Jungle Kyona vs. Kairi Hojo

[6.0] "A solid match but I was not feeling nearly as much hype as I hoped to. Jungle is a good wrestler but she feels a bit like Goto, skilled but you know in most cases she's only going to go so far. I love Kairi but I also couldn't help but notice her spinning back fist (slap? ) was hitting nothing but air, and she did it so many times. Finishing the match with a skull rattling headbutt was also a turn off for me, just stop with that stuff..."

[7.0] "A decent match which falls just short of being "Good" for me, but it runs along at a nice pace and doesn't drag or overstay its welcome. A nice, easy watch, but not necessarily something I'd return to and watch again, which is what cuts this just short of an 8 for me."

[8.0] "It's rare for Kairi to be involved in a match, where she isn't the sympathetic figure, but that was the case for me here. Kyona's moveset isn't as varied as it is today, but her ability to invoke a reaction from the crowd, was as good then, as it is now. The finish was also great, with Kyona just refusing to stay down for Kairi to hit the elbow, which really helped elevate Kyona to the next level, early on in her career."

[10.0] "This was an emotional bout right down to the finish. Kyona works the mid-section to soften up Hojo for her gutwrench moves and takes some hard smacks in the process. This was sheer struggle for Kyona, who does an excellent job drawing in the crowd and creating an exciting atmosphere. Great drama and hard hits. ****1/2"
