[8.0] "I was in the crowd for this smackdown so I might be a little biased here. However I did think this was a good show with every match being good. The opening segment was great and the opening 4-way was my favorite match. The cena/truth/punk stuff was great and the crowd was hot for it. All the stars were here for this smackdown and it was a fun watch. Good show in my opinion."

[8.0] "Pretty good episode of Smackdown with some fun fatal four ways -- though I must admit I'm a sucker for a tournament. The first QOTR qualifier took a bit to get going, but I thought the back half was fun and Jade hitting a Jaded on Piper was impressive. Other three fatal four ways were all good, with the main event being the best of the bunch. Tag team match was definitely the weakest of the night, seemed like Dexter Lumis was a bit lost a few times during the match, including that awkward pin at the finish. For the promos, I thought Cena's opening segment with Cody and Orton was good, as were the attacks by Ron Killings. The Punk promo was long and rambling but had some good moments in it. Jacob Fatu and Naomi were both solid -- though I did groan a little when Nia attacked Tiffany at the end of the Naomi segment....didn't we move past that already? Other smalll storyline steps were appreciated -- LA Knight vs Seth's crew, Charlotte vs Alexa, Carmelo vs Aleister, Zelina vs Giulia...hopefully we get good payoff from these."

[5.0] "The first 4 way was pretty underwhelming, some cool spots but they seemed lost a lot of the time, it's hard to ignore that, I expected way more seeing the names involved. The third one also had some of those moments, but it wasn't as bad. All the oposite with the second one, that I expected to be way worse but it was nice, Jade looked pretty good. The last one was probably the best. The tag match was horrible, Lumis seemed like he just started wrestling two days ago, awful. I still hate the Cena heel run, but this promos with Punk have been the best ones. That's not saying a lot but it's something. Suzuki-hair Ron is pretty cool. Nobody wants another Tiffy-Nia rivalry. I like that they keep giving more time in matches instead of repetitive and unnecesary segments, but nothing was specially good today. Mid."

[3.0] "The promos were good, I hated the matches. Alexa keeps being pushed due to nostalgia, because that's the only skill she got. Her character is stupid, sucked in 2020 and still sucks now. Sicks beat MCMG and that's absurd if you use your brain. They are a useless and disappointing stable, attacked the MCMG for no reason and now they're aiming for titles? Really? I think four of them would have been released if it wasn't for Bray Wyatt's death, and I'm sorry to say this because I respect them a lot but they just don't have impact on me anymore. Jade victory was not a problem but the match did not delivered. I liked the opener, the main event was ok."

[4.0] "Fucking hell this was boring as shit. We start off good with the first four-way match, but then plunge quickly with the first women's four-way. After a boring ass match, we get another boring ass match with the tag team match. I haven't seen a crowd care less about a match in a while. Then we get another women's four-way, and it's yet another boring fucking match. Finally we get to the main event, where it starts off really slow, but, thankfully, becomes better in the second half. Also Cena came out two times for some reason and Punk did his usual questionable "for the people" promo."

[7.0] "This was once again an in-ring driven show mixed with John Cena being the main talking point of this episode as he had two segments, a backstage segment, and was jumped twice by Ron Killings and confronted by Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, Randy Orton & CM Punk. He had a lot to do tonight, which I liked because, as the WWE Champion, that's what should happen, not a cartoonish promo mic'd with the same dialogue, so I like they switched it up. The matches were solid, nothing wowing, but they did the job for the King and Queen in the Ring tournament. But over another decent episode of SmackDown."

[7.0] "This was actually a very good SmackDown episode I thought and the opening segment was very entertaining with Cena cutting probably the best promo all year with Orton, Cody & LA Knight getting involved to make the stakes higher for KOTR. Opening match was pretty good with 2 very good spots. I didn't care to much about the first women's fatal 4 way or the tag team match. Jacob & Solo had an investing segment and I've looking forward to where it goes. Cena & Punk had an amazing segment and loved Ron Killings getting involved both times to setup a match next week. The second women's fatal 4 way was a fun match and glad Alexa won because it was very unpredictable. The main event I thought was also pretty good and loved most of the match. Overall a good SmackDown and hopefully the quality of the show continues to improve."

[7.0] "The opening segment had an interesting promo from John Cena that brought out Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and LA Knight, then not surprisingly ended with R-Truth attacking Cena to end the segment, the segment being enjoyable. Naomi segment with Tiffany Stratton coming out and had a solid verbal exchange before Nia Jax attacked Stratton whilst distracted by Naomi. John Cena/CM Punk confrontation was okay with some good barbs being thrown around mainly by Punk, an okay continuation of the build to their title match in Saudi Arabia at NoC. Randy Orton vs Aleister Black vs Carmelo Hayes vs LA Knight: A solid showing from all four involved, Orton got the win which was good to see and also did make sense, Knight got attacked by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker which would make sense due to Knight costing Breakker his KOTR match earlier in the week on RAW, a strong match for the King Of The Ring tournament [****]. Jade Cargill vs Michin vs Nia Jax vs Piper Niven: An okay match, could have been better but there were a couple of mis steps and it did not really click fully, Cargill winning was the right choice in this match to advance within the Queen Of The Ring tournament [**1/4]. Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy vs Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin: Did not have much interest in this match, Wyatt Sicks have run their course, nothing really stood out in this one, MCMG should be treated like the top tier team that they are [*3/4]. Alexa Bliss vs Alba Fyre vs Candice LaRae vs Charlotte Flair: Bliss winning was a surprise as thought Flair would have won, the match was fine in itself but nothing special in this QOTR tournament [**1/2]. Cody Rhodes vs Andrade vs Damian Priest vs Shinsuke Nakamura: Rhodes had some good spots with the other three involved, the match was overall decent enough but don't think it needed to go as long as it did, maybe could have had 5 minutes cut off which would have made it better, Shinsuke was the weakest link in this one, Priest and Andrade both had decent showings in this one [***1/2]"

