[6.0] "Team Knight/Vision-**1/2. Just a regular tag team match and Speed's involvement was harmless and limited. He did that big splash after the match and it was viral moment they were looking for. Unsanctioned match-***3/4. Pretty solid match but the unsanctioned was completely unnecessary as they had a regular No DQ match instead of some violent spectacle like the last time unsanctioned match was held. Women's tag team match-**3/4. I though it was good but nothing special. Paige's big return was in the spotlight. Becky/AJ Lee-**3/4. It didn't have as much heat as their Elimination Chamber match and I wish they saved their first time encounter for WrestleMania. AJ was ok but she is obviously not on Becky's level but they did what they could. Gunther/Rollins-****1/2. Incredible match, and one of Seth's best performances in recent memory. It was a fight that had great heat and aggression and it lived up to the hype. Liv/Stephanie-**. WrestleMania world title match got just 7 minutes. It was never going to be a classic, but still. Orton/Rhodes-****. Overall a passable, almost decent show that definitely didn't live up to the expectations but was not bad by any means."

Sure, there were some mediocre matches and none of the women's matches got a lot of run time, but none of the matches were so awful that the show felt totally unwatchable. Seth Vs gunther was a Wrestlemania classic and I thought Cody vs Randy was actually pretty good."

The treatment of the women's division is genuinely laughable, there's no reason any of those matches went sub-12 minutes. Like whoever's idea it was to give Liv and Steph 6 minutes has got to be fired icl. Becky vs AJ was boring as hell and Becks is back in the same place she started this feud in. Paige's return while a fun moment was just that; a fun moment, and ultimately led to a mediocre match with an underwhelming performance due to lack of time; Charlotte with the minutes she had did terrible and looked a mess. The 6 man is boring and somewhat funny once Speed got in, but it wasn't anything meaningful. And then Jacob vs Drew felt like we were watching it in 0.05 speed and didn't do shit with the minutes they had."

[5.0] "The commercials were annoying, but didn't bother me since they had edited a lot of them out by the time I watched it the next day, McAfee's involvement didn't bother me (so that makes one of us), but not having a video package for the two epically women's matches annoyed me. The entrances were great for them, but each match only getting mid-card match lengths annoyed me (I know Vacquor's injury caused the one, but the other? ), and then to deliver that mid of a main - it wasn't the worst night of a Mania ever, but it's in the conversation of bottom ten for me. (Night 2 was the exact opposite.)"

[4.0] "Good god, was Mania 42's night 1 really bad showing for the biggest wrestling show of the year, Gunther vs Seth was the only match worth watching, while Fatu vs Drew was pretty good but could have been better. The opening match was fine, Paige return was cool I guess, Liv vs Vaquer sucked for a world title match, AJ vs Becky was average, and the main event somehow was underwhelming with a bad buildup."

I would be so pissed if I were there live, I've always dreamt of making a Mania in my lifetime, always a bucketlist item for me. But my god there was hardly any wrestling in comparison to entrances, adverts, pre-match tapes, and bogus ar commentary or backstage. The main event was plagued to be awful thanks to its historically bad build, but it was somehow another step forward in dilluting and confusing an already warped to the gills story. IehowSpeed waa fun, he gets it and of the Youtube celebrity guys, he's always one I've thought of as humble and deserving of his moments. He seems to understand the product and was an actual highlight for me. That, should speak to the quality of this show. God, even Becky VS AJ could have been saved for a monday night. There wasn't anything special at all here, nothing extraordinary, nobody had a real Mania Moment. It was transient and unnecessary. I can't call it the worst PPV of all time, but it may just be the last one I ever make the mistake of getting interested in again. I have loved the Road to Mania since I was a child, and this is the most deflated I've ever felt after one. None of it mattered."

