[6.0] "This match did exactly what it was supposed to do. Showcase Andrade and give him some character direction. And take a shot at Charlotte Flair which is always enjoyable."

[6.0] "My Rating: 6.0. Magnus got almost no reaction on his way to the ring, while Andrade received a slightly better response, though still nothing major. The crowd did get lively with chants, especially a loud "Take your shirt off, " and when Magnus finally obliged the fans lost their minds like it was Chip 'N Dales, somehow even louder than when Andrade later gave in to chants for him to take his pants off and actually did it. Andrade teasing a figure-four drew a few scattered "wooo's" from the audience, and my favorite spot of the match was Magnus hitting a suicide dive that sent Andrade crashing into the announce desk, which was excellent. Andrade leaned fully into classic heel behavior, taking a selfie with a woman mid-match and giving her his number, removing his glove to show he wasn't wearing a wedding ring, teasing the crowd by pretending to throw them his shirt, stealing a fan's hat, and even pulling Magnus up before the three count when he clearly had the match won. Magnus did land a solid running kick to Andrade's head, but in the end Andrade finished things with the DM to pick up the victory."

[6.0] ""Actually, I'm gonna change it to 0". lol the dude below me sounds like such a dork bro every match doesn't have to be some storyline progressing, number 1 contender, million dollar on the line wrestling match. There's other companies for that. This was pure wrestling between two guys who have great chemistry together with Andrade adding in hilarious crowd work even as a heel. Anyways I loved that if you were watching on U.S. TV then after it came back from commercial Andrade had no pants on and was in completely different gear. Him being the heel in this match but the crowd still cheering for only him was great. I liked this match in it's entirety"

A super slow paced squash match where dude strips. I genuinely think I'm crazy for the 1 I'm giving it. Actually, I'm gonna change it to 0."
[3.0] "I don't know what to think of this really. It was hilarious seeing Andrade straight up Aura farming and taking pictures with someone at ringside. But from a work rate perspective it's absolutely awful. I'm hoping they have Andrade do something serious soon."

[6.0] "Not much of a match to be honest I would rate it lower but Andrade was having the time of his life here. This new Mexican divorced Rick Rude version of Andrade is alot of fun and this is the most I have seen him ever play to the crowd and actually have them in the palm of his hand. I look forward to see what he does next because this feels like the most locked in Andrade has been since Black and gold days."

Eytexi wrote on 27.01.2026:
[2.0] "This was quite painful. Complete domination, but at a plodding pace and over a really long match. Magnus didn't push Andrade to try, and Andrade looked ineffective given he was unable to put the match away despite having absolute control. What all the undressing stuff was about is beyond me; it brought pops from the crowd despite the fact it was clearly supposed to change his presentation as a heel, and made Andrade look like a glorified comedy act rather than the exceptional competitor which he is. This was really poor."

InfiniteWick wrote on 27.01.2026:
[8.0] "High rating but in the arena this was godly. Andrade is the definition of someone having the crowd in the palm of their hand. He basically stripped for us and the crowd ate it up. He didn't throw his stuff into the crowd despite everyone wanting him too, but that just made him the more fun to watch. He seemed cooler. Magnus doesn't get much to do here and that's alright, it was Andrade's match! He makes a bit of a comeback near the end but it's too late. Will never be a four star on TV but at the show, on the floor, it was so good. Not a 5 just because of it not being the greatest in terms of the action. [****]"

[5.0] "This was fine, did what it was supposed to do but was just a squash match dragged out. At least Andrade looked good though."
GimliJr wrote on 26.01.2026:
[4.0] "A long squash match that didn't showcase Magnus's abilities. Andrade has a compelling persona, but the match itself was somewhat disappointing from a wrestling standpoint. In-ring quality: 0.75/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 0.5/1. Placement on the card: 1/1. Suspense: 0/1. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 3.75/10. Match viewed on Triller TV."

[6.0] "I would have given this match a 7 since both them did a solid job, but I give a 6 because why did Andrade go from usual attire to after a commercial break, he's all of a sudden in speedo style tights? No commentary explanation or anything. I was like what the f___ lol (doubt you can swear on here)"

[6.0] "Honestly this match was pretty good to me and well entertaining and we need Andrade working ever match as a stripper as it was some of the best crowd work i have seen in 2026 helps he has come back built like a fucking Greek god and shredded to fuck. The match itself was just pretty nice a short 10 minute match cleary put together on the fly due to them having to tape collision on Wednesday last minute due to bad weather in Texas. Magnus is just a body to eat Andrade's offence and jsut sell his ass off which he did to be fair to the lad. Yeah Andrade has looked great so far this year and is clearly locked in both in America and Japan which excites me as he had some nice offence and great crowd work. Overall just a pretty fun match the crowd loved thanks to great work by El Idolo. (***)"