[8.0] "I actually thought sd was quite good. The opening segment was a hoot, especially seeing how the fans reacted to Cody Randy Cena and La Knight. The Ron Killings angles throughout the show were very good. The opening kotr qualifying was very good too, did wish Melo won but I can't complain about Randy and Sami going at it again (loved their last match). Jade Cargill continues to do her thing. This match was a bit very considering who else was in the match but Jade was some of the best parts of it. The tag match was weird too but I'll account that due to the members of the Wyatt's being rusty. The second women qualifying match for the qotr was quite fun too. Another strong Cena Punk segment with the dynamics being flipped this time, I liked how Punk turned the tables on Cena this time for trying to say he's a hypocrite when he's one too. Some of the teases we got via Cody and Randy, even another Cody Punk tease. It's only a matter of time those matches happen. And then the main event was quite fun too. Shinsuke was moving, Andrade was Andrade always doing his thing, Cody was the glue to this match, even took a table bump, what a sicko, and Priest did his thing too. Almost forgot to mention that a Giulia Zelina segment next week? Looks like they're saving this match until evolution 2 so I do like they're going to build to the match so the fans can care about it. Can the smackdown crowds be more engaging when the wrestling happpens please? My only real complaint, other than that, sd good for once? Yeah sd was good!"

[5.0] "It took 10 minutes for the first person to talk. This show really needs to get going more quickly. Eventually opened with Cena cutting arguably his most interesting promo so far. Then the locker room emptied and WWE unleashed their stars. They probably over did it a touch but LA Knight was great value here. 4 way qualifier, was by know means bad but why did it need ANOTHER lackey interrupted finish. They did this TWICE on Raw already. Women's 4 way, basically fine but a little rough in places.Wyatts vs MCMG was ugly, badly paced and badly performed. The Wyatt's have been a disaster and the crowd didn't even care. Next women's 4 way and hallelujah they gave us a good match and a good finish as well. Decent match. Men's four way, not blown away by this. By no means bad, but I expected better. Shinsuke stood out like a sore thumb here. He really has lost a step. Lots of nearly hit spots here and ropey offence. Cody did an awful lot of heavy lifting here and it did the match no favours. The finish in particular felt weak with the obvious winner and pin eater and slightly off reversal. Could have been a house show match to be honest. The obvious highlight of the show came in the middle when Punk and Cena had their inevitable confrontation and it came off ok. Some of the barbs landed, some of them missed and Punk seemed to lose his train of thought a couple of times. The Punk that verbally sparred with Eddie and MJF is long gone now. Still not sold on Cena's heel work but this is by far and a way the most interesting part of the show. Match set up for Truth and Cena as well. Better than most shows but still plenty that didn't scratch an itch for me."

[8.0] "A very decent Smackdown. The opener is very good with Cena saying that everything was planned for a year. Cody wants revenge. Orton is ready to do anything to regain the title and LA Knight wants to prove that he is up to it. Killings attacking Cena was a real treat. The first match is very good. Carmelo Hayes was a real treat again. LA Knight getting cost the match by Reed and Breakker is very good because we see that WWE wants to continue to give importance to Knight. On the other hand, Orton winning is not good. I would have preferred a Hayes or an Alester. Jacob Fatu and Sikoa delivered a very good promo. Fatu showing that he has freed himself from Sikoa and the latter reminds that without him Jacob is nothing but still wants to forgive Fatu because he loves her. Looking forward to the next one. The fatal 4-way women was nice. Doing Cargill is very good. Naomi's promo shows that this heel turn is doing her a lot of good. Naomi/Stratton can be very cool given the history between the two. The men's tag team is clearly the worst match of the evening. A lot of misses and a blatant lack of interest. I have a hard time with the Wyatt6. The exchange between Punk and Cena was cool too. The third fatal 4-way is in my opinion the worst of the evening but it's still good. The ending is very cool. Having Bliss win is the best choice. The ME is very good. Cody, Priest, Nakamura and Andrade gave us a solid match. Cody winning makes sense even if I don't understand why he's in the KOTR. He pinned Cena at MITB, he could have directly asked for a championship match without going to the KOTR. WWE reacted well this week. We hope it continues."

[4.0] "This was one of the worst SmackDown in my recent memory. I don't know if it's my problem or a problem of the booking team but i find half of the roster really uninteresting and i don't understand certain booking decisions like Wyatt Sicks against the tag teams for no reason. The opener and main event where ok matches, the two females one in between not so much. A totally skippable episode."

[8.0] "Great episode. KQOTR carrying the summer period, just like last year. The Orton-LA-Melo-Black match in particular was excellent and was a great way to kick off the show after an also great opening segment, establishing all the major players in the WWE title scene. The Flair-Bliss-Fyre-Lerae match was also pretty good too. The other 2 four-way matches were good too but not smthn I would tell you to go out of your way to watch. The Wyatt Sicks vs MCMG match was surprisingly underwhelming for the talent involved but that is prolly down to ring rust (Wyatt Sicks haven't had a match in 7 months) which is a shame cause was the only real low point on an otherwise great episode"

[8.0] "This was a excellent show in my opinion. If you want great wrestling, promos, and larger than life characters this what I want weekly from wwe. The rtruth story is definitely the high point for me. The ladies delivered in both their qualifying matches. Only criticism is the wyatt stuff they honestly let these guys/gal cool of entirely, don't know how they salvage this but let's see. Also I would like to add if wwe can keep this up weekly I will be tuning in regularly which I skip most weeks because the wrestling takes a backseat to promos and hype packages but they seemingly filled the show out tremendously!"
