Ryusuke Taguchi vs. YOH

[4.0] "Okay, listen. Yes, this was really just a comedy match. That's fine and dandy and whatever, but it's not my favorite when it's part of...one of the most important parts of the year for NJPW's Junior Heavyweight Division. Maybe I'm having an "old man yells at cloud" moment, but this was just a little much for me."

[2.0] "This was a very bad comedy match that ended with YOH taking a pin with an entire ass on his face. Pretty embarrassing. Comedy matches have their place and can be good, this wasn't and I don't think it was the right place for it. (*)"

[5.0] "This was fine as a lower card comedy match. Though, the only memorable spot was the cameramen hiding Taguchi's bare cheeks behind the ropes."

[7.0] "This a good funny comedy match. Not every thing has to be serious sometimes it can just be lighthearted and that's what they achieved here. This was just a fun good time and there is nothing wrong with that. Props to the camera man for censoring taguchi's bum."

[4.0] "That was a weird match. It wasn't really full on comedy if not for the ending but it rather went quickly and featured a really unsatisfying ending that left the feeling that they rushed it out. I 'll always remember the last frames of this one though. **1/4"

[3.0] "THE KING OF SPORTS. Honestly, why is bad comedy so rife in Japanese wrestling at the moment. We get a solid few minutes of Taguchi's bare backside, with the finish involving him full on sitting on YOH's face. There were a couple of moments of wrestling here which were fine 2* level stuff, but I just had to dock it a bit for the stupid 'comedy'. *3/4"

[6.0] "The hot run of form from Ryusuke Taguchi continues. Enjoyable comedy match with some outstanding camera work from the NJPW crew. SINGLES RECORD: Ryusuke Taguchi 8-1"

[3.0] "[1.75*] If it's for comedy, get out of the ring and find another pastime. Taguchi is already bland, and YOH doesn't work solo. Both of them wrestling was one of the saddest things I've ever watched."

[2.0] "The worst NJPW tournament match ive ever seen, if you want to put on matches like this go to DDT. Embarrasing. It gets a 2 purely for the fact that around all of the nonsense there was some coherent "wrestling" Yoh seems to have become a fully fledged comedy guy now, a shame."

[3.0] "The first act of this match was a failed tiger faint kick that led to taguchi wallowing on the floor for a minute and a half. The second act ends with the exposure of taguchi's butt. The rest of the match is just to Gucci trying to stick his butt in yohs face. Not what you come to a premier wrestling tournament for? Me either To be honest, I can love comedy in wrestling. But the very broad stuff that taguchi does does not work for me."

[7.0] "Some of y'all need to lighten up! This was very fun and silly. Taguchi giving himself a low blow attempting to do a 619 made me laugh out loud. And the ending with the creative camera work and the Paradise Lock was delightfully bizarre. This wouldn't have been out of place on a DDT show and it was all the better for it. Even if the comedy isn't your thing, at the end of the day it's a six minute match. To me it was a breath of fresh air (ironically given the finish)"

[4.0] "Great work from the camera man that keep me from looking off , other than that a overuse of the funky weapon ?"

[0.0] "* a very horrible match, Taguchi surprised me at the beginning of the tournament against Ishimori but after that he has a horrendous tournament with short but miserable fights to watch, this was regrettable, Yoh needed to win, and the way Taguchi won leaves Yoh in a bad light, although he did put in an effort in this match (just for that I gave him the * if not, not even that would be enough) the booking was simply disastrous, NJPW should understand and put Taguchi aside once and for all like they did with Toru Yano in the G1, Taguchi is only a comic relief but he should no longer be participating in the damn Best Of The Super Jr he is simply a disgrace"

[5.0] "Impressive camerawork, really nothing else here to talk about, I guess YOH may not end up winning this year, 2.5 stars"

[7.0] "So much fun! I kinda wish it was a bit longer, because Taguchi & YOH always had such nice weirdo chemistry. Camerawork being a major part of a match is awesome. From fan pics we discovered how close Ryusuke was to complitely undress, which made this match only cooler. ***3/4"

[6.0] "PHENOMENAL camera work. Silly and stupid, a lot better than I expected going in. Perhaps just a little bit too much of Taguchi's funky weapon but regardless a fun match to mix things up and get the crowd going."

[0.0] "Taguchi had a great opener against Ishimori, but has had a horrible three match streak against Titan, SHO and now this atrocity with YOH. If you like comedy Taguchi, this is for you. If you hate comedy spots, then skip this. Bonus points for the good camera work from the camera man."

[6.0] "Super funny match had me cracking up and the canerawork was so funny, the workrate wasnt the spotlight here but it entertained the hell out of me"

[5.0] "Not a great match by any means but damn, Taguchi never fails to entertain me and he's one of the funniest wrestlers in the world in addition to being great when he's serious. The camera censoring Taguchi's ass with the ropes was genuine, i don't recall seeing that before - **1/2"

[3.0] "Ummmm... I don't know about this one chief. I understand that this is Taguchi's shtick but i wasn't planning on seeing so much butt tonight, especially when there surely were kids in the crowd. Great camera work tho!"

[6.0] "This was funny and I enjoyed it. Taguchi's best comedy match this BOSJ because YOH is just as, if not more crazy than him. Fun match."

[4.0] "Comedy match, I usually like some of that but. A little too much old man butt and I think watching this with my girl who hated seeing Taguchi's butt probably brought the rating down a little. Amazing camera work"
