Big Swole vs. Dr. Britt Baker DMD

[0.0] "This was just bad bad, Rebas yelling, the match even happening, the match itself was badly wrestled just bad all around"

[4.0] "I legitimately don't know what to score this because it's awful, but in a so bad it's good way. Some of the worst acting I might have ever seen and some legitimately baffling ideas were in this one, but I don't regret watching it because I was laughing in confusion the whole time. Reba yelling that Big Swole stabbed Britt Baker was one of the most melodramatic things I've ever seen, Britt Baker saying "This is my house, you're in my world, and I'm a dentist! " is one of the dumbest lines of dialogue ever, and even the action itself was way more silly than good. This can't have helped the 2020 AEW women's division, which had already suffered disaster after disaster before this, but I at least wasn't pissed off by it like I was the Nightmare Collective."

[0.0] "This is one of the worst matches I have ever watched, the stipulation was stupid, to have this open a PPV was stupid, and the actual match in general was stupid. There is nothing at all that I liked from this match."

[4.0] "A match ahead of its time. No, seriously, this was pretty much the same thing "Timeless" Toni Storm did: the same bad acting and absurdly staged action scenes, "cartoonish weapons, " etc. Only in 2020, this match was panned by everyone and their dog. These days, Toni Storm's cinematic matches are all the rage. But to me, they're on the same level. I tried to like it, but... no. Not my cup of tea, sorry."

[1.0] "Right this is just plain bad to the point it made me laugh out of sympathy for them the acting when Swole is walking around is so cringe its funny. The action was slow and had no weight, Reba was just cringe as fuck. The fact this was a pre taped cinematic match and this was the best take they got is actually quite funny might be one of the worst PPV openers i have ever watched. (1/4*)"

[6.0] "I was genuinely shocked when I saw the rating for this match. Was it a good, technical wrestling match? Hell no. It was a fun brawl though. Swole winning by putting Britt to sleep with gas was genuinely funny as was Reba attempting to defend Britt with the water. I found this to be a really entertaining hardcore match that reminded me of attitude era backroom brawls. Truly don't understand the hatred for this one"

[1.0] "This is one of the worst things I have ever seen. It doesn't even verge on being in a 'so bad, it's good' category. It's just diabolical. The Covid period was wild and cinematic matches became more common, but this probably the worst one I have ever seen. The fact this was filmed, in advance, and everybody involved nodded and said "yup, this is fine and worth putting on PPV" is hilarious."

I'm a sucker for "cinematic" on-location matches, but this one was just disappointing. It neither did anything interesting with the format nor showed off the talents of either star. Both women deserve better than this sort of material."

[3.0] "The action was decent and the story of this match was a standard underdog angle for Swole but the acting was really, really lame. Reba is still not destined to be an on-screen character because of her sloppy wrestling & poor acting skills. Baker & Swole's action somehow made this watchable but it wasn't the greatest. Grade: C+"

[4.0] "I don't think it's as bad as some other comments have made out, but it wasn't exactly going down in history either. I think it was really held back by the small office/set they used. Too often the camera work was shoddy because there simply wasn't room to maneuver within the building. I think this would have been far better as a stand-alone segment in a build-up or actually just setting up some of the dentist equipment around the ring. I did enjoy the joker-esque start and the silly chattering teeth. I even laughed at the gas putting Britt out, but ultimately just too limited to get off the ground."

[6.0] "I think this match deserves a better rating, it was fun to watch, the length was approppiate (neither too long or too short) and both females tried to be innovative using the dentist stuff in the match, and overall it worked for an opener match."

[4.0] "It isn't any good. The technique, the pacing as well as the camera work was very amateurish. But I still like the structure of the match. Baker keeping up with her heelish antics and Swole has nothing on Baker who is one of the most talented female Wrestler of AEw. **"

[2.0] "A cinematic match not very exciting, compared to what the WWE offers us. It's not even up to the Swamp Fight level of WWE Extreme Rules. A match that will be quickly forgotten."

[2.0] "A very poor match and wasnt needed . I thought Britt was going to be used as a potential competitor in AEW but this just made her look really bad. Overall a really really bad match and i would totally reccomend skipping this part."

[6.0] "I had fun! Weird for an opener though. Britt and Reba still rule. When the latter came back with a banana skin on her head, it was perfect comedy. I like ridicilousness in my wrestling especially in a long show with long matches."

[4.0] "This was preshow quality and definitely not something that should be on the $50 slate. Maybe Tony & co shouldn't cave to fan pressure all the time and stick with their guts next time?"

[4.0] "This match might not have been good but had a few good laughs. It also allows both Britt Baker and Big Swole to move on and be potential challengers for Shida!"

I can only give my own reaction, I thought this was funny and creative and I think the strength of the feud was good enough to put it on the main show. I'll say this though, even if I did like it, it's clear many did not, and that tells me AEW still has a whole lot of investing they need to do in their women's division."

[1.0] "I can't believe this match was put on the main card let alone start off the show, this is not a kickoff show type of match, this deserved to be on the preshow, if all out is the equivalent to WWE's WrestleMania, this match should have never kicked off the show, Owen vs Bret highly regarded as the best match to have kicked off a WrestleMania, that is how you kick off a show a big show, ALL Out is too big of a show to have Big Swole vs Britt Baker as the opener. And I love Big Swole, I think she has potential but she's not ALL Out main card material. Britt Baker has been overhyped since day one, she's still good, but not ALL Out main card material, the ALL Out card should be worth fighting to be on, while Britt Baker and for the most part Big Swole haven't been wrestling for the majority of this build. 1/10, 2 at most."

[6.0] "short but fun match, good use of the cinematic match, I enjoyed it. Obviously Britt Baker was just returning from the injury so she had to be protected, it worked fine in the end. Very smart ending. Hopefully we'll get another match, a normal one, in this feud"

[1.0] "This poorly edited match failed as a blowoff to one of the better feuds in AEW. The only reason that it doesn't get a 0 from me is that I laughed once, and I don't even remember why I did."

[6.0] "This match was no technical masterclass, but it wasn't meant to be an it was a fun blowoff to a feud that was kinda silly from the start. Don't agree with this as an opener to the show, but I still found it pretty enjoyable: ***."

[8.0] "Honestly what is wrong with y'all. This was so much fun. Great brawling throughout, and she used a needle as a weapon! Anaesthesia was used in a wrestling match! That rules! I don't know, this was 100% the right choice to be on the main card."
