[6.0] "I enjoyed this, and thought it was a fun opener. Two young guys (or Lions you might say) going out their with a chip on their shoulder, and in my opinion they delivered a solid bout. Iizuka won the match here but while I enjoyed both guys here I found myself even more impressed by some of Matsuda's offence."

[4.0] "It is a Young Lions match, it is the same as it is in 2024 as it was 1990. It was nice enough but more interesting of a snapshot of where these two were in this point in time than an actual match."

[5.0] "Ganz oker Opener, die bei New Japan halt immer Young Lions, oder alte Veteranen sind. Kannte keinen der beiden Männer, sodass die klare Farbtrennung mit rot und blau sehr hilfreich war. Die kleine Story mit der Dominanz vonTakayuki am Anfang, nur damit Osamu sich temporär zurückkämpft war ganz nett. Da dies Young Lions sind, gab es charakterlich / gimmicktechnisch nicht viel aber genug um einen durch die ca. 10 Minuten zu tragen. Nicht ganz so heiß, aber die Intensität der wirklich schön deuchgeführten Aktionen bringt das Publikum zum Ende hin in das Match rein. War ganz ordentlich."

[4.0] "A pretty standard young lions match, which are going to be largely the same across the generations. Still, it's well-worked, with both men showing some serious intensity, and it's particularly entertaining to see Iizuka being a bog-standard Young Lion type knowing the monster he'd eventually become. A nice historical artifact, a pretty forgettable match."

[6.0] "This is a quite good young lions match that brings a lot of intensity in front of a quiet crowd that really gets into it by the end. This isn't going to be the best match you'll see from New Japan this year, but it's a well worked match that's worth your time."