[5.0] "A very mid wrestle mania night. Other than Rollins/Gunther and to a degree Fatu/McIntyre, no other match delivered. Paige's return was a shocker and loved seeing her back in the ring. Good to see Cena too even if it was for a few minutes. Bron is back in action as well and reignited his rivalry with Rollins after costing him his match. The matches imo got very less time and that is prolly my biggest gripe of many with the corporitization of the product courtesy of TKO. Very sad state of the compnay to say the least. How the product has declined over the past two years is genuinely baffling."

The wrestling wasn't bad with some matches being pretty good like Gunther vs. Rollins, and Rhodes vs. Orton not having a bad match, just weird interference. I think that the main problem with this PLE is that it is WrestleMania after all and should be the pinnacle of the year for WWE, but it just wasn't a very strong night of wrestling. There were too many matches that were very short with most of them getting under 10 minutes which should just not happen. I didn't really notice too many ads since I had other people over, so I had stuff to do during the ads, but I don't feel like they made the show. The first match was probably not the best choice to open up the biggest show of the year [6/10]. The Unsanctioned Match was good, but not brutal enough to the levels of an Unsanctioned Match [8/10]. The Women's Fatal 4-Way was not bad and kinda made it better that Paige did come back, but still wasn't a great match [6/10]. Becky and AJ were not bad, but not great and only got 8:15 which made it kinda worse than their match at Elimination Chamber [6/10]. Gunther and Rollins was my favorite match of the night, with the wrestling just being great and having good moments that made it memorable [9/10]. Liv and Stephanie had the worst part of the night, not due to the talent in the match, but the time that they were given. They were given 7 minutes, and had interferences in the match that left not enough time for actual wrestling [5/10]. The main event was not actually bad and had a good choice of having the interference happen before the match to get the celebrities kinda out of the way. The wrestling was pretty good, but slow at first. The end was very confusing but wasn't horrible. [8/10] The show for me overall gets a [6.5/10] which means that it was not a bad show, just disappointing."

One incredible match, if you watch there will be one or two that connect to you, but the matches which the audience felt outstandingly connected come ended up being blubbering illusions to late-stage WCW. Whoever has assumed control of the creative for smackdowns main event, please stop. In the end, night 2 needs to be special, the company is all in on night 2 and ticket sales showed with an 8k drop in attendance one year on. This is a night of numerous mistakes we can only hope the company takes to heart and learns from, but seeing who's involved in highly doubtful it won't be simply rebutted with, "did ya enjoy the show.? " No, no I did not."

The match of the night was easily Rollins vs. Gunther, which is the only match that I think was given the proper amount of time on the entire show. Gunther Seth was my MOTN prediction and i was seemingly correct, fantastic. Liv vs Stephanie should've been far longer, one of my main gripes with this wrestlemania. The main event was great and an unexpected but happy end to it. amazing show. 7/10"

Great builds being relegated to sub-10 minute matches, poor builds resulting in confusing matches, and just overall, abysmally paced from start to finish. I appreciate a lot of work goes into producing a show for television, but after the first hour, they were on PPV, and it still felt like they had to cater to advertisers and purposefully plan around that. I pay for a Netflix subscription and get more than my money's worth from it outside of WWE, so I don't consider myself having paid for this show, but if I had paid US PPV prices for this, I would be irate. If I had paid travel, accommodation, and ticket prices for this catastrophe, I would be reconsidering my entire life leading to that point. / Best: Rollins V Gunther - only match that felt like it was produced for Wrestlemania. Good from start-to-finish, but suffered from the same fate as all the other matches, needed another 5 minutes to hit that next gear before the finish. Disappointed, but not surprised, Bronn played a part in the ending, would have rather have Gunther win clean, and Bronn attack post-match, or on Raw. / Worst: Rhodes V Orton - as much as I was disappointed with Morgan V Vaquer, they did the best with the time they were given, which is completely outside of their control. Rhodes V Orton, on the otherhand, was the most backwards booked match. Orton torments Rhodes for weeks in the build-up, wants to "save the business", is obviously positioned as the heel. Then why is this entire match booked as if Cody is the bad guy? He spends 20 minutes slowly breaking down Orton, drawing everything out, and Orton looks loopy, and battered, and clearly looking for sympathy from the crowd. I thought maybe they were going to commit to a double turn after Orton takes out McAfee, and Cody wins following the low blow, but no, Orton blindsides Cody after the fact, and punts him, harkening back to the heights of his heel days, so he is the heel in the feud, despite everything leading up to this point. Completely non-sensical and honestly isn't a farcry from the pits of WCW, ending PPVs on swerves to get people to watch weekly TV."

