Insgesamt also eine durchschnitte Ausgabe Dynamite."
[5.0] "This is a completely forgettable go-home show. I don't think anyone will remember anything from this. Everything around the Death Riders is mid at best. Ospreay and Knight was kind of fun and I'm glad Brody King gets wins against other big guys. The only memorable thing is Swerve telling Page in the last segment that he knows he deserved what Adam did to him."
"At first, I found it strange to put a World Champion and his challenger in a mixed tag team match just a few days before their PPV bout. The key word here is "MIXED" tag team match, meaning there could be no other configuration than the champion vs the challenger one on one, which effectively takes away from their upcoming match in a couple of days on PPV. Thankfully, they were smart enough to do a tornado-type match to somehow minimize the direct interaction between Swerve and Jon. Of course, now we know why the mixed tag team match was arranged in the first place - to give Moxley an opportunity to hit Willow with that devastating DDT. And what a great spot that was! Women so rarely get attacked by men in pro wrestling, that when they do it it really looks like something unacceptable and outrageous. Add to that the segment with Swerve admitting his fault to Adam Page and the cool looking visuals of the former raising himself up from "the dead" after being slammed on shattered glass, and you end up with a pretty strong go-home segment for the World Title Match."
[7.0] "It was a decent episode of Dynamite, but felt a bit underwhelming for a go home show. The opening tag match was fun. The rest of the matches were all fine, but nothing spectacular or particularly noteworthy. The best moment was the confrontation between Swerve and Hangman that resulted in Swerve admitting he deserved what Hangman did to him. It was good character development and now it's going to be interesting to see what direction the next arc between these two takes. Will Hangman help Swerve this Sunday when the Death Riders no doubt interfere? Will the show close with Swerve in the middle of the ring, title in hand, staring down at Hangman in the walkway realising that he just helped him win?"
[6.0] "An okay go-home show before Dynasty. I felt like this episode peaked after the opening match. The rest of the matches were okay on the show. The main highlight for me had to be the brief Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page segment where Swerve Strickland acknowledged his house should've been burnt down by Hangman Page."
[6.0] "This episode was mostly okay. It was pretty watchable, but I forgot it was a go-home show. The Hangman and Swerve stuff adds some intrigue, and I liked that Swerve came out and said he was going to do something that very episode. I think this Swerve vs Moxley build has been too short for them to want to end Moxley's reign with it. I think we're in for the long haul with that one until All In, but there's an interesting story brewing with Swerve and Hangman which adds some unpredictablity. The main event match was your typical Copeland steamer. A mediocre match would probably wouldn't be so bad if five or so minutes shorter."
[3.0] "Really underwhelming go home show that doesn't make you excited for the Dynasty PPV which seems fitting because the majority of the PPV (outside of the headlining 3 matches) are thrown together last minute. Opening match was a complete mess and we got a yet another weird segment with Syndicate and MJF that didn't do anything for me. Toni and Penelope match was decent but felt extremely rushed, the match itself and the post match angle. We could have had a hot angle between Toni and Bayne leading up to their match at the PPV but obviously we're very short on time because Cope needs his 20 minute matches to kill the entire vibe! 2 last minute thrown together matches were extremely underwhelming as well. One plus was the announcement of the Owen Hart tournament which looks to be very stacked. Overall a really poor show that not only doesn't continue the momentum from the previous weeks but also makes me not really all that excited for what's coming next. Consistency seems to be one of the biggest struggles of AEW for a while and it seems that it'll continue to be so."
[6.0] "This episode featured a lot of the wrestlers I'm not overly invested in. Cool MJF promo, and I got to see Toni Storm earn a victory over Penelope Ford, Will Ospreat was in action, and my favorite match of the night Brody King knocks off Lance Archer."
[8.0] "Schöne Go Home Show mit klasse Segmenten, stellenweise auch starker in Ring Action und vorallem Fortführung von den wichtigen Stories. Der PPV kann kommen, denn Dynamite hat alles dafür getan"
"8/10 show - The construction of Swerve in AEW works well and his has the potential to shine again at Dynasty. While the Cope/Claudio main event wasn't too exciting on paper, it turned out to be a very good single match finishing the show on a high note. The women's bracket looks stacked, and the wildcard twist adds real intrigue to All In."
[7.0] "Things that sometimes takes my enjoyment of the AEW product is matches like Brody King vs Lance Archer that are good matches but you already know the winner because one of them is announced to bigger things like the Owen Cup, is it really that difficult to just make this match an opportunity to enter the tournament? Same with Kevin Knight, I understand he's the Jay White's replacement but just make him earn his shot. Still a solid go home show, started with a very cool mixed tag, even though Marina is not quite ready for big matches, it was entertaining with both girls taking finishers from Swerve and Moxley. I wasn't excited for Edge vs Antonio Cesaro in the main event but it turned out to be a good match, maybe the best Cope singles no stip since a long time. My moment of the night is the brief Swerve/Hangman confrontation, a thing of beauty, I liked the closing segment with Swerve taking a powerbomb on glass but it lacked blood. Dynasty is gonna be another banger AEW PPV."
Runde Sache."
[8.0] "In terms of pure quality of a show this is probably a 7 but that's the benefit of the doubt you get when the direction is good. The show long angle with Swerve was good and Willow getting taken out justifies her not being in the Owen. The bracket for the women is REALLY good and it features pretty much the best (in kayfabe) 8 women on the roster. The men's bracket is not as good but still pretty decent and tbf to them Jay White being out hurts it. Would've liked to see Hobbs and Hologram. The MJF/Hurt Syndicate stuff is interesting and I have no idea where it's going and that's part of the fun. Ospreay continues to come off as the best babyface they have and might force their hand sooner than later to strap him up. The Swerve/Hangman interaction was fantastic and could mean several things, the identity of the wildcard will inform lots of things about the All In card. The Cope match was the Cope match, it is what it is. The Dynasty Card solidifies it as a B-show but is still pretty good in the sense I expect most matches to do well but like any B-show it's not stacked so it will come down to the main event. Swerve HAS to win, the amount of good faith and momentum it will create is immeasurable. Swerve was never given a fair shot because when he was given the title, everything else sucked. Now would be a real chance."
[7.0] "Another good Dynamite, albeit not as good as the previous weeks. It manges to keep the momentum high going into Dynasty. Opening tornado tag was fun. Willow is goated and the match was wildy entertaining. Moxley hitting Willow with a death rider post-match was crazy. He gotta die at Dynasty. Toni vs. Penelope was fine. MJF/Hurt Syndicate angle was fine. Cool Big Bill/Bryan Keith squash. Kevin Knight/Ospreay vs. Jonhson/Blake Christian was good. Knight has already won me over, the guy is going to do magic with Ospreay at Dynasty. Brody vs. Archer was solid. Cope vs. Claudio was a lot better than I expected, nice match. Swerve/Hangman backstage confrontation sent shives down my spine. Swerve admitting his guilt and Hangman not being able to cope with that was just crazy. Then the final beatdown on Swerve by the Death Riders was fun too. Powerbomb onto the glass was crazy. Swerve getting with the glass in his back to end the show was great. Overall: opener and main event were fun. Final angle was great. Stuff in the middle was solid, albeit not super interesting all the time. The Owen Hart Cut brackets look great."
