[4.0] "Can't say I really cared a great deal for this but at least these episodes are short. The two big weekly stories were setlled in the past two episodes so they're left with no showcase match here and it feels like a reset. MLP can lean into the holiday camp wrestling feel and there was a lot of that in this episode. PCO can be an entertaining hardcore wrestler but his theatrics can also be too much for me. Psycho Mike seems to be a one-note comedy character. Bhupinder's new look is more interesting but it remains to be seen if there will be too much "characterisation" which comes with it. The main event got things a little more serious again but what can you do with a 6-minute four-way?"

[6.0] "Overall no bad matches, but none that are great. All of them are just alright. The last match I do say was the best of them"

I quite enjoyed the different storylines on the show, especially the Sinner & Saint segment which was a really good introduction to their characters."

[6.0] "This was aight. First episode of Mayhem so far where there isn't one particularly "good" match. To be clear, none of it is quite "bad", it's just kind of all there. Kind of a breather/filler episode after two big title matches in a row. Opening tag was a bit of slog; PCO just disappears halfway through the match so we have to watch Shotzi Blackheart wrestle for several minutes straight, which is always an endeavor. Wegovy Variant Dan Maff crashes the party, building to a PCO rematch. That's... that's fine, I guess. I will say PCO creeping up on Maff backstage and their brawling interrupting a match later in the show was pretty amusing. A falls count anywhere match at Northern Rising could be a lot of fun. Rudra re-debuts in an enjoyable squash match looking like he was pulled straight out of a God of War spinoff, and I'm all for it. Gujjar's always been a decent but very bland worker so a gimmick like this might be just what he needs to really hit that next level. The Sinner and Saint promo was... not it, chief. I love, LOVE, the *idea* of it, and the cinematography, but the writing was bad. Like, BAD. "Here's the sinner, but he's not *really* a sinner. Here's a saint, but he's not *really* a saint." Guhhhhh, what? Whole thing was just kind of word salad. Was this a ChatGPT first draft? I called it last week with Maclin vs. Cope at NR, and it'll be intriguing to see how this all plays out given the real-world political climate between Canada and the USA. I don't expect Maclin to start wearing red baseball caps or anything like that, but I'm definitely interested in seeing the classic "proud decorated American veteran patriot" wrestling stock character being the heel for once. Mauro burying the Canadian national anthem was pretty funny too (he seemed particularly manic during this whole episode in general for some reason). Rohan Raja redemption tour begins in Mexico, and I have high hopes for him down the road. That just leaves the main event, which was definitely a wrestling match. No shade to anyone, just an all too brief match with nothing special to really talk about except a VERY clunky finish. Strange choice to include Shaw herself in this match specifically so she could take the (unearned) pin by Storm. Like, this could've been a triple threat number one contender's match with Shaw on commentary or special referee or something. Perhaps they're planning on adding Kelly to the PPV match too. Either way, Nikki Storm is officialy in MLP now and definitely the best choice to challenge for the title at biggest pay-per-view of the year. Overall a decent episode of TV but nothing to really write home about. 6.5 rounded down."