[3.0] "Having watched it live as my first PLE since at least 2020, it wasn't much. It was honestly hard to sit through, considering the shortness and all around unimportance of the matches. You think the early matches are just whatever so the good stuff comes at the end, but the good stuff never really came (besides Seth and Gunther, who of course were able to deliver good matches). The main event was just a no, badly booked across the board and that's all I'll really say so that I don't sound like a hater going on a tangent. Stephanie I understand was injured, and Liv was pretty banged up too, so I understand why their match was short but it was still unfortunate as it was one of the only really well built matches on the card. It won't go down in history as the all time worst, but maybe as the most uninspired."

Because of that, most of these bouts felt like matches we could have seen on a weekly show without batting an eye. It's genuinely frustrating."

Paige's return might have popped some people, but it did nothing for me. AJ Lee vs. Lynch: I'd already forgotten about it an hour after it ended. Nothing stood out. Liv vs. Vaquer: Way too short to even form an opinion. Short matches can be great, but this wasn't one of them. Gunther vs. Rollins: My expectations were high. It was the "Match of the Night" by default, but I still wouldn't even give it 4 stars. Fatu vs. McIntyre: I was dreading a generic crowd brawl, but it turned out to be a decent surprise. It was violent and okay for what it was, but nothing more. The Main Event was a total mess. I have no idea what they were thinking with the booking. There was so much history to play with regarding The Legacy, but they shoehorned Pat McAfee into it and the whole thing became incomprehensible. The match itself was a slog--too long, too slow, and way too soft. Just a typical plodding Orton match. And don't get me started on the storytelling. We wasted 10 minutes watching McAfee get stretchered out just for him to come back later--which everyone saw coming from a mile away. Why the slow counts? Why would Orton attack him when he had the numbers advantage? It made zero sense. Rating: 2/10. And honestly, I'm being generous."

I think that match should've been a ladder match, potentially could've been a banger. I felt sorry for Bayley and Lyra, but I'm still glad that they've made to the Wrestlemania 4. AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch - didn't watch that match, only highlights, can tell only that using ref was not bad part of that match, that fits to the Becky's heel character, cheating so creative and good to win that match. I think it's time to use Womens IC title to push some young female stars or maybe to renew Becky's and Nikki's feud 5. Seth Rollins vs. Gunther - 4.5/5. That was a perfect match until Bron Breaker showed up, because his appereance was too predictable and the ending was ruined, maybe they should've give Seth and Gunther finish the match and then Bron could attack Seth. Now Seth can focus on Vision and Gunther can go for the World Title, so nobody is a loser 6. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan - didn't watch that match, but glad for Liv, she deserved 7. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton - 3/5. First of all, for me - Cody's entrance was fire. That match was more about storytelling than wrestling, very slow pace ruined that match, didn't worth the main-event of Wrestlemania It was one of the worst Wrestlemania's I've ever watched, so boring and without any great moments, some Smackdowns or Raws in history was way better than this Wrestlemania's day 1 xD"

With all that said, the night had some surprises like the Gunther and Rollins match which was exactly what it needed to be. Outside of the matches, too many ads and little to no video packages which is always a must, especially for someone like me who wasn't paying that much attention to the built. It is sad that I have to give a Wrestlemania an average rating, but at least it wasn't as bad as I first thought."

