vital to me was how clear Sho looks-up to who, who hopefully will never be, the forgotten great."
[8.0] "Not quite on the level of the previous match between these six, but still great mostly due to the mini singles match between Ishii & SHO contained in this. Yano by his standards bumped a bunch here, Okada once again worked hard to make YOSHI-HASHI get a spotlight, and there was just tons of fun stuff scattered throughout. ****"
[8.0] "This was an match that was mainly action where SHO and Ishii focused on each other thoughout the match maybe even a bit to much and Yano took this match more seriously than he does most of his matches. ***3/4"
[9.0] "Yes. All Kinds of Yes. I believe this slightly outdid their first match at the end of the tournament for the belts. Sho once again was the MVP by a mile. ****1/4 Chaos shows they have no problem beating the holy hell out of each other and seeing the hug from ishii at the end of the match was the cherry on top. Great match"
