[8.0] "One of the best matches in the entire tournament right here. Eagles got his best chance to shine yet, and he delivered. Of course, Desperado is no slouch, either. Really liked how much time this got, as well as how both men were presented. Really good stuff."
[8.0] "Pretty great and the kind of match we were desperately lacking since the early part of the tour. Both guys were battling to get their submission in. It's a shame we don't get more of Eagles in the title scene as he's not always around. Despy was great as always. ****"
[8.0] "Fantastic match with a slowish build to a hot finish. El Desperado has been great this BOSJ, putting on a series of fantastic matches. Same goes for Robbie Eagles. SINGLES RECORD: El Desperado 5-2"
[9.0] "Definitely one of the best of the tournament, and I think I might've liked this more then Akira vs Hiromu, except Hiromu and Akira had the upset that made it extremely enjoyable. Regardless, awesome match with great limb work and technicality. The only thing stopping this from being a ten is some of the leg selling from Robbie wasn't there at times, which was odd, but nonetheless a great match."
[6.0] "**** a good match, probably the second best of the tournament only below Hiromu vs Akira, good sequences, good chemistry, good rhythm, good limbwork from both to their legs, a good duration that they knew how to manage well, and a good ending with Despe destroying Eagles' leg with his submission key and making him tap"
[8.0] "[4.0*] WHAT A GREAT MATCH! Watching Despy and Robbie Eagles execute beautiful sequences targeting each other's left legs to try and secure the win was amazing. Both also hit their signature power moves that weren't submissions, but the opponent endured. There were many moments during the match where I thought it was about to end because of the extensive leg work and submissions, but I was pleasantly surprised by the resilience and determination of both wrestlers."
[8.0] "Lots of great technical work featuring all sorts of different leg locks. Had a good mix of technical portions and high-speed moments. Sad that Mao was eliminated but hopefully El Desperado can carry this energy for a great tournament final (Unless Yoh ruins everything)."
[8.0] "great technical wrestling, and i could feel so much passion from both guys here. especially from el desperado. great effort, great strike sequences, just an incredible match in general"
[9.0] "A very technical, very entertaining bout. A great showing on both wrestlers. There were a couple weak spots in the beginning, but they managed to bring it home quite good."
[8.0] "El Desperado vs Robbie Eagles was a splendid technical wrestling clinic that is among the very best matches of the entire tournament. Both men just engaged the crowd and got the most reaction as possible before crescendoing at the right point. Great match (****1/4)"
"My match of the night, I have always enjoyed matches built around limb work and this was no exception, some brutal leg work by Desperado early on set Eagles up to be the sympathetic babyface. Some great counter and reversals into both men's signature submission holds. A great way for both men to finish their strong tournament runs."
[7.0] "Great match that had me rooting for Robbie Eagles a lot by the end, especially with what was at stake. Desperado played his part well and this made me want to see a rematch where Eagles possibly wins somewhere down the line."
[7.0] "Echt hohes Niveau, keine Frage! Mich hat dieses Match aber nicht zu 100 Prozent gecatcht. Die Submission Sequenzen waren recht lang, aber intensiv und wussten zu gefallen."