And a match with a result like that just doesn't make any sense. The match between Seth Rollins and Gunter was the best of the show and could have been a benchmark for wrestling, just like any Gunter match, but it was all ruined by the idiotic overbooking of probably the most idiotic faction in WWE history. Liv Morgan deservedly won the title, but it didn't evoke any emotion, since the match was, unfortunately, about nothing, and that's a disappointment considering that the feud between Liv and Stephanie was very high-quality. The only pleasant thing was seeing how they patted little Liv's tummy on her exit. The main event was actually good, by the way; it was interesting to watch what was happening, but the ending was the pinnacle of the script's degeneration. There's practically nothing to be happy about. The women had three matches on this show totalling 24 (! ) minutes. Iyo vs Asuka died for ts. The matches weren't shockingly terrible but, apart from one, they weren't good either. Expectations were far from high considering the build but holy fuck was I still surprised with how bad this was. The crowd was terrible, the pacing was awful, the entrances dragged, there were production errors during the main event and the ads were SO UNBEARABLE. We saw more ads than actual wrestling ffs. Even got to the point where they repeated the fucking Hogan documentary several times. The unsanctioned match was just an average WWE street fight. The Women's Tag Team and Intercontinental title bouts were just meh, although Paige's return was a nice moment. Stephanie vs Liv getting 7 minutes is an insult and I feel bad for Steph tbh, such a cheap way to end her reign. Someone here mentioned that Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile got more time on Main Event, just sums it up. Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee in a Wrestlemania main event LMFAOOOOOOOO. The match itself was such a slog and the post match was weird. I guess we got the punt though. At least try to make the show feel like the biggest of the year instead of a weekly show. I need to wait seven days to rate this and when I can it's getting a 1/10. Seth vs Gunther and Speed in the opener saved this from getting a 0. Bianca's announcement was fantastic to hear as well. Overall an embarrassing display from the so-called No.1 company, don't have high hopes for night 2 being any better. What a complete waste of my time."

[5.0] "It wasn't all that bad. Just don't wtahc it live, I guess... But the matches were way too short, yes, but there was a Gunther vs. Rollins out there, and guess what, neither of the past WM weekend cards were as much amazing. 5/10 still, defending this mess of a show."

[1.0] "This was like watching the remnants of a doomed expedition. Very little if any redeeming qualities here. More TKO and Hogan propaganda than actual wrestling. Also, would you like wrestling with those advertisements? More disjointed than an indy show and with the power of hindsight we know that TKO will brag about the gate and all the money they got from the fans, followed by two dozen releases. Effectively one good match surrounded by a show that wouldn't look out of place in 2008 WWE."

[3.0] "It would have been mediocre as a SNME, it is an insult to everyone involved in past events and to the fans to call this "WrestleMania"."

[5.0] "I'm rating this based on the average rating I gave for each match. I actually found this more consistent and less disheartening than last year's Saturday; perhaps that's just because I had far lower expectations. The main event was much worse, however and left a bad taste in many mouths. I didn't watch this live, so I was able to skip the ads."

[3.0] "Sadly one of the worst Mania's of all time. This was lackluster from start to end. Matches was to short, too many commercials and almost no hype packages, made the entire show feel less important. Also the in-ring action was subpar, probably because the match times were so short. I give match of the night to Gunther vs. Rollins, but even that felt way to rushed and just a way to push the return of Bron Breakker. Please do better next year WWE."

