[8.0] "This was a really good match between Carrillo and Lorcan here, they had a lot of time and they delivered. This match had a real stakes around it as the winner would face Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship at the Clash of Champions PPV, and I felt that big fight feeling. The length of the match alone was a sign of things to come, and in the ring it was really good too, there was the intensity and suspense I was looking for in a number one contender match. The very good action deserves to be underlined too, it would have been better perceived if it had not taken place in front of this boring dead crowd, but in any case it was a truly great wrestling match that I enjoyed a lot. I'm in the minority but I'm a huge fan of Carrillo, for me he's a solid babyface who will always come out with performances like that, and here he was really good in his offense as well as in his comebacks. Lorcan was a good heel as well who didn't bring the energy he usually brings to wake up the crowd but worked Carrillo very well with some submissions and strikes. Fun match with the right result."

[5.0] "Flat match with a bad Carrillo's performance and a good Oney's one. The Carillo's seling is very bad, with the midsection never selled. In fact the Lorcan's targeting is clear. Lorcan works well as the die hard face. I don't like too much the rhythm of the match and in some situations Carillo seems fake. ***"

Taping 205 live in full sail would do wonders for the show imo. The only thing that was missing here was a lively crowd."

[6.0] "I don't think I've ever been so torn to give a ratings on a match and here I am. It's really hard because these two worked really hard in that match, the work wasn't always clean, there were some timing issues or technical issues but they tried really hard. The problem was that they were in front of a crowd that just didn't care at all. The crowd was dead from the beginning to the end of the match and it obviously hurt the match a lot. During the same night, I gave ***1/4 to Murphy/Ali from Smackdown. If this match had the same crowd energy that the Murphy/Ali, I think it could've reach a **** star match. I won't blame entirely the crowd because the wrestlers made a mistake here too, starting the match (excluding the opening stretch) with a heat sequence that lasted more than 5 minutes was way too much for this crowd and for the overness of these two wrestlers. They didn't had the crowd at the beginning of the match but 7 minutes into this match, they made sure the crowd wasn't going to invest in the match, no matter what they did after. I still think 205 Live should go full PWG with these types of match, just full spotfest, this is the easiest way to get over with a WWE crowd. So the match had a strong work in front of a dead crowd.
