[5.0] "The story of this match being that Matt wasn't a "cruiserweight" competing for the cruiserweight title was weird to me. However, that's not to detract from the quality of the match. It was a squash for Hardy for the most part. He dominated Kidman but not in the most fun way. It was an average match. Even the finish was... fine"
[7.0] "Matt Hardy is very funny here, this character was genius. Matt Hardy wins after a top rope Twist of fate. Very fun match, Matt Hardy was really good here with innovative moves, Kidman's high flying juxtaposed it well with at one point him hitting a superb kip up style enzunguri. Matt also sold things really well which is always a bonus. Fantastic nearfall at one point as Matt Hardy dodged Kidman's Shooting star press and spiked Kidman on his head with a twist of fate, it got me not gonna lie. Really good undercard match which shocked me with its quality. Great match."
[7.0] "I actually thought this was really good and I enjoyed the story behind Matt slimming down for the CW division. Made for an entertaining match and I've always liked both guys in the ring."
[6.0] "Even though it wasn't a standard cruiserweight match since Matt was involved it was still a nicely paced, fun little bout. Kidman was smooth with his stuff and Hardy sold well for him and they didn't forget about the babyface and heel dynamic with Moore being good at his flunky role."

Matt Hardy holt sich bei einem blinden Ringrichter durch einen absehbaren Eingriff von Shannon Moore den Cruiserweight Gürtel von einem am Ende charismatisch doch irgendwie zu blassen Billy Kidman. Die Story mit Hardys Gewicht wird sicherlich weiter Verwendung finden und der Twist of Fate vom obersten Seil sieht jetzt auch nicht so kacke aus."
[5.0] "Perfectly OK ring work but this was an emotionless match because it was clear the crowd just didn't care at all about Kidman lol. Still, thid division did good ring work and it is still ultimately passable I think despite never hitting a second or even first gear"
[5.0] "It was a good match, but it was more worth it for the final sequence. Both are good wrestlers but I think Billy Kidman was better in this match. I really liked Billy Kidman's selling of the twist of fate and the finish was fantastic. I think the winner was well chosen because Matt Hardy did very well in this feud and I think he deserves to be champion."
[7.0] "Matt Hardy's cruiserweight title run is probably one of the more memorable things that WWE ever did with the division, and it got off to a good start here. The match did suffer a bit from Kidman not being very over with the audience, but the action was all very good, and I especially liked the Super Twist of Fate for the finish."
[7.0] "Crowd never really got into this one, but I thought it was a fun match and really enjoyed how the neck targeting played to the finish of the match. The selling for the first twist of fate was too good as it looked like there was no way Kidman should have kicked out. The one off the top rope looked brutal and the interference from Shannon Moore still giving him a heelish win even with such an impressive move."
