[9.0] "This was a massacre. Murdoch's promo before the match was random and pointless, but it wasn't bad. The action in the match was bloody from start to finish, with dozens of light tubes being used. It's also characterized by Sawyer's great dominance; she was the crowd favorite to win, and her last matches as a wrestler were meant to portray her as a wild beast who destroyed all her opponents. But her dominance was exaggerated; John looked like a bitch next to Sawyer. I recommend it. In the first round, they were both already bleeding buckets."
[6.0] "Three stars, primarily a glass heavy death match. Sawyer having to take on a perennial tournament finalist gave this some oomph outside her retirement arc."
[7.0] "Good match between these two that was a good first step on Sawyers path on her retirement night taking what JWM threw at her and giving it right back to him to the ovation of her hometown crowd with plenty of tubes broken by both. The visual of Sawyer chokeslamming JWM through the tube covered table was a good one."
[7.0] "Another very solid first round match. Added story with the whole Sawyer retirement angle will make this tournament interesting. JWM doing heel work with the Gage stuff was pretty funny."
[7.0] "This was a really good match. Murdoch went above and beyond to make Sawyer look like a beast and I adored that chokeslam through the tubes and table."