[7.0] "I thought it was a mixed bag of a show on WrestleMania Saturday. Calling it solid feels fair, but I also know some fans hated it more than me. I tend to think I am more rational than most. It didn't blow me away, or anything like that, but three matches stood out and those three delivered. The other four matches were kept under 10 minutes, and I don't really agree with that. I feel bad for the talent whose matches were cut short. I think the show format hurts it overall because of so many breaks between matches, and matches aren't as long as they should be. With this lineup, there should have been more outstanding matches, but it wasn't at that level. The 7 matches lasted a total of 1 hour, 25 minutes, and when you realize they had four hours to fill, that just isn't enough, in my opinion. It leads fans to hate WWE for cutting matches short and running four minutes of ads because ESPN wants to make some money off the huge investment they made. On Netflix, we got clips of Hulk Hogan's documentary during those ad breaks. It's business, and ads are part of the world we live in, but wrestling fans were used to watching PLEs/PPVs for decades without ads, and now they seem too ad-heavy. The three standout matches were Gunther-Seth Rollins, Jacob Fatu-Drew McIntyre, and the main event with Cody Rhodes retaining the WWE Title against Randy Orton. Two of those matches had interference, so they weren't clean endings. I thought another two or three matches could be great (especially Morgan-Vaquer), but they just weren't given a chance because the matches were kept under 10 minutes. On a positive note, it's good to see Paige back and already holding gold in WWE, while Bianca Belair's pregnancy announcement was great too. I'm happy for her and husband Montez Ford. Nice job by them. Bring on night two."

[5.0] "Eh. I think it was fine. The only matches I think I'll be going back to from this night are Seth and Gunther, and the Main event. Everything else felt pretty filler, which for Wrestlemania should not be the case. I can't discount the talent for doing the absolute best they could, and I don't want to be that guy, but the match times were a little ridiculous. I was sports-entertained but not particularly wowed. I've seen much worse shows from this company not that long ago... I understand there's no going bac, k but ADs on PPV are terrible"

"In my opinion, it was the worst wrestlemania in history. A lot of advertising, little wrestling, and the disgusting quality of both wrestling and booking."

[5.0] "I'd give this first night a failing grade, mainly because of the match timing, way too short, which didn't make them feel worthy of WrestleMania, and the excessie amount of commercials. On top of that, the card felt unbalanced; some matches should've been moved from Night 1 to Night 2 and vice versa. That said, it's undeniable that a couple of matches saved the show. Gunther vs Rollins was excellent, Breakker's return was great and even the main event, despite its falws, delivered on the level expected for the event, especially in its final momentes. But for all the reasons mentioned, it still gets a 5/10"

[5.0] "Don't let the rating fool you, this is one of the worst Wrestlemanias I've ever seen. I've now watched this day twice, once fully and a second time only watching the matches. I can strongly say that for the most part the wrestling is good. Majority of the matches have a solid narrative that are communicated well and all done with well executed moves and athleticism. The problem is and what makes this show so offensive is how mid it is. How boring it is. How soulless it is. The matches are good in a vacuum because most matches aren't given the time to do more. If these matches were on weekly programming or a C tier PLE then no one would bat an eye. The problem is that this is wrestlemania and delivering mid to slight above par quick sprints isn't good enough. If it wasn't for the signage you wouldn't think that this is THE show of the year. There's also nothing but entrances and wrestling. Bar a rush Hall of Fame segment and Bianca Belair announcing her pregnancy, nothing happens. No backstage segments, not even promo packages for the matches you're about to see. Nothing. I'll tell you what most of this show is. Ads. So many fucking ads. WWE can put on mediocre wrestling all they want, it's never affected their bottom line before and it won't now but where I draw the line is being subjected to watching 4 hours of ads, intermittently broken up by lazy portrayals of the thing I came to see. They don't care about us anymore"

[4.0] "Much like Bret Hart says about HHH 4/10. One match saves this show from a 1 or 2 and that's Gunther vs Rollins. I can't recommend anything outside of that. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but even I can buy into the theory (not Austin) that TKO booked night one and WWE booked night two."

[5.0] "I'll be honest. I rate all PPVs as follows, without exception. Each match is rated using my personal system, which considers Audience, Storytelling, and In-Ring Quality. And the average of all the match ratings for each PPV is the final rating for that event. In this case, it was 5.0/10."
