"[6] Accidentally deleted my previous review, but in short: they gelled well, Ishii stepped up his pace nicely, and I'm continuing to enjoy the build of Andrade."

[9.0] "The best match on a somewhat flat Collision, but don't think the praise is too faint because this turned out to be a great first time singles meeting between two veteran talents. Andrade continues his hot run in his AEW return, I'm extremely glad it has worked out so well thus far. Ishii at 50(! ) years old at times moves like his joints are fused together by stone, but his aura is still tough and his hits are still hard so honestly I'm not sure it really hampers him very much. Andrade's charisma was shining brightly and he used his superior speed and agility effectively to chip away at Ishii's impressive defenses without taking too much damage himself, except of course when Ishii did catch him and then he got appropriately flattened. Only two complaints really, Ishii still cannot stop himself from throwing at least one dodgy headbutt in the mix, and I guess at this point it's silly to think he'll ever stop. I just don't care for the spot and I think Ishii is plenty good enough to ditch it, but if he wants to bash his brains around for nothing I guess I can't stop him. The other is that Don Callis was particularly bad on commentary for this match, ranting to the point of distraction about how erotic he thought Andrade's body was. It's really tiresome that he seemingly considers himself the modern Bobby Heenan when he's both awful at commentary and also never generates any heat for his wrestlers, only for himself, and I can't recall the last time he took any kind of bump or comeuppance. Ok, putting that aside it was a great TV match and well worth taking the time to watch."

[8.0] "A little statistic: this was their first match together. Ishii was undefeated this year before the match. I like the story between Andrade and b3cca these past few weeks. The post-match hype is selling the Andrade-Bandido match."

"[4.0] Andrade is hungry and thirsty lol. Don callis is a cringe carney . Styles clash lot of nonsense. Solid finish kinda saved it."

[10.0] "Never would've thought this was a very first time ever encounter between these guys here, that pretty crazy honestly to be fair, thought the could've crossed paths at some point within the last 10-15 years, especially in the singles division, they had 2 different tag team matches in NJPW, but this was the one and only so far 1v1 matchup, goated main event I'd say for collision."

[8.0] "Really good match here for Andrade to come up against someone credible that can logically take a pin without losing too much. Really entertaining mix of styles here, Ishii truly is timeless. Andrade also with some really fun character work with b3cca."

[9.0] "Very good main event. Andrade has been excellent since coming back, and Ishii was really good. They made for a cool pairing and a fun Collision main event."

[8.0] "Good match. Andrade is having a hell of a run this year and feels like one of the most exciting wrestlers in the world"

[7.0] "I rated it a 7.0 Andrade came out to almost no reaction beyond a few polite claps, while Tomohiro Ishii received a modest entrance response that quickly grew into loud "Ishi! Ishi! Ishi! " chants once the bell rang and later dueling "Let's go Ishi / Idolo" support. The match's defining moment was an incredible sequence where Ishii drilled Andrade with a German suplex, Andrade instantly popped back up to throw a punch, and Ishii cut him off with a savage headbutt that flattened him in the matches, best exchange. Andrade's swagger gradually won the crowd over with the Tranquillo pose in the ropes and his ringside photo gimmick, while Don Callis added awkwardly hilarious commentary by raving about Andrade's physique. The action stayed explosive, from Andrade's gorgeous dropkick and double-jump moonsault for a near fall to his counter of Ishii's spinning backfist into the Three Amigos and a running double-knees sequence in the corner. In the end Andrade sealed it with The DM to score the win, capping a match that started cold but built into a hard-hitting, bout."
