[5.0] "This wasn't fine for a free pre-show. The best match was the 6 man tag. What you would call the main event of the show was a fun match and the ladies tag match at the beginning was honestly meh. But It was a free show."
[5.0] "Really not a good buy-in. The best thing about the buy-in was the segment with MJF, Foley, and Darby. That honestly helped hype up the match for later that night. I will say that beside the segment with Foley, it wasn't that great, with mediocre to below average wrestler. [5/10]"
[6.0] "If not for the MJF Foley segment this would've been a 4. I don't expect much from these shows but this was certainly worse than Revolution and Dynasty. I only really hated one of the matches here but the other two weren't anything special. That being said, the Foley segment kind of saved this."
[3.0] "I think that people are being far too kind to these pre-shows that offer no build matches, shitty sponsorship, D-list celebrity cameos (and I like the Rizzler) and phoned in wrestling. I understand the pre-show is more for the paying audience as opposed to "buy our show" which is what it used to be but I'd rather nothing than this. DoN was one of the best PPVs AEW has ever delivered but this? Skip the whole thing and nothing changes. Gets a 3 because of Foley."
[3.0] "I completely missed this Zero Hour; it offered nothing. Mediocre and bad matches that don't even deserve to be discussed. The live audience probably enjoyed them, but I doubt anyone else did. The only redeeming feature was the match between MJF and Mick Foley, and the words of support Foley offered to Darby Allin."
[6.0] "Well this was a pretty eh Zero Hour/Buy in. The 3 match ranged was bordering on terrible to just about alright standard quality. But it didn't really do anything for me if i am honest from an in ring standpoint which is a shame as we normally get at least one fun match on the pre show. Where the Pre show shined for once was the segments everything with Mick Foley was so enjoyable glad to see him in AEW. The segment at the end With Mick, Darby and MJF was really good and lifted the hour as a whole and added even more heat to the main event so that was very good."
[6.0] "Overall, this was a an alright Buy In. The Mick Foley addition to AEW's on screen structure was easily the highlight for me and the segment with MJF at the end genuinely elevated the whole thing."
[7.0] "Mick Foley stole the show. A shame it's 2026, and I don't mean with malice, I meant that if Foley's body wasn't so broken there were so many things he could do and it would have ended way better than TNA.. Win one for the good guys. Foley has always been amazing on the mic."
[6.0] "On paper, aside from the main event, the other two matches looked pretty interesting, but in reality there wasn't all that much to see. It was definitely worth watching for Foley's AEW debut though, which is also the reason I stayed glued to the show until the end. The exchange with MJF was fantastic -- I'm raising my rating just because of that."
[6.0] "The matches were perfectly fine and to be honest nothing special. But again, nothing bad either. But to me the thing that pushes this just over the edge to a 6/10 mark is that Mick Foley and MJF back and fourth."
[8.0] "Nothing too blow away match wise but a few fun ones, and boy the MJF-Mick Foley segment was tremendous. It was the first time we got a Mick Foley promo like that in a loooooong time. Love that he's in AEW."
[6.0] "We get Mick Foley being introduced as a new member of the AEW family, but not certain in what capacity? Your typical PPV Buy-In. We get the Devine Dominion successfully defending their tag titles, but then we get Tay-Jay coming down after the match, so they appear to be the new feud for the champs, which is superb. Death Riders and the Opps have a hard striking trios match. Finally a staple of PPV Buy Ins Boom and Doom, team with the Conglomeration as they battled STP. The finish got botched, but still a fun match."
[5.0] "Honestly, as a lead-up to DON, it was pretty meh. The card wasn't appealing, and it's pretty frustrating what they're doing with the women's Tag Team division, they're just having them do the same thing they've been doing all month: Eliminator matches against wrestlers who don't really matter in the lineup. On the other hand, the highlight is that the Death Riders got some screen time on DON, which is better than nothing, after the great development they've had as a faction. The Main Event was pretty meh, to be honest."
[5.0] "A pretty standard pre-show. Decent, but not very impressive matches to prep for the main show, but there was a segment between Mick Foley and MJF to finish off the pre-show that worked pretty well."
[4.0] "The matches weren't very interesting, especially the last one, but this pre-show had some good angles, starting with the exchange between Foley, MJF, and Allin. The appearance of Eddie Kingston and his crew also generated a great reaction. TayJay's appearance was more of a sideshow, but it was high time Divine Dominion faced a team with at least some recognition. In-ring quality: 2.25/6.5. Angles and segments outside of matches: 1.5/3.5. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 3.75/10. Show watched on the AEW YouTube channel."
[5.0] "A fine Buy In show, with three fine matches, Mick Foley making his AEW on screen debut here was good to see even though it was announced prior. Closing segment featuring Mick Foley and MJF was interesting to watch. Lena Kross & Megan Bayne vs Viva Van & Zayda Steel: An obvious win for Divine Dominion here, but Steel and Van had a bit of offense and the time limit nearly expired which was nice to see a 5 minute eliminator match go longer than 2 or 2 and a half minutes [**]. Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta vs Anthony Bowens, Hook & Katsuyori Shibata: An ideal match for The Buy In show, Shibata had some interesting exchanges with Claudio and Garcia, Death Riders got the win which was fine but I thought Bowens would have got the win for The Opps as they are seemingly building him up to be a prominent member but must be taking the slow burning approach [**3/4]. Boom And Doom & The Conglomeration vs Shane Taylor Promotions: Did not outstay its welcome in time, had some fine action and made sense with the recent history of all involved [**1/4]"
