"1) The episode opened exactly like it was supposed to: with the new babyface TNT Champion being interrupted by an enraged heel who thinks himself to be robbed of the championship the week prior. Kyle in that tank top looked as if he ate the old Kyle Fletcher circa 2023 for breakfast. I just hope he's not on gear or something, because I really want to believe that kind of transformation is possible naturally. 2) Btw, I didn't have a chance to congratulate my boy AR Fox with a win at Supercard of Honor - it's still not a win on AEW television, but we're getting close. Obviously, he stood no chance against Ricochet last night, especially with the latter being backed up by the Gates of Agony. 3) I agree with everything Athena said in that promo addressing the Women's World Champion. She literally deconstructed the entire gimmick of "Timeless" Toni Storm, exposing how shallow it actually is - too bad the audience was too busy booing her for speaking the truth. 4) Yep, as expected, this episode of Collision followed the Dynamite's structure, intent, and pacing to a tee. P.S. What the fuck did Death Riders attack Colt Cabana for?"
[6.0] "Besides the main event it was a pretty whatever episode of collision wrestling wise but from a character aspect this was pretty fun. Dustin Rhodes kicked off with a heart felt and solid promo and had a great back and forth with Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis that is building to an interesting match up. Ricochet and AR Fox had an entertaining but disappointing match. Death Riders made their presence know when they attacked Colt Cabana who just so happened to be working commentary this week. I still don't understand why we're continuing the Hangman/Moxley fued immediately after that Texas Deathmatch but it seems that we're either heading towards Blood and Guts or maybe even a Dog Collar match. Megan Bayne and Tay Melo had a match that really should've been a squash. Alex Windsor had a solid Collision debut that headed into some more fun back and forth between Toni Storm and Athena. The tag team fatal 4 way was very disappointing but did build into a fued between Big Bill and Juice Robinson which I'm weirdly interested in after they scrapped in the locker room. Besides the main event, Max Caster had the most entertaining match of the night when Kyle O'Reilly had to chase him around the ring while he begged him to stop. Katsuyori Shibata and Rush had a stiff exchange that much like the opener, was entertaining but not as great as I hoped. The big all star multi man match while being a tired gimmick at this point was easily the best match of night and a saving grace for a mixed bag of mediocrity that was this episode of Collision."
[5.0] "A Collision in the same vein as Dynamite. A few off-ring segments were a bit interesting but not excellent (Athena, Death Riders, Rhodes/Fletcher), and some relatively unremarkable matches, with little or no real suspense. In-ring quality: 2/5. Angles and non-match segments: 0.75/3. Bonuses/penalties: none. Total: 4.75/10. Show seen on AEW Plus."
[8.0] "Collision begins with Schiavone in the ring bringing out the new TNT champion Dustin Rhodes, He cuts a great promo talking about Dusty and who he told him to always keep stepping and how he is finally the face of TNT and wants to be a fighting champ until he is Interrupted by Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher and Kyle says how Dustin stole his moment and has signed his own death warrant. Then Don offers him a place in the DCF when he loses the belt and says it's better than third wheeling in the Rhodes family and a brawl breaks out and Dustin clears the ring. We then get a conglomeration video package with mark calling out MJF. We then go into the opener between Ricobald and AR Fox a really good fast paced opener, then we got a VT showing Hanger and Moxley and marina Comes out Garrots poor Colt Cabana as Yuta opens him up with a chain and Mox puts him in the chain chock like hangman did to him as he says this is what the fans like the Death riders then leave. We then get a backstage promo from Kris Statlander talking about how willow has costed her and Yuta tries to tell stat champions bounce back but is dragged away by Marina it was a nice touch that Kris protected Lexy after what had just happened to colt. Then we go straight into Megan Bayne vs Tay Melo which was a good hard hitting women's match. We then go back to Sky flight team and Don Callis the Carny is still trying to grow the DCF I love him for that tries to recruit them but CD tells him not and offers Don a match. Then we have one of the matches I was waiting for Alex Windsor's (the best British women's wrestler right now) debut against Taya A nice showing from Alex in a