It can't really get going because so many guys are eliminated in a minute or two, which kind of makes a lot of people feel weak. They honestly should have just made it a fatal 4 way match or something. I also feel like Helms losing wasn't really given the attention it should have. He was champion for over a year, which was VERY uncommon in the 2000's, but he lost in and they were like "all well, can't grieve forever! " They kind of sacrificed the shocked reaction of him losing for the surprise of Chavo. Jimmy Wang Yang gets over pretty nicely in this match, but he can't seal the deal. This was a fine match, but the structure of the match killed a lot of excitement and drama that should have went behind it. |

Overall the match was fine, and I get you don't wanna do heel v heel to put the title on Chavo and it was time to move on from Helms, but Jimmy Wang Yang being the guy... idk |

Helms vs Hotty, liked how aggressive they made Helms out of the gates. Good action throughout. Funaki vs Helms was quick but effective for Helms. Moore vs Helms was good Moore looked more credible then his first two opponents. Yang vs Helms, good action and big upset for Yang. Noble vs Yang was very good as well with these two vets putting on a show a giving the fake out big upset ending. Chavo vs Yang, another good matchup with the obvious winner. Overall, all the action in the match was good but wish they had someone beat Helms 1 v 1 after him having such a long reign. |