[7.0] "I thoroughly enjoyed Andrade's antics and playing to the crowd in this match. I think those things are exactly what he needs to do to stand out from the crowd of great wrestlers in the company and present himself as something more than just another good wrestler, and show that this run will go better than the last one. As a wrestling match it wasn't anything special but I was still entertained."
Keithnelson18 wrote on 25.01.2026:
[1.0] "Why was this so long? It should've been a simple squash match with Andrade winning looking dominate. However, what we got was a very long and boring matchup. The only memorable thing about this was Andrade listening to the fans by taking his shirt and pants off, plus Andrade seemingly giving a fan his freaking phone number. Besides that, this plotted way too long."
krissy13 wrote on 25.01.2026:
[3.0] "What an absolutely abysmal way to re-debut a wrestler - especially when new fans have never seen him before. And the obvious plant in the crowd where he gives her his number is so cringeworthy. Why do CMLL let there wrestlers look like a joke on Collision over and over?"
MaveDeltzer wrote on 25.01.2026:
[3.0] "Some of Andrade's antics were entertaining in this but the entire match felt like an ad break segment. Magnus was a non-factor in the match, essentially an afterthought to Andrade showboating and interacting with the crowd."
LincolnAntoine4482 wrote on 25.01.2026:
[5.0] "A showcase for Andrade who has came off as a main event level talent immediately. He has all the tools and hopefully he nails it against Swerve. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of the work in the match though."
mateofuerte wrote on 25.01.2026:
[6.0] "This was a decent house show style match, with Andrade essentially working a middle-aged divorced stripper gimmick for some reason, but it worked great for this crowd. Magnus has never been impressive to me, so I didn't mind Andrade messing around a bit with this match."
Dragon Master Adam wrote on 25.01.2026:
[7.0] "Why is this rating so low? The aura in this match was insane and did so much for Andrade's image in AEW since coming back. He's not just a "good wrestler" he now has a personality and a connection with the crowd. Great stuff from Andrade. The in-ring was solid too."
urrklz878 wrote on 25.01.2026:
[6.0] "Andrade spent most of the early minutes of the match working the crowd, which was in their fourth hour of watching wrestling at this stage, and he did a good job of getting them invested in the match. It then went on a bit too long with him faking out a few too many pins but was otherwise an effective bit of character work."
Ariak wrote on 25.01.2026:
[7.0] "Masterclass in Andrade doing a great arrogant dickhead heel performance. Basically ignored Magnus most of the match to just mess around and aura farm, it rocked"
Agaren wrote on 25.01.2026:
[3.0] "Shallow and pedantic match with a lot of plotting and jot dogging. The issue is that this wasnt a short little squash, it was a full match..i did not enjoy this at all. It felt like they hadn't prepared for the match, very confusing piece of business."
GoldLiger wrote on 25.01.2026:
[7.0] "Maybe a 5 or 6 in terms of in-ring action, but Andrade working the crowd here went a LONG way. The way he started the match working in a shirt and pants (nice Naito shoutout there) and organically had moments of the crowd first chanting at him to take his shirt and later pants off mid-match before obliging was excellent, and he still managed to maintain his heat on Magnus as he did so. The bit where he first takes off his shirt to reveal that he's absolutely shredded to a huge pop, pump-fakes throwing the shirt into the crowd before tossing it ringside, and then pantomimes "Pay me for it! " is masterful. Then that pop when he drops the pants, massive. Magnus had really nothing here, he even defaulted to a basic cry of VIVA MEXICO after hitting one move twice in the span of about a minute. Still, that crowd work elevated this a lot to the point where I think it was better than Hangman/Shibata II. ***1/4"

[5.0] "This was a weird match. This match was supposed to be a few days after it was taped but due to weather it was done after dynamite. I tell you this because I reckon that's why Andrade was so weird in this match. He fucked around, stripped for the crowd, took a selfie and gave his number to fan. Not a lot of wreslting at least in the first 8 minutes. Magnus was playing the hero and trying to get Andrade to focus but kinda got destroyed. I know Andrade can lock in when he needs to, I hope it was just because he didn't have time to prepare that this match was like this. Strange, but it was very funny"

[4.0] "What the hell was this? It was Andrade phoning it in for almost 11 minutes straight with Magnus getting little to no offense in. The story was more focused on Andrade stripping then actually wrestling. It was funny I do admit but another very bizzare match. [**.15]"
