Kengo Mashimo vs. Shotaro Ashino

[7.0] "For a short match this ruled. I desperately wish AJPW put on more matches like this where both men show intensity and want to best the other, rather than the abundance of comedy we seem to get at the moment. Ashino & Mashimo both went all out to get the better of each other and demonstrated a proper struggle. Would have liked more. ***3/4"

[9.0] "This was like watching your 2 favorite actors star in a blockbuster film for the first time, The pacing was fast and the movements were fluid and everything hit perfectly. It doesn't get a 10 because it could've gone longer but given the allotted time frame they were given I'm not sure many matches could beat this."

[7.0] "It was very short but they overdelivered with some excellent technical stuff, great transitions and superb selling! I don't understand why AJPW stopped pushing Ashino but it's kinda sad, he's too good to rot in the midcard - ***1/2 +"

[7.0] "Perfect little match. Poor old Ashino has so much potential but the AJPW bookers don't seem to agree."

[8.0] "This checked every box of what I want in a pro wrestling match: Great pacing, hot crowd, had a nice little story with a beginning, middle, and end. Wonderful."

[7.0] "Kengo continues his MVP run in the CC. Just a really enjoyable back and forth between these two guys. Poor Ashino is going nowhere fast."