mid length squash. Then as her arm is raised she is interrupted by Athena and she cuts a great promo mocking Toni and then out comes Toni to respond. Absolutely golden segment this feud is gonna be excellent. Then we get a backstage with Anthony Bowens and Sadly Billy Gunn (god I hate him) talking about how Bowens is not focused . Then with have The 200k 4 way tag match between Big bill and Bryan Keith, GOA, The Gunns and Cru a good solid tag team match all round. We then got a video package about Nick Wayne's turn a week ago. Then Max Caster is in the ring for who can survive the best wrestler alive and is answers by Kyle O'Reilly who was clearly bored and fancied twating someone about. Some nice comedy in the match tbf making it different to some of the other open challenges. We then got a backstage promo from Juice pissed of the bang bang gang lost the match and he then ends up fighting with big bill. Then we go into the match everyone was hyped for when it was announced Rush vs Shibata which was a great hard hitting match with a. Good post match angle to set up The Opps vs LFI for the trios belts. Then we go into the main event an 8 man tag between The DCF vs Jetspeed, Bandido and Mascara Dorada this match was a banger to close the show. Overall a good episode with a bit of main event story with the Death Riders attack on Cabana and the Toni and Athena promo but more of a focus on other wrestlers and story and building up stars in what might be the best mid card in history. With some great in ring action in the All star tag, Rush/Shibata with it also building the trios division for an Opps LFI match in future and Megan vs Tay being a good match. MOTN is definitely the All Star 8 man"
[6.0] "Alright show brought down by too much time given to Gates of Agony and the Death Riders shenanigans continuing. Main event was good. Rocky looked like he dialed back the clock. Very smooth in the ring."
[6.0] "Some slightly more relevant stuff happened on this collision which isn't the norm, especially for a taped episode. Death Riders still exist I guess, emotional promo from Dustin but they can't get that title away from him faster, very good segment between Toni and Athena, Gunns are cursed at this point, such an unfortunate injury. Matches were okay but nothing you need to go out of your way to watch. Just a decent show."
[6.0] "A slightly weird Collision. I enjoyed the opening Rhodes/Fletcher promo. The Death Riders angle was good in isolation but it appears we are going to be stuck with them circling Hangman when I would really like something fresh. Matches were all fine."
[6.0] "Gigantic tags aside, Collision was better than Dynamite this week. A few stories developed and there were several singles matches, with my idrink match of the night being Shibata vs Rush. That match leaned into the strong-style cliches a little too much but was otherwise okay, with an interesting contrast between Rush's intensity and Shibata's stoicism."
[7.0] "I enjoyed it enough. The opening segment with Dustin Rhodes, Kyle Fletcher, and Don Callis was really good and set up a feud that will more than likely end with Fletcher as TNT champion. Also Athena and Toni Storm segment was entertaining. The matches were decent with nothing really standing out except Shibata/Rush."
[8.0] "The best compliment I can give this show is that it flew by. There were lots of seamless transitions throughout that the show felt like one long thread that never oversatyed its welcome. Mox & The Death Riders killing Colt Cabana and leaving him to hang was godly and intertwining that with the Kris interview was really good, makes Kris protecting Lexie Nair backstage make a lot of sense and more compelling. I think Kris will be heavily involved in the eventual COMPLETE dismantling of the Death Riders. In terms of in-ring, this show had a VERY high floor. All matches were really fun and also effective, the show in general has set up or furthered the setups of many matches: Athena vs Toni, Gunns vs Rico/GOA, Hechicero vs Bandido , LFI vs The Opps and not to mention setting up other TV matches. The main event in particular was awesome and so was Rush vs Shibata. Overall, a real good show and arguably better than Dynamite"
[8.0] "I think i'd consider this episode of collision to be the "standard bearer" of what a damn good episode of collision should be, main event stories getting some highlights, but mostly filling out alot of the midcard with damn good wrestling, elevating people that need tv wins, giving some super strong time to the women, great all star tag team matches, and the tnt title getting a good bit of love aswell, all in all a great show, Bandido feels like a true face of Collision currently, and I can't wait for more Athena :)"
